Missed Our Tyee Event on the ‘Future of Working’? Watch It Here
Is there a way to prosper doing precarious work? How will co-working communities band together? How will unions evolve in the years to come? Is job stability even possible?
The Tyee recently hosted “(In)secure: The Future of Working” to explore the future of work with a diverse range of speakers: economist Henry Siu of UBC, co-working advocate Ashley Proctor, veteran labour journalist Rod Mickleburgh, Ambrosia Vertesi of Duo Security and formerly Hootsuite, and human rights advocate Byron Cruz.
Gordon Katic of Cited, a podcast and syndicated radio program about research and higher education, moderated the event. You can listen to Cited’s great podcast of the event here.
The event was proudly co-presented with SFU's Vancity Office of Community Engagement, with support from United Steelworkers, Vancity, Community Savings, SFU Public Square, Urban Worker Project, BC Federation of Labour, and Changemakers Vancouver.
