When they built 417 back in 1990 they always planned to have a direct connection between 417 and the airport. Traffic demands really weren't there so you got down on Boggy Creek Road, made your way up into the airport. You're down on service roads, there's traffic lights, there's, you know, people just going to and from home or work mixing with the airport traffic.
You know, if you can imagine the airport doesn't really have an off peak because planes arrive and depart at all times so really their peak could be anytime in early morning or late afternoon. Down at Lake Nona, which is located just outside the southern entrance to the airport, we have Medical City coming in so you got Burnham's Research Institute. University of Central Florida has a medical school that's come in there. Nemours Children's Hospital. You have a new veterans hospital and all the supporting facilities to this growing medical group.
Quick and easy access to the airport has a major selling point so the project was intended to provide direct connection ramps. This way the only traffic on those ramps is either going into the airport or coming out of the airport. They don't have to mix. I think the community will benefit a lot from this project because it, taking the airport traffic away from the existing Diamond Interchange, well now that improves the capacity of that existing interchange.
Also the county has a tremendous amount of tourism because they're so close to the major attractions so they look at it as a benefit to their county even though it's located in Orange County. The airport's actually owned by the city of Orlando so the city gets a benefit out of this. Lake Nona with Medical City, you know, veterans hospital is going to have good access to the airport now. The children's hospital will have good access. It really benefits the whole community.

Creek Road (SEPTA Route 102 station)
Creek Road (formerly Oakview) is a stop on the SEPTA Route 102 (Sharon Hill) trolley line in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. It is located at the end of Station Road north of Creek Road (although SEPTA gives the address as being at Darby Creek Road at Railroad) within Indian Rock Park, a 21.9-acre (89,000 m2) Natural Environmental Park in Drexel Hill, containing picnic tables, playground equipment, basketball courts, and Darby Creek.
Trolleys arriving at this station travel between 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania. Oakview might have little significance were it not for the fact that the stop is near the bridge over Darby Creek and Creek Road. Besides the aforementioned features within Indian Rock Park, the street leads to a historic Swedish Log Cabin built sometime around 1654, which is believed to be the oldest log house in North America.

Bear Creek Road Slide January 2017 During the recent, early-January storms and heavy rainfall, one lane of Bear Creek Road in Boulder Creek, CA, gave way and washed out on Sunday night, January 8, 2017. Views of the slide area are shown and contrasted with a previous view looking up at the slide area from Bear Creek on October 18, 2013. This video also shows conditions on Bear Creek Road with only one lane open while the San Lorenzo Valley Water District works quickly to establish an emergency bypass waterline around the slide/construction site. -

Riding my Buell Blast through one of the three tunnels along Valley Creek RD. in Downingtown Pennsylvania. The other tunnels have the Brandywine River running through them. There is also a shaft in one of them where you can sunlight. On my trip up Valley Creek road i found a lot of historic farm houses, and even ruins of an old stone house. These tunnels sit under an abandoned rail road. -

You know, if you can imagine the airport doesn't really have an off peak because planes arrive and depart at all times so really their peak could be anytime in early morning or late afternoon. Down at Lake Nona, which is located just outside the southern entrance to the airport, we have Medical City coming in so you got Burnham's Research Institute. University of Central Florida has a medical school that's come in there. Nemours Children's Hospital. You have a new veterans hospital and all the supporting facilities to this growing medical group.
Quick and easy access to the airport has a major selling point so the project was intended to provide direct connection ramps. This way the only traffic on those ramps is either going into the airport or coming out of the airport. They don't have to mix. I think the community will benefit a lot from this project because it, taking the airport traffic away from the existing Diamond Interchange, well now that improves the capacity of that existing interchange.
Also the county has a tremendous amount of tourism because they're so close to the major attractions so they look at it as a benefit to their county even though it's located in Orange County. The airport's actually owned by the city of Orlando so the city gets a benefit out of this. Lake Nona with Medical City, you know, veterans hospital is going to have good access to the airport now. The children's hospital will have good access. It really benefits the whole community.

Quick and easy access to the airport has a major selling point so the project was intended to provide direct connection ramps. This way the only traffic on those ramps is either going into the airport or coming out of the airport. They don't have to mix. I think the community will benefit a lot from this project because it, taking the airport traffic away from the existing Diamond Interchange, well now that improves the capacity of that existing interchange.
Also the county has a tremendous amount of tourism because they're so close to the major attractions so they look at it as a benefit to their county even though it's located in Orange County. The airport's actually owned by the city of Orlando so the city gets a benefit out of this. Lake Nona with Medical City, you know, veterans hospital is going to have good access to the airport now. The children's hospital will have good access. It really benefits the whole community.

Cantua Creek Road Race 45+ cat4
Last half of the 2013 Cantua Creek Road Race, 45+ Cat4. There were about 50 starters, for 2 out and back runs of 12 miles each way, 48 miles total. The race was just over 2 hours and average speed was 22.8mph. We pick up the action as we start the climb to finish the first lap. I committed a serious tactical error by being too far back at the turn around. The main group hammered down the hill and dropped a lot of guys. I had to race hard for a long time to catch back on, but it drained me for the final climb, so I faded to 12th place. Fun race though!

Grab your exercise bike and let's ride! Join me on a ride up Tunitas Creek Road, another climb that's been featured in the Tour of California (although not decisive). Starting at the Bike Hut, you can see the climb ahead in the distance. The climb starts about 8-9 min into the video and runs right through a Redwood forest so you can't see the steepness, but here's a clue, if I'm going slow and breathing hard, it's steep! It flattens off towards the top and I find myself in a sprint to the finish with another cyclist. I really enjoyed this climb.

Last half of the 2013 Cantua Creek Road Race, 45+ Cat4. There were about 50 starters, for 2 out and back runs of 12 miles each way, 48 miles total. The race was just over 2 hours and average speed was 22.8mph.
We pick up the action as we start the climb to finish the first lap. I committed a serious tactical error by being too far back at the turn around. The main group hammered down the hill and dropped a lot of guys. I had to race hard for a long time to catch back on, but it drained me for the final climb, so I faded to 12th place. Fun race though!

We were in our Orange Crush '12 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited, Miss Rubi, and dropped tire pressure to 22 PSI to help smooth out the washboard. Our freinds Dave and Ronda were in their '06 Jeep Rubicon, and were also aired down to 22 PSI.
