Grand Prix (French pronunciation: [ɡʁɑ̃pʁi], meaning Grand Prize; plural Grands Prix) may refer to:
Sir John Young "Jackie" Stewart, OBE (born 11 June 1939) is a British former Formula One racing driver from Scotland. Nicknamed the "Flying Scot", he competed in Formula One between 1965 and 1973, winning three World Drivers' Championships, and twice runner-up, over those nine seasons. He also competed in Can-Am. In 2009 he was ranked fifth of the fifty greatest Formula One drivers of all time by journalist Kevin Eason who wrote: "He has not only emerged as a great driver, but one of the greatest figures of motor racing."
He is well known in the United States as a color commentator (pundit) of racing television broadcasts having worked in that role in the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix from 1971 to 1986. In 1976 Stewart became the play-by-play announcer for the 1976 Winter and 1976 Summer Olympics, and he served as host of the Indianapolis 500 coverage for ABC's Wide World of Sports and ABC Sports, from 1982 to 1984. He has also been a spokesman for Ford, Rolex and Moët.
Stewart is a popular Scottish first name and surname. The word Stewart is derived from an occupational surname. It originally belonged to a person who was a steward by profession. It is derived from a combination of two Old English words, the word stig, which means house, and the word weard, which means guard. The first name translation of the word is often Stuart, hence the difference in the two.
Grand may refer to:
Formula One (also Formula 1 or F1) is the highest class of single-seat auto racing that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The FIA Formula One World Championship has been the premier form of racing since the inaugural season in 1950, although other Formula One races were regularly held until 1983. The "formula", designated in the name, refers to a set of rules, to which all participants' cars must conform. The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (from French, originally meaning great prizes), held throughout the world on purpose-built F1 circuits and public roads.
The results of each race are evaluated using a points system to determine two annual World Championships, one for drivers, one for constructors. The racing drivers are required to be holders of valid Super Licences, the highest class of racing licence issued by the FIA. The races are required to be held on tracks graded 1 (formerly A), the highest grade a track can receive by the FIA. Most events are held in rural locations on purpose-built tracks, but there are several events in city centres throughout the world, with the Monaco Grand Prix being the most obvious and famous example.
Rubens Barrichello on his way to qualifying 11th, with a time of 1'33.075, for the Stewart team's first Grand Prix. In the race, he survived a desperate lunge from Giancarlo Fisichella's Jordan, and was heading for seventh place when his engine failed with nine laps to go - the harbinger of a season with promising moments spoiled by chronic unreliability. Team-mate Jan Magnussen qualified in 19th position, 1.6 seconds slower, and retired with suspension failure after 36 laps.
Jos the Boss sets a time during his first qualifying session of the 1998 season, having replaced the underperforming Jan Magnussen alongside lead driver Rubens Barrichello in the Stewart team. He set a promising time of 1:17.604 for 15th place on the grid, only one place (but almost 0.6 seconds) behind Barrichello, but had to start from the back of the grid come race time after stalling at the start (which incidentally gave the Ferrari drivers a second chance at beating the McLarens away from the line, and set up the team's first one-two finish since 1990), eventually finishing in 12th position. Verstappen did not score any points this year in a difficult second season for Stewart, but the team was impressed by his commitment and positive attitude compared to Magnussen.

This is the raw footage of the Spanish Grand Prix interview that was done on a catalan TV network. This video is very long because it shows both camera angles. Unfortunately, the 'behind Jackie' angle is not mic'ed so your going to have to turn up the volume to hear anything. The camera also likes to wander... Overall video is pretty poor and some of the other angle that does have a microphone is missing. It would be best if the original catalan broadcast was translated.

Here are the highlights of the intense race that was the 1969 edition of the British Grand Prix. The 6th race of this season saw a remarkable battle between Jackie Stewart and Jochen Rindt. Original transmission made by BBC. Main commentaries is provided by Anthony Marsh. # Not my capture #
In the 60s and early 70s it was common for Grand Prix drivers to be killed while racing, often televised for millions to see. Mechanical failure, lethal track design, fire and incompetence snuffed out dozens of young drivers. They had become almost expendable as eager young wannabes queued up at the top teams' gates waiting to take their place. This is the story of when Grand Prix was out of control. Featuring many famous drivers including three times world champion Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, twice world champion Emerson Fittipaldi and John Surtees OBE, this exciting but shocking film explores how Grand Prix drivers grew sick of their closest friends being killed and finally took control of their destiny. After much waste of life, the prestigious Belgian and German Grands Prix would be boy...

THE F1 PHOTOGRAPHER - A STEREOSCREEN PRODUCTION Rainer Schlegelmilch freezes the speed of Grand Prix racing since 1962... „Just drop by and bring your camera“. The voice booms out of the telephone. On the other end of the line it’s Rainer Schlegelmilch. We didn’t expect it to be that easy to get an appointment with one of Formula 1’s legendary photographers. For 48 years Schlegelmilch has followed the Grand Prix Circus around the globe, longer than anyone else. He started out with black and white film. Today it’s a digital camera and a Macbook. Much has changed since Jimmy Clark was racing. Natural racetracks have been replaced by architect-designed, sterile courses. Pits have morphed into surgical operation rooms. Charismatic owners have been replaced by corporate representatives of th...

Shadow Man
Miscellaneous
I'm Still A Man
So my existence you won't admit
I don't give two fuckin shits
Cause I'm still a man, bitch
I'm still a man
You see these eyes?
They'll see more than you'll ever see
I see you dyin hangin from a redwood tree
You see this hand
There's some power in these fingers
To knock you into next week, send you to the fuckin cleaners
You see this nose
I smell your blood, boilin from the stress of smokin-crack overload
You see this mouth
I can say words, I can say worlds,
I can scream till my throat beings to burn
So my existence you won't admit
I don't give two fuckin shits
Cause I'm still a man, bitch
I'm still a man, I'm a man
So my existence you won't admit
I don't give two fuckin shits
Cause I'm still a man, bitch
I'm still a man
So you all act high and mighty
Actin like your the fuckin queen, one of the Earth's highly
And that I'm a worm, somethin to be squashed down
Under your shoe until I'm too broken up to be found
I've done more than you ever will
I've seen people, places, and the whole fuckin world
I've heard things that will make your heart melt
Or make you want to melt
Because your eyes burn from cryin over
Spilled milk, it's sick work, what we do
We take a man and make him so he's under you
So he's below you, he's not one of you,
He's just a solitary figure in the underwood,
Underground, can't be found, doesn't even
Fuckin exist, he's just a speck of wasted semen
But you know what? One day I'll find you
And torment you, and destroy you, cause you know what?
I'll be your boss when you work that day
I'll be your husband who beats you with the rake
I'll be the friend that backstabs you
That leaves you gutless in the midst of your parents, siblings, and your cousins
Cause I'm above you, I'm above this, cause you know what bitch?
I'm a man, I'm a man, better get used to hearing that
So my existence you won't admit
I don't give two fuckin shits
Cause I'm still a man, bitch
I'm still a man, I'm a man
So my existence you won't admit
I don't give two fuckin shits
Cause I'm still a man, bitch
I'm still a man
Now I thought I told you, so let me show you,
Paint you a fuckin picture or two
See this muscle, the tendons, see the joints of my bones?
The organs under it that are almost fully grown?
You see the skin on me
You see the tears that I've cried, and the anger that's bubbling?
You see the happiness of what could be?
Of what will be, if everyone would just stop and see me?
You see the grief, and the strife, and the fear,
I'm a speaker, I'm a doer, I'm a seer
I'm a weapon, I'm inventin
A way to light the dark path that you're descendin
Cause you know you're going to hell,
If you check the sins you've done and you've done them so well
You gotta realize, you can't criticize
Just because I'm different doesn't mean I'm not alive
I think, I breathe, I hear, I see,
I know, I walk, I speak, I search
For a way to feel like a brother in this fucked-up perch full of motherfuckers
So if you don't see it now, if you don't feel it now
What can I do but turn away from you now
Before I do somethin I will regret
Cause you and I know deep down you're ain't even worth shit
So my existence you won't admit
I don't give two fuckin shits
Cause I'm still a man, bitch
I'm still a man
So my existence you won't admit
I don't give two fuckin shits
Cause I'm still a man, bitch
I'm still a man
