The Information Age (also known as the Computer Age, Digital Age, or New Media Age) is a period in human history characterized by the shift from traditional industry that the Industrial Revolution brought through industrialization, to an economy based on information computerization. The onset of the Information Age is associated with the Digital Revolution, just as the Industrial Revolution marked the onset of the Industrial Age.
During the information age, the phenomenon is that the digital industry creates a knowledge-based society surrounded by a high-tech global economy that spans over its influence on how the manufacturing throughput and the service sector operate in an efficient and convenient way. In a commercialized society, the information industry is able to allow individuals to explore their personalized needs, therefore simplifying the procedure of making decisions for transactions and significantly lowering costs for both the producers and buyers. This is accepted overwhelmingly by participants throughout the entire economic activities for efficacy purposes, and new economic incentives would then be indigenously encouraged, such as the knowledge economy.
The Digital Age is a band from Waco, Texas consisting of four of the six members of the former David Crowder Band. It was formed in 2012 after the David Crowder Band's final tour.
The Digital Age is a modern-rock Christian band composed of four of the six musicians from the Grammy-nominated, multiple Dove Award winning David Crowder Band. The Digital Age formed in January 2012, following the final performance of the David Crowder Band at the Passion 2012 conference in Atlanta, Georgia The Digital Age was formed in order to support the David Crowder Band's final album.
In early 2012, the members of The Digital Age constructed a studio in their hometown of Waco, Texas called "Asterisk Sound".
On June 5, 2012, the band released an EP called Rehearsals. The EP consists of six songs which the band also released as YouTube videos, recorded at Asterisk Sound, the first of which were published in April 2012. The EP quickly shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Christian Albums chart, and charted multiple times in Billboard Magazine, reaching No. 12 on the Heatseekers chart, No. 21 on the Top Christian and Gospel Albums chart, and No. 12 on the Top Christian Albums chart.
Digital usually refers to something using digits, particularly binary digits.
Waco /ˈweɪkoʊ/ is a city which is the county seat of McLennan County, Texas, United States. It is situated along the Brazos River and I-35, halfway between Dallas and Austin. The city had a 2010 population of 124,805, making it the 22nd-most populous city in the state. The US Census 2014 population estimate is 130,194. The Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area consists of McLennan and Falls Counties, which had a 2010 population of 234,906. Falls County was added to the Waco MSA in 2013. The US Census 2014 population estimate for the Waco MSA is 260,430.
Indigenous peoples occupied areas along the river for thousands of years. In historic times, the area of present-day Waco was occupied by the Wichita Native American tribe known as the "Waco" (Spanish: Hueco or Huaco).
In 1824, Thomas M. Duke explored the area and reported to Stephen F. Austin, describing the Waco village:
After Austin halted the first attempt to destroy their village in 1825, he made a treaty with them. The Waco eventually moved out of the region, settling north near present-day Fort Worth. In 1872, they joined other Wichita tribes on a reservation in Oklahoma. In 1902, the Waco received allotments of land and became official US citizens.

Rehearsals Vol. 2 out now! Limited Edition Packages available @ https://www.thedigitalagestore.com "It Is Well with My Soul" is a hymn penned by hymnist Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss. This hymn was written after traumatic events in Spafford’s life. The first was the death of their only son from Scarlet Fever in 1870. Second was the 1871 Great Chicago Fire which ruined him financially (he had been a successful lawyer and had invested significantly in property in the area of Chicago which was decimated by the great fire). His business interests were further hit by the economic downturn of 1873 at which time he had planned to travel to Europe with his family on the SS Ville du Havre. In a late change of plan, he sent the family ahead while he was delayed on business concernin...

The world is changing, and it’s changing fast. Technology makes information more accessible every day. This changing digital scene brings with it new challenges to maintaining purity as a Christian—for singles, for couples, and for families as a whole, including children. Christians are called to guard their hearts, and in this session, Tim Challies recommends some tools that do just that. He also explains some ways of bringing about change within one’s heart in order to fight against and repent of sin. We now live in a pervasively digital world and Humanists have an opportunity to rethink our goals. On the one hand, we can now develop research projects that are broader and deeper in scope than was feasible in print culture. First, we can trace ideas across dozens of languages and thousands of years. Second, the explosion of high-resolution digital representations of source texts, objects, and archaeological data sets has, in some quarters, transformed the traditional (and out of fashion) task of editing. At the same time, the shift to a digital world does not simply allow professors to produce more specialist publications. Rather the explosion in source materials available to a global net public requires advanced researchers and library professionals to draw upon student researchers and ...

Humans reliably respond to insult and injury with moral outrage. Judging and punishing others for wrongdoing can deter future harms and promote group cooperation, but can also exacerbate social divides and escalate into destructive cycles of retaliation. This behaviour evolved in the context of small foraging groups, but is now widespread in massive online communities. In this talk Professor Molly Crockett, Associate Professor of Experimental Psychology, will explore how digital media changes the costs and benefits of moral outrage and its implications for social cohesion. Speaker: Tom Fletcher Visiting Professor of International Relations, New York University The iGeneration has more opportunity than any generation before to understand their world, to engage with their world and to shape their world. In the ten years since 9/11 that world has been changed more by American geeks in dorms than Al Qaeda operatives in caves. The most powerful weapon in the Middle East is now the smartphone. Diplomacy now faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities, with digital technology unleashing dangerous forces, which are better able to mobilise and terrorise. But it also allows those promoting community and coexistence to work around traditional elites, and to build new alliances. We need new rules to help manage global affairs. Diplomacy matters more than ever in...
Part 3 of "Reinventing the World - 500 years of the Reformation" examines the parallels between the 18th century and today. Enlightenment thinkers are juxtaposed to modern-day activists, such as the writer Laurie Penny and the architect Van Bo Le-Mentzel. The age of enlightenment dawned in Europe in the 18th century. People began to believe that humanity holds the key to creating a better world. Among them was Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, the philosopher and mathematician, who posited the idea that humankind lives in the best of all possible worlds, and are rational beings capable of bringing order to chaos. In this episode we also explore the life and times of German playwright Gotthold Ephraim Lessing and French revolutionary Olympe de Gouges. In the 17th century - the century of the...

One, two
In a digital age, I'm feeling out done,
It's my brain that can't spell,
And my heart that can't hold down
The keys to type it out.
So even if I can't read, life's a puzzle you see,
I put together the things, that come easy to me,
I played with shapes for thirty years.
So can the crayons and the colorful paints,
That never step foot in the digital age,
And play the songs streamed on video screens,
We don't need shows in a digital scene.
So give up .
So give up .
In the last final days, I'm finding my way,
Hoping I write a song a computer can't fake,
But that's the hypocrite in me.
So can the crayons and the colorful paints,
That never step foot in the digital age,
And play the songs streamed on video screens,
We don't need shows in a digital scene.
So give up .
So give up .
