On 18 January 2018 the UNDP electoral project in partnership with the Press Council as part of its political journalism component launched a comprehensive training programme for journalists in Dili. The Press Council will run the training programme for six months consisting of two modules every week starting from February.
On 15 December 2017, UNDP Timor-Leste, Jeju Province of Korea and the Directorate of Forestry, Coffee and Industrial Plant of Timor-Leste launched "Jeju – Timor-Leste Friendship Forest" on after signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the three parties on 14 December 2017
