Loayza Province

Loayza or José Ramón Loayza is a province in the La Paz Department, Bolivia. Its seat is Luribay.

James Paul

James Paul (born 1940 in Forest Grove, Oregon, U.S.) is an American conductor. He is currently the music director and conductor of The Shedd Institute's Oregon Festival of American Music (OFAM) and its American Symphonia, and music director of the Oregon Coast Music Festival.

Career

James Paul studied voice at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, while conducting various student and professional organizations. Following his studies he was awarded the Serge Koussevitsky Memorial Conducting Prize presented by Erich Leinsdorf at the 1967 Tanglewood Music Festival.

Paul then served as conducting fellow with the St. Louis Symphony and conductor of the Bach Society of St. Louis. He subsequently took posts as associate conductor of the Kansas City Philharmonic and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

In 1981 Paul was appointed Music Director of the Baton Rouge Symphony. Under the fifteen years under his leadership, the orchestra became a well-disciplined, highly recognized artistic entity. The Symphony shared the 1983 American Symphony Orchestra League award for most innovative programming with the Brooklyn Philharmonic and was also the only regional orchestra featured on the WFMT Fine Arts Network's Music in America series. In 1984, Paul founded the Baton Rouge Symphony Chorus. A high point of his tenure was the orchestra's triumphant performance on October 22, 1988 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The program included Chadwick’s Jubilee from Symphonic Sketches, Sibelius’ Symphony No. 2 and Beethoven's Piano Concerto Nr. 4 with soloist Abbey Simon. The concert received excellent reviews in both the New York and Louisiana newspapers. Following his final concerts in February 1998, Paul was named Conductor Emeritus, the only conductor so honored by the orchestra in its 50-year history.

Alexis Bledel

Kimberly Alexis Bledel (born September 16, 1981) is an American actress. She is known for her role as Rory Gilmore in the WB/CW comedy-drama Gilmore Girls. She has since starred in films, including Tuck Everlasting, Sin City, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and Post Grad.

Early life

Bledel was born in Houston, Texas to Nanette (née Dozier), who worked as a gift processor and flight attendant, and Martín Bledel. She has a younger brother, Eric. Her father was born and raised in Argentina. Her paternal grandfather, Enrique Einar Bledel Huus, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was of Danish and distant German descent; Enrique was Vice President of Coca-Cola Latin America and the Coca-Cola Inter-American Corporation. Bledel's paternal grandmother, Jean (née Campbell), was originally from New York, and had Scottish and English ancestry. Bledel's mother, Nanette, was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and moved to Guadalajara, Mexico, at the age of eight; Nanette was raised there, and in Mexico City. Bledel's mother is of Mexican descent. Of her parents' upbringing in Latin America, Bledel has stated "It's the only culture my mom knows from life, and my father as well, and they made the decision to raise their children within the context they had been raised in". Bledel grew up in a Spanish-speaking household, and did not learn English until she began school; she considers herself a Latina.

Matt Czuchry

Matthew Charles "Matt" Czuchry (/ˈzʊkri/; born May 20, 1977) is an American actor. He portrayed Logan Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls and since 2009 has been co-starring as Cary Agos on the CBS television series The Good Wife.

Early life

Czuchry was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, and grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee. His father, Andrew Czuchry, is a professor at East Tennessee State University, and his mother, Sandra, is a housewife. He is of Ukrainian descent on his father's side. He has two brothers and a sister.

He graduated from Science Hill High School in 1995. Czuchry graduated with honors in 1999 from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science. He won the Mr College of Charleston pageant in 1998. Czuchry attended college on a tennis scholarship, captained the men's tennis team, and was an NCAA ranked player in the Southern Conference.

Career

Television roles

He took one theater class in college, and his professor encouraged him to change his major to drama. It was during his first role in The WB's Young Americans that he met Kate Bosworth, whom he dated from 2000–02. He became better known in the role of Logan Huntzberger on the television show Gilmore Girls on The CW. Prior to this role, Czuchry had a recurring guest role on the CBS drama Hack and starred in the pilot of UPN's Jake 2.0. He also guested on Freaks and Geeks, 7th Heaven, The Practice, Veronica Mars and Friday Night Lights.
