It’s so hard to even like you
Cuz you’re so set in your ways
No one else would take all your shit
So you laid it all on me
You think I’m stupid
You think I’m naïve
But I can see you lying through your teeth
The person that I thought I knew
Isn’t you and couldn’t be so far out of reach
I love you, despise you
But there ain’t no one like you
Together or apart
You’re always breaking my heart
[CHORUS:]
It doesn’t matter what I say
Got a way of turning it around on me
Nothing’s ever good enough for you, you
It doesn’t matter what I do
Cuz everything’s always been about you
Nothing’s ever good enough for you, you
You don’t like it
When I fight it
When I stand up for myself
I bet if you had your way
I’d be sitting pretty
Sitting pretty on your shelf
I love you, despise you
But there ain’t no one like you
Together or apart
You’re always breaking my heart
[CHORUS]
[BRIDGE:]
I know it’s wrong but you always fill that empty space
Just one look and it’s over, all over again
There’s no use lying
Ain’t denying that I like the pain
You got a way of making my whole body ache
Just a test to see how much that I can take
There is no happy end
Let’s see how far I can bend til I break
