EU & UNDP Host Photography Exhibition in East Jerusalem

The exhibition takes the audience on a journey through the old streets of Salah Eddin and Sultan Suleiman, illustrating historic photographs and memories of some 25 shop owners with their old family photos at the shop; a tradition that has been passed on from one generation to another. These owners are having their shops, which are housed in Waqf buildings, rehabilitated through the PURE programme.

First report on the partnership between the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Arab States was released today in Brussels. “From constitutional change that finally recognizes the voices of women, to democratic elections, to innovative programmes that help turn the young away from the siren song of violent extremism, our joint work is at the forefront of change in the Arab world”, said Mourad Wahba, Director of UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Arab States.
