Living History is a 2003 memoir by Hillary Rodham Clinton (a former First Lady and future Secretary of State of the United States), at which time she was a sitting Senator from New York.
In December 2000, Simon & Schuster agreed to pay Clinton a reported $8 million advance for what became Living History—a near-record figure to an author for an advance at that time. Critics charged that the book deal, coming soon after her election to the U.S. Senate, but before being sworn into office, was not in adherence to the ethical standards required for members of the U.S. Senate. However, in February 2001, the Senate Ethics Committee gave Clinton approval for the deal.
Living may refer to:
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
History (from Greek ἱστορία, historia, meaning "inquiry, knowledge acquired by investigation") is the study of the past, particularly how it relates to humans. It is an umbrella term that relates to past events as well as the memory, discovery, collection, organization, presentation, and interpretation of information about these events. Scholars who write about history are called historians. Events occurring prior to written record are considered prehistory.
History can also refer to the academic discipline which uses a narrative to examine and analyse a sequence of past events, and objectively determine the patterns of cause and effect that determine them. Historians sometimes debate the nature of history and its usefulness by discussing the study of the discipline as an end in itself and as a way of providing "perspective" on the problems of the present.
Stories common to a particular culture, but not supported by external sources (such as the tales surrounding King Arthur), are usually classified as cultural heritage or legends, because they do not show the "disinterested investigation" required of the discipline of history.Herodotus, a 5th-century BC Greek historian is considered within the Western tradition to be the "father of history", and, along with his contemporary Thucydides, helped form the foundations for the modern study of human history. Their works continue to be read today, and the gap between the culture-focused Herodotus and the military-focused Thucydides remains a point of contention or approach in modern historical writing. In Asia, a state chronicle, the Spring and Autumn Annals was known to be compiled from as early as 722 BC although only 2nd century BC texts survived.
Getting Started is a 1979 animated short by Richard Condie and produced in Winnipeg by the National Film Board of Canada.
The film is a comical look at procrastination, based partly on the filmmaker's own experiences, portraying the inability of a pianist to rehearse a Debussy composition.
Awards for Getting Started included the Genie Award for best animation film. The film also won awards at the Zagreb World Festival of Animated Films and the Tampere Film Festival, as well as a "Bijou" at the Canadian Short Film and Television Awards.
WKRC-TV, VHF digital channel 12, is a CBS-affiliated television station located in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which operates MyNetworkTV affiliate WSTR-TV (channel 64) through a local marketing agreement with its owner Deerfield Media. WKRC broadcasts from a combined studio/transmitter facility on Highland Avenue in the Mount Auburn section of Cincinnati.
WKRC-TV first signed on the air on April 4, 1949, originally operating as a CBS affiliate on VHF channel 11; it is Cincinnati's second-oldest television station. The station was owned by the Ohio-based Taft family, who were active in both politics and in media. The Tafts published The Cincinnati Times-Star, and also owned WKRC radio (550 AM and 101.9 FM, now WKRQ) under their broadcasting subsidiary, Radio Cincinnati. In 1958, the Tafts sold the Times-Star to the locally based rival E. W. Scripps Company, owner of the The Cincinnati Post and WCPO-AM-FM-TV. The Tafts' broadcasting interests were then reorganized as Taft Broadcasting, with WKRC-AM-FM-TV as the flagship stations. The WKRC stations' call letters were derived from the original owner of WKRC radio, Clarence Ogden of the Kodel Radio Company ("Ko" for Clarence O. and "dell" for Della his wife).

MOUNT AIRY, Ohio (Rich Jaffe) -- Imagine trying to raise children living in a cold apartment crawling with roaches. That was exactly the situation a Local 12 investigation found inside multiple buildings owned by one particular landlord whose properties are scattered around Mt. Airy. The landlords name is Vinh Vu. He owns more than half a dozen buildings and Local 12 found conditions in those buildings go from bad to worse. But as bad as things looked inside those buildings, most of his tenants were afraid to speak up about it. Inside one of Vu's apartments on Kipling Local 12 found holes in the walls, cheap patches falling off, and the tenants forced to heat with their oven. There were roaches crawling everywhere. The apartment housed two women, two young boys, and a baby. They were...

U.S. income growth is slowing. But rather than stepping back, and tightening their belts, American consumers are swiping their credit cards to maintain their spending levels. “When your income is going down, and you’ve got a lot of bills, what do you do?” asks Hedgeye CEO Keith McCullough in the video clip above. Let’s run through some numbers: • Income: Year-over-year growth has declined from 6.3% in 2014 to just 4.0% today • Revolving Credit: There’s been a commensurate rise in revolving credit over that period, from 3.6% to 5.8% respectively, to help plug the spending gap. “Bankers are going down the FICO file to give them all the kinds of credit that they want,” McCullough says. We don’t think this story has a happy ending.

Walk with Junius Maltby from the Medieval times through to Pre-War England (Britain) as we explore the coins, currency, wages, and costs of living in this culturally rich and important land. I am learning about these coins as an American. I had no exposure to British coinage in life. Only a handful of times did I ever even see a Pound coin. Recently a subscriber generously sent me some British coinage. Here I am not infatuated with it all. I plan to gather at the very least, an example of each iconic coin from various periods in British history. They can be slicks and merely good condition - the more worn the better! I will know then that the coin extinguished debts numerous times, was carried by many, saved by some and eventually landed on my shelf as a display. What an interes...

You wish your dreams away
Why don't you get that gun It could be so much fun
We're biding our time together
We're trying but it doesn't matter
Because we're living in We're living in
Look what progressions done Just look at what it's become
They made things happen fast but never made them last

We're trying but it doesn't matter
Because we're living in We're living in
Too many problems in my life
I wish they'd all just get away
