Our suppliers

Sustainable food choices are very important to us here at CERES and they link to all of the food enterprises we operate from what we stock in the Grocery  to what features on the menu at The Merri Table. We take pride in the relationships that we have established with local farmers and trust in their products and processes. Our partnerships with farmers and producers support a localised food system that gives back to those who care for the earth, their produce and animals. All of the meat and dairy products on our menu are organic, free range and cruelty free.

Room hire catering

With an emphasis on organic, fresh local and seasonal food The Merri Table Catering is the perfect complement to your CERES experience. Please see our daytime catering menu for options. All day catering is currently available from The Merri Table, with functions and event catering by request.

The all day catering menu offers a variety of morning tea and lunch options, all made here at CERES. All the food served is organic, local and seasonal and we have delicious options for vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten free.  We are able to cater to most group sizes and are able to ensure fresh, healthy food is available within the break times required by your meeting. To make a catering booking

Please email us at merricatering@ceres.org.au (preferred) or phone: 03 9389 0166 (this number is not attended during service times).

You will need to let us know:

• Date
• Time (s)
• Number of people
• Dietary restrictions

We ask that you confirm your order and finalise your payment one week prior to your booking. Any additional food or beverage must be paid for in full on the day of your event or beforehand.

Alternatively your group may wish to dine in the beautiful restaurant space at The Merri Table, choosing from the regular menu. You will need to book ahead for larger groups of 15 or more people.

We are currently reviewing the scope of our offer and can offer catering on weekends and in venues other than the Van Raay Meeting Rooms by request.  If we are unable to assist, such as for short lead bookings, please speak with Venue Hire staff regarding alternative catering arrangements – venuehire@ceres.org.au

Where we are

The Merri Table is the building on your left when you enter CERES through the main gates on the corner of Roberts and Stewart Streets. If you come in another gate, head up the hill.
