KLRU, virtual channel 18 (UHF digital channel 22), is a PBS member television station located in Austin, Texas, United States. The station is owned by the Capital of Texas Public Telecommunications Council. KLRU's studios are located on Guadalupe and Dean Keeton streets at the University of Texas at Austin, and its transmitter is located on the West Austin Antenna Farm in unincorporated Travis County. In addition to airing program content from PBS, it produces original programming including the national music series Austin City Limits.
The station first signed on the air on May 3, 1979 as a satellite of KLRN in San Antonio. Before KLRU's sign-on, KLRN had served both cities from the Jesse H. Jones Communications Center on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Channel 18 had been allocated to Austin as a noncommercial frequency in the early 1950s, but it was thought that a UHF station would not be nearly be adequate enough to provide educational television for a market that stretched from Mason in the west to La Grange in the east. This left Austin as one of the largest cities without its own PBS station.
Nature Cat is an educational American-Canadian children's animated television series. The series premiered on November 25, 2015 on PBS Kids after Wild Kratts: A Creature Christmas special. The series is aimed at children aged 3 to 8 years old, following the adventures of four main characters: Nature Cat, Hal the Dog, Daisy the Bunny and Squeeks the Mouse. The series follows Fred, a house cat with dreams of exploring outside. Once his family leaves for the day, he transforms into Nature Cat, who cannot wait for backyard nature excursions. However, Fred has one problem: he has no instincts for nature. Through the learning experiences of the characters, this series intends to encourage children to similarly engage with and develop understanding of nature, a motive which draws inspiration from the book Last Child in the Woods which concerns the decreased exposure of nature to American children.
All of the cast members (with the exception of Kate Micucci) are currently the cast members of NBC's hit late-night sitcom, Saturday Night Live.
So, yesterday, something pretty bizarre happened. I woke up and checked my recordings as usual...and was quite shocked to find KLRU (the Austin PBS station) instead of KNCT! This happened from about the early morning (don't know when) until about 8:15 or so, when Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood was on. I guess KNCT was having trouble running their station or something, and mirrored the KLRU broadcast for the time being; and as such, by complete accident, I ended up with a few KLRU bumpers! This was recorded during an airing of Nature Cat. What you see here is the few things I got before and after the show. I cleanly cut from the opening funding credits to the closing credits (essentially leaving out the show proper), providing you with all I ended up with as a result of this fiasco. List of ...

The Concert Chorale of The University of Texas at Austin, under the baton of Patrick Gardner, performs Lou Harrison's La Koro Sutro for KLRU television's Front and Center program, in February, 1990.... I procured this videotape soon after the performance; the video is of rather poor quality (it was that way when I received it), although the audio quality fares better. The program WAS recorded in color, and you will see some color segments, but strangely most of this video is in black-and-white. Unfortunately no one else seems to have a better copy (including UT-Austin and KLRU), so for now, this is all we have. But if there's any fellow Concert Chorale alum who can point me toward a better copy, I'd be very grateful if you could share it. In the meantime, I clearly see the faces of man...

Sorry, but lying and posting up in subliminal text will never get Passed,
We clearly can see your more ass than 100 pages of the Playboy Mag.
But that's irrelevant, I could just post a few bars that question Intelligence,
'cause your mind is absent of good flow like Black children and Negligence,
And this is the Contestant, A Newbie, Gran Thef trying get a Reference,
You in the Mix with Killer but this shit don't help fags with a Sexual preference,
This is only development, shedding the extra weight like dietary supplements,
Like when Killer and Hitler murdered Mil.s when we controlled the Nazis Government,
Gran Thef, no petty thef, your inferior, could not steal a caravan with that Criteria,
You could hold hostage a Morgue and fail at capturing cases of Malaria,
I see a pussy, Damn tasty and eatable, no lie I enjoy the Aroma,
Nobody matched my persona, I got crazy prices, get you half off a rental Coma...
Or the specialty for Gran Thef, a Flight Jacket with a reversal zip up Body Bag...
A John Doe tag, and a mummified pipe broken off in his Ass,
If it happens that me Killer happens to win this battle, prepare for Violence,
'cause the whole forum will join forces against me Killer vs the Gay Alliance,
Gran thef is all glory, with his fabricated stories, I depicted he's not Villain,
Go head a lose your mind, you ain't crazy just a little hazy from popping P enicillin,
