WJRR began operations in 1962 as classical music station WXBR. The station was renamed WCKS in 1968 and adopted a Top 40/CHR format as "CK101." In 1984 the station picked up the WDOQ calls after they were dropped by 101.9 FM in Daytona Beach and the format was changed to rock, then to adult contemporary shortly afterward. 101.1 FM adopted the new calls WSTF in 1985 and became known as "Sunny 101" and later "Star 101", continuing with an adult contemporary format. After a brief stint as WVRI "Variety 101" in the early 1990s, the current WJRR callsign and rock format were adopted on April 19, 1993 as "101.1 WJRR".
Static-X was an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California formed in 1994. The line-up fluctuated over the years, but always held constant with band founder, frontman, vocalist, and guitarist Wayne Static. The band rose to fame with their 1999 debut album Wisconsin Death Trip where the band's heavy industrial metal sound found attention within the burgeoning nu metal movement of the late 1990s, with the album eventually going platinum in the United States. The band released five more albums over the course of the next decade: Machine in 2001, Shadow Zone in 2003, Start a War in 2005, Cannibal in 2007, and Cult of Static 2009.
Shortly after their last album's release, the band entered a hiatus while Static worked on his solo album, Pighammer, in 2011. Static briefly reformed Static-X in 2012, using only members of his solo album's touring band, before officially breaking up in June 2013. On November 1, 2014, Wayne Static died at the age of 48.
Steel Panther is an American comedy-glam hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, mostly known for their profane and humorous lyrics as well as their exaggerated on-stage personae that parody the stereotypical "glam metal" lifestyle in the 1980s.
The quartet began to gain popularity in the Sunset Strip during the early 2000s under the name Metal Shop (soon changed into Metal Skool, then into Steel Panther). Their lineup consists of vocalist Ralph Saenz ("Michael Starr"), drummer Darren Leader ("Stix Zadinia"), bassist Travis Haley ("Lexxi Foxx"), and guitarist Russ Parrish ("Satchel"). The band did weekly shows on Monday nights at the Viper Room, and subsequently the Key Club, playing covers of 1980s hair metal hits while parodying the bands that made the songs famous. Despite the name changes, and some members putting in time in a Van Halen tribute band, they finally managed to gain some success. In 2003 Steel Panther published Hole Patrol, their self-produced debut. The band appeared in a Discover Card advertisement as Danger Kitty and in the sitcom Drew Carey Show as themselves. Also in 2003, their song "Death to All But Metal" was included in a compilation CD called Hey, That's What I Call Sludge! Vol. 1 put out by the Metal Sludge web site. Their cover of the song "Fantasy" by Aldo Nova was used as the opening musical theme for the MTV program Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory. On November 27, 2007 Metal Skool played original songs as well as covers of KISS songs at the Gene Simmons roast, they can be seen in the background of Gene Simmons' reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels. That year, they also appeared as themselves on Las Vegas in the episode "The High Price of Gas".

Donne-moi un sourire pareil
A celui que je veux donner
Il sera le nouveau soleil
D'un monde ? inventer
Des milliers d'oiseaux migrateurs
De leurs ailes tracent le chemin
De libert? et de bonheur
Aux hommes qui na?tront demain
{Refrain:}
Vivre libre de tout mon pass?
Vivre libre pour te rencontrer
Vivre libre, vivre libres toi et moi
Vivre libre, d'amour, de folie
Vivre libre, tu n'as qu'une vie
Vivre libre, vivre libre c'est ma vie
Donnes-moi un amour pareil
A celui que je peux donner
Et nous pourrons changer le ciel
Contre l'?ternit?
Ils ?taient xxxxxxxxx
Si le froid est ? fleur de c?ur
Tu te trouveras au bout de la mer
Dans les pays de fleurs
