Man critical after two-on-one fight in Fremantle

A 31-year-old man is in intensive care with head injuries at Royal Perth Hospital after a street fight about 4.20am on Saturday, police say.

The man was allegedly assaulted after getting into an altercation with two others. He fell to the ground, receiving head injuries.

Fremantle Detectives are investigating but have not yet been able to speak to the man.

Five hours earlier, around 11pm, a man with a gun held up the Thirsty Camel bottle shop in Beldon, in the City of Joondalup, on the corner of Marmion Avenue and Gunter Grove.

He pointed the gun at the clerk and at customers, threatening them as they entered the store, and fled on foot with a bag of cash from the till.

The offender was described as 25-35 years old, light-skinned, 175-185 centimetres tall and had his face concealed. Police with dogs searched the area but he remains at large.

Anyone with information to help with these investigations should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
