The bull shark (Carcharhinus leucas), also known as the Zambezi shark or, unofficially, as Zambi in Africa and Nicaragua shark in Nicaragua, is a requiem shark commonly found worldwide in warm, shallow waters along coasts and in rivers. The bull shark is known for its aggressive nature, predilection for warm shallow water, and presence in brackish and freshwater systems including estuaries and rivers.
Bull sharks can thrive in both saltwater and freshwater and can travel far up rivers. They have even been known to travel as far up as the Mississippi River in Illinois, although there have been few recorded freshwater human-shark interactions. They are probably responsible for the majority of near-shore shark attacks, including many bites attributed to other species.
Unlike the river sharks of the genus Glyphis, bull sharks are not true freshwater sharks, despite their ability to survive in freshwater habitats.
The name "bull shark" comes from the shark's stocky shape, broad, flat snout, and aggressive, unpredictable behavior. In India, the bull shark may be confused with the Sundarbans or Ganges shark. In Africa, it is also commonly called the Zambezi River shark or just Zambi. Its wide range and diverse habitats result in many other local names, including Ganges River shark, Fitzroy Creek whaler, van Rooyen's shark, Lake Nicaragua shark, river shark, freshwater whaler, estuary whaler, Swan River whaler, cub shark, and shovelnose shark.
A bull is an intact (i.e., not castrated) adult male of the species Bos taurus (cattle). More muscular and aggressive than the female of the species, the cow, the bull has long been an important symbol in many cultures, and plays a significant role in both beef and dairy farming, and in a variety of other cultural activities.
The female counterpart to a bull is a cow, while a male of the species which has been castrated is a steer, ox or bullock, although in North America this last term refers to a young bull, and in Australia to a draught animal. Usage of these terms varies considerably with area and dialect. Colloquially, people unfamiliar with cattle may refer to both castrated and intact animals as "bulls".
A wild, young, unmarked bull is known as a micky in Australia. Improper or late castration on a bull results in it becoming a coarse steer, also known as a stag in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. In some countries an incompletely castrated male is known also as a rig or ridgling.
Sharks are a group of fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha (or Selachii) and are the sister group to the rays. However, the term "shark" has also been used for extinct members of the subclass Elasmobranchii outside the Selachimorpha, such as Cladoselache and Xenacanthus, as well as other Chondrichthyes such as the holocephalid eugenedontidans. Under this broader definition, the earliest known sharks date back to more than 420 million years ago.Acanthodians are often referred to as "spiny sharks"; though they are not part of Chondrichthyes proper, they are a paraphyletic assemblage leading to cartilaginous fish as a whole.
Since then, sharks have diversified into over 500 species. They range in size from the small dwarf lanternshark (Etmopterus perryi), a deep sea species of only 17 centimetres (6.7 in) in length, to the whale shark (Rhincodon typus), the largest fish in the world, which reaches approximately 12 metres (40 ft) in length. Sharks are found in all seas and are common to depths of 2,000 metres (6,600 ft). They generally do not live in freshwater although there are a few known exceptions, such as the bull shark and the river shark, which can survive and be found in both seawater and freshwater. Sharks have a covering of dermal denticles that protects their skin from damage and parasites in addition to improving their fluid dynamics. They have several sets of replaceable teeth.

Great White is an American hard rock band, formed in Los Angeles in 1977. The band gained popularity during the 1980s and early 1990s. The band released several albums in the late 1980s and gained airplay on MTV with music videos for songs like "Once Bitten, Twice Shy". The band reached their peak popularity with the album ...Twice Shy in 1989.
The band continued to release new material into the 1990s, although none of their material charted in the United States. In 2003, the band made headlines when The Station nightclub fire led to the deaths of 100 people in West Warwick, Rhode Island, including the band's guitarist Ty Longley, who had been a member of Jack Russell's solo band. In 2011 the band split, with Jack Russell forming "Great White Featuring Jack Russell" and lead singer Terry Ilous (of XYZ) fronting Great White. As of August 2007, Great White sold over 8 million records worldwide.

UNDA DA SEA — A Waco, Texas dentist is recovering from a vicious shark attack that took place while he was vacationing in the Bahamas over the weekend. Dr. Steve Cutbirth, 62, was spearfishing with his son-in-law and some local guides when he nabbed a hogfish, he wrote in a Facebook post. However, said fish was also the target of a 6-foot bull shark, which crashed into Cutbirth as he tried to surface. Cutbirth writes that the next thing he saw was the bull shark coming at him, mouth wide open and plenty of teeth showing. But where most would piss themselves, Cutbirth managed to strike the beast on the head. Down but not out, the shark came back for more, this time going for Cutbirth’s leg. Luckily he managed kick it in the head and escape to the surface. To make matters worse, there ...

Shark attack compilation: Stuart Beach in Martin County, Florida, ranks high on “most dangerous” lists thanks to well-known shark attacks. Stuart Beach last made headlines six years ago when 38-year-old kite surfer Stephen Howard Schafer suffered multiple bite wounds and died. Schafer was about 500 yards offshore when he was attacked. He had gone kite surfing later in the day. Lifeguard Daniel Lund was looking through his binoculars when he noticed something strange. Lund saw Schafer lying on his kite board’s large sail. The lifeguard’s training took over … he sprang into action. Paddling out to the kitesurfer, Lund noticed blood in the water. Schafer screamed he had been attacked by a shark. Lund pulled Schafer onto his board and paddled back as several of the predators circled. Despi...

Crocodiles (subfamily Crocodylinae) or true crocodiles are large aquatic reptiles that live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. Crocodylinae, all of whose members are considered true crocodiles, is classified as a biological subfamily. A broader sense of the term crocodile, Crocodylidae that includes Tomistoma, is not used in this article. The term crocodile here applies only to the species within the subfamily of Crocodylinae. The term is sometimes used even more loosely to include all extant members of the order Crocodilia, which includes Tomistoma, the alligators and caimans (family Alligatoridae), the gharials (family Gavialidae), and all other living and fossil Crocodylomorpha. Although they appear to be similar to the untrained eye, crocodiles, alliga...

Shark Attacks and Invades Mississippi River - World Documentaries Sharks are a group of fish defined by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are identified within the clade Selachimorpha (or Selachii) and are the sis group to the rays. The term "shark" has actually also been utilized for extinct members of the subdivision Elasmobranchii outside the Selachimorpha, such as Cladoselache and Xenacanthus. Under this broader definition, the earliest known sharks date back to more than 420 million years ago. Since after that, sharks have branched out right into over 505 species. They vary in size from the tiny dwarf lanternshark (Etmopterus perryi), a deep sea species of only 17 centimetres (...
This is the story of an incredible place where predators thrive, in particular, where the apex predators of the river meet the most powerful predators of the ocean. Kosi Bay is a beautiful estuarine system in Southern Africa. Predators of all sizes lurk throughout these varied habitats and the greatest of them all come face to face where the fresh waters of the lakes meet the sea, the crocodile and the Zambezi or bull shark.

One of the most feared predators of the sea is the shark, many species of which can strip a man to ribbons in a matter of minutes. But what prompts sharks to attack human beings, who are not their natural enemies? “The Science of Shark Attacks” is a documentary in which survivors of shark attacks share their life-and-death stories, as ichthyologists explain the attack behaviour of sharks, how to keep yourself safe in the water, and discuss attempts to cure sharks of their killer instinct. Contrary to popular belief, only a few sharks are dangerous to humans. Out of more than 470 species, only four have been involved in a significant number of fatal,...

Well, here I am from Paddy's land, a land of high renown
I've broke the hearts of all the girls for miles round Keady town
And when they hear that I'm awa' they'll raise a hullabaloo
When they hear about that handsome lad they call Jack Donahue!
Chorus:
For I'm the boy to squeeze her, and I'm the boy to tease her
I'm the boy that can please her, ach, an' I'll tell you what I'll do
I'll court her like an Irishman, wi' me brogue and blarney too is me plan
With the holligan, rolligan, swolligan, molligan bold O'Donahue!
I wish my love was a red. red rose growing on yon garden wall
And me to be a dewdrop and upon her brow I'd fall!
Perhaps now she might think of me as a rather heavy dew
And no more she'd love that handsome lad they call O'Donahue!
Chorus
Well I hear that Queen Victoria has a daughter fine and grand
Perhaps she'd take it into her head for to marry an Irishman
And if I could only get the chance to have a word or two
