As his fortunes plummet and the President increases pressure to invade Iraq, Lincoln naively decides to draw on his past experience in the Special Ops Forces, and travel to Iraq to rid the world of Saddam Hussein himself - and thus avert a disastrous war. Through a series of misadventures, he manages to dispose of Saddam, but that's when things get weird. Lincoln returns to the United States and is personally invited to Camp David by President George W. Bush, himself. But during a weenie roast at a Camp David campsite, George W. reveals a terrible international secret to Lincoln, something that causes him to fight for his life!

Behind The Last Days of Saddam Hussein | ENDEVR Documentary
Behind The Last Days of Saddam Hussein | Investigative Documentary from 2019
More than a decade after his death, the ghost of Saddam Hussein still haunts Iraq. His execution, which was meant to signal a new start for the Iraqi people, instead became seen as a charade of Shi’ite revenge that would push the country into civil war and lead to the formation of ISIS. But the man who would eventually become Public Enemy Number One of George Bush’s America started out as a friend and ally to the West. ‘The Last Days of Saddam Hussein’ traces the rise and fall of the implacable Iraqi dictator. We hear from his family and key members of the Bush administration, from his lawyers and supporters to analyze what really happened behind the scenes.

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who is holding a referendum on his
presidency on Sunday (15/10) has ruled Iraq for 17 years. The
58-year-old Saddam joined the Iraqi Ba'th Party in 1957, and two
years later, fled to Cairo as a poltical refugee after
participating in an attempt to assassinate President Abdul Karim
Qasim. He returned to Iraq in 1963 when the Iraqi Ba'th Party came
to power. The Ba'th Party was ousted by the Nasserites, and Saddam
was arrested in 1964 after participating in a failed coup attempt
against President Abdul Salam Aref. The Ba'th Party regained power
in 1968, and Saddam took charge of a secret security apparatus. He
eventually joined the Revolutionary Command Council, which was
Iraq's highest governing body, gradually becoming the second man
after President Ahmad Hassan el-Bakr, to whom he was related. In
the late 1970's el-Bakr became a nominal president as Saddam
became the real ruler. In July 1979, el-Bakr handed over the
presidency and party leadership to Saddam Hussein. Saddam
consolidated his grip on power by brutal repression of any real or
perceived opposition and by strengthening tribal and family
influence at the expense of the Ba'th party. In 1980, the Iraqi
army attacked Iran, and an eight-year war with Iran ensued in
which some one million Iraqis and Iranians were killed. In August
1990, Saddam Hussein's army invaded Kuwait, and a military
confrontation with the western alliance ensued in January 1991.
leading to the defeat of Iraq. Saddam has clung onto power despite
his army's defeat in the Gulf War and the international sanctions
which are still in effect against Iraq. Although no other
candidates are running against Saddam, Sunday's referendum is seen
by many observers as an attempt by the Iraqi leader to transcend
his narrow power base and show that he has wider popular support

(Part underlaid with cutaway of court official)
"I released all the people present in the hall, more than 80 persons and, I swear to God, I shook their hands one by one and I asked their pardon and after that I never went back to the Dujail or heard about it again. Nobody since then has mentioned Dujail to me all or seen any report about it. Everything was handed to the prosecutor. I would like to make some thing clear; based on what I've heard from the witnesses and the procedures of this court I have the strong belief that those testifying against me were in fact pushed or encouraged to do so."
19. Wide shot of defendants
20. Judge conferring
21. Saddam listening as chief judge Abdel-Rahman brings session to an end
STORYLINE:
Saddam Hussein's former intelligence chief, Barzan Ibrahim al Tikriti, insisted on Tuesday that he ordered the release of dozens of prisoners in Dujail.
It was Barzan's most lively defence yet on charges he was involved in torture and executions in a crackdown against Shiites following an alleged attempt on Saddam Hussein's life in the 1980s.
Saddam, Barzan and two other defendants also told the court they were on hunger strike to protest the tough stances of chief judge Raouf Abdel-Rahman.
Abdel-Rahman took over the court last month and has worked to impose order in a court where outbursts and arguments have frequently overshadowed the testimony.
Saddam said he hadn't eaten in three days, while Ibrahim said he'd been on strike for two days.
Their claims of a hunger strike could not be independently confirmed.
The defendants are being held in US detention, and US officials could not immediately be reached to comment.
The prosecution continued its attempts to prove Saddam and his seven co-defendants were directly involved in a wave of arrests and executions that followed a 1982 alleged assassination attempt against the then Iraqi leader in the Shiite village of Dujail.
