Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise (born Thomas Cruise Mapother IV; July 3, 1962) is an American actor and filmmaker. Cruise has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won three Golden Globe Awards. He started his career at age 19 in the 1981 film Endless Love. After portraying supporting roles in Taps (1981) and The Outsiders (1983), his first leading role was in the romantic comedy Risky Business, released in August 1983. Cruise became a full-fledged movie star after starring as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in the action drama Top Gun (1986). Since 1996, he has been well known for his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible film series, whose most recent film, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, was released in 2015.

One of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood, Cruise starred in several more successful films in the 1980s, including the dramas The Color of Money (1986), Cocktail (1988), Rain Man (1988), and Born on the Fourth of July (1989). In the 1990s, he starred in a number of hit films, including the romance Far and Away (1992), the drama A Few Good Men (1992), the legal thriller The Firm (1993), the romantic horror film Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994), the romantic comedy-drama sports film Jerry Maguire (1996), the erotic thriller Eyes Wide Shut, and the drama Magnolia (both 1999).

In doing so Cruise became the first and only person as of 2014 to star in a Best Picture Oscar winner and a Worst Picture Razzie winner in the same year. His next role was as anti-war activist Ron Kovic in the drama adaptation of Kovic's memoir of the same name, Born on the Fourth of July (1989). For his performance Cruise received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama and his first nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Aldis Hodge

Aldis Alexander Basil Hodge (born September 20, 1986) is an American actor best known for portraying Alec Hardison on the TNT series Leverage and MC Ren in the 2015 biopic Straight Outta Compton.

Life and career

Hodge was born on September 20, 1986, in Onslow County, North Carolina. Both of his parents, Aldis Basil Hodge and Yolette Evangeline Richardson, served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Hodge's mother is from Florida, while his father is originally from Dominica. Aldis is the younger brother of actor Edwin Hodge.

Hodge played both the clarinet and the violin as a child, but as an adult, his focus is on the violin; he purchased his first at the age of 18. In addition to acting, Hodge designs watches, writes, and paints.

In 2007, Hodge was awarded the role of Alec Hardison on the day of his 21st birthday. In 2010, he received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Television for this role on Leverage. The win went to Aaron Paul of AMC's Breaking Bad.

Thomas Daniel Cruise or Tom Cruise (born 9 March 1991) is an English professional footballer who, until recently, played for Torquay United. He is a product of Arsenal Academy who came to prominence during 2008–09 FA Youth Cup. He can play as a central defender, left back or left midfielder.

Club career

Cruise joined in and made his debut for Arsenal F.C. Reserves in November 2007. Through Arsenal Academy, Cruise was a member of the FA Youth Cup winning team in 2008–09. On 9 December 2009, with Arsenal having qualified for the knockout stage of the 2009–10 UEFA Champions League as winners of Group H, manager Arsène Wenger played a number of youth players in the final group match against Olympiacos. Cruise started the match, giving him his first and only senior appearance for the club, playing the whole game. On 3 November 2010, he joined Football League One side Carlisle United on loan. On 17 June 2011, Arsenal's website announced; "Arsenal Football Club can confirm that Mark Randall, Thomas Cruise and Roarie Deacon will reach the end of their contracts with the Club this month to become free agents."
