China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a sovereign state in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.35 billion. The PRC is a one-party state governed by the Communist Party, with its seat of government in the capital city of Beijing. It exercises jurisdiction over 22 provinces; five autonomous regions; four direct-controlled municipalities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Chongqing); two mostly self-governing special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macau); and claims sovereignty over Taiwan.
Covering approximately 9.6 million square kilometers, China is the world's second-largest country by land area, and either the third or fourth-largest by total area, depending on the method of measurement. China's landscape is vast and diverse, ranging from forest steppes and the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts in the arid north to subtropical forests in the wetter south. The Himalaya, Karakoram, Pamir and Tian Shan mountain ranges separate China from South and Central Asia. The Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, the third- and sixth-longest in the world, run from the Tibetan Plateau to the densely populated eastern seaboard. China's coastline along the Pacific Ocean is 14,500 kilometres (9,000 mi) long, and is bounded by the Bohai, Yellow, East and South China Seas.
Tiananmen Square is a large city square in the centre of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) located to its North, separating it from the Forbidden City. The square contains the monuments to the heroes of the revolution, the great hall of people, the National Museum of China, and the Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall (with Mao's embalmed body). Mao Zedong proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic in the square on Oct. 1, 1949, an anniversary still observed there. Tiananmen Square is within the top ten largest city squares in the world (440,500 m2 – 880×500 m or 109 acres – 960×550 yd). It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history.
Outside China, the square is best known in recent memory as the focal point of the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, a pro-democracy movement which ended on 4 June 1989 with the declaration of martial law in Beijing by the government and the shooting of several hundred, or possibly thousands, of civilians by soldiers.
Tianmen Mountain (Chinese: 天门山; pinyin: Tiānmén Shān) is a mountain located within Tianmen Mountain National Park, Zhangjiajie, in northwestern Hunan Province, China.
A cablecar was constructed by the French company Poma from nearby Zhangjiajie railway station to the top of the mountain. Tianmen Mountain Cableway is claimed in tourist publications as the "longest passenger cableway of high mountains in the world", with 98 cars and a total length of 7,455 metres (24,459 ft) and ascent of 1,279 metres (4,196 ft) The highest gradient is an unusual 37 degrees. Tourists can walk on kilometres of paths built onto the cliff face at the top of the mountain, including sections with glass floors. An 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) road with 99 bends also reaches the top of the mountain and takes visitors to Tianmen cave, a natural hole in the mountain of a height of 131.5 metres (431 ft).
A large temple is also located on the summit with chairlift or footpath access. The original temple here was built in the Tang Dynasty. Today a more recent construction with Tang dynasty architecture occupies the site and includes a vegetarian restaurant in the 10000 sq mi of setting.

Toting rifles, ten formations of goose-stepping troops marched past the Tian'anmen Rostrum on Thursday morning, rekindling the glorious past of forces led by the Communist Party of China (CPC) in defeating Japanese invaders in World War II. All the ten formations in the military parade marking the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII were named after the most famous army units of CPC-led forces in the war against Japanese aggression. The mainstay role of the CPC and its forces is the linchpin in defeating the Japanese militarism, said Gao Yongzhong, a researcher with the Party History Research Center of the CPC Central Committee, citing a conclusion first proposed by CPC wartime leader Mao Zedong.

4,700 Feet above Scarist Glass Walkway Path in Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie, China It is certainly not a path for the faint-hearted. On one side a sheer rock face, on the other a 4,000 ft drop - and all to separate the brave traveler from a deadly plunge is a 3ft-wide, 2.5in thick walkway. And if that is not enough to bring terror into the pit of your stomach, the path running alongside a Chinese mountainside is made out of glass, allowing a crystal-clear view of where one false step can take you. So it was perhaps understandable that this woman tackled the walkway by sticking as close to the cliff as possible, feeling her way along with tentative steps. The skywalk is situated 4,700 ft above sea level on the side of the Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, China. The 200ft long bridge jo...
Travel video about destination China. China’s Imperial City is located in the centre of its ancient Middle Kingdom, a gigantic and inscrutable empire beyond the Great Wall. The Imperial City is entered through the Gates of Heavenly Peace. After seven years of construction, Ming Emperor Zhu Di moved into his newly-established palace complex in which over eight thousand people lived in almost a thousand rooms. The palace served as both a residential and governmental seat to the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. A stone’s throw away from the old Summer Palace is the Garden of Harmonious Unity that was the favourite garden of the Emperor’s household who retreated to its cool lakeside shores during the humid months of summer. Top Things to do in China! I know that this is long overdue and that I haven't posted a video in a while, but seriously China!! Anyways, this list is less about the top attractions in China and more about the best ones. Moreover, it features the off the beaten path destinations in China as well. So what are the most incredible things to do in China. Here's my take: 10) Changsha and the Mao Zedong Staute (长沙和毛泽东雕像) This is crazy, in the capital of Hunan Province there's a giant statue of Mao Zedong that looks like something out of Mount Rushmore. Definitely a top thing to see in China. 9) Bifengxia Panda Base (碧峰峡大熊猫保护区) The Panda Center in Chengdu is a bit over-touristed. That's why it's a great option to head to Bifengxia on the edge of the village of Ya'an, and up to this amazing ...

Shenzhen in Guangdong Province was once one of China's fastest growing cities and is currently the headquarters of numerous high-tech companies. In this Documentary style short video we will be spending a day exploring the streets of this young city and meeting some of its people.
Toronto is Canada's largest and North America's fourth-largest city. Its multi-cultural population is spread out over the Megacity, but neighborhoods such as China Town, Greektown and Little Italy retain some of their original character. A typical "Hogtown" treat is the Peameal sandwich, available at the Saint Lawrence Market in the Old Town. The city's landmark CN Tower stands in stark contrast to another local icon: The castle-like Casa Loma. Some other famous architectural feats are the Royal Ontario Museum and the Gehry-designed Art Gallery of Ontario. Kensington Markets is an art-loving, 70s-inspired neighborhood full of shops. Upscale fashion stores surround Dundas Square, the downtown end of Yonge Street. During colder months, the city's huge underground mall, the PATH, offers hou...
In part two of my video travel guide to India I travel to Bodhgaya, one of the most sacred places in all of the Buddhist religion. It was at this location 2,500 years ago that a young Prince Siddhartha sat under a fig tree, meditated and found enlightenment, thus becoming the Buddha. I start off by visiting the many temples that have been built by various Buddhists from around the world, including temples dedicated to Buddhists living in China, Japan, Tibet and Nepal. I then visit the Tergar Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist complexes in the region, which is a short walk from the main road. I then head to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple complex in the center of town. At sunset it is a scenic, peaceful time to explore the grounds, which include a large monument built at the Bodhi Tree it...

Hong Kong has over 600 places of worship, from neighborhood temples to hilltop monasteries. Shopping is almost a religion too! From opulent malls like Pacific Place to the markets of Temple Street, tax-free Hong Kong is heaven for bargain hunters. From Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, hop aboard a Star Ferry for the crossing to Hong Kong Island. Explore the futuristic architecture of Hong Kong's main business district, Central, then take a tram to Victoria Peak. Hong Kong offers plenty of green spaces, such as Kowloon's Walled City Park. Outside the urban areas, over forty percent of the territory has been designated as ...

However, there are almost no companies that have enjoyed blockbuster success. The reasons vary, from differences in corporate cultures, market needs and systems to political issues. Left in the wake has been a vague impression of the difficulty of succeeding in China. However, gradual changes in circumstances have started taking place since the latter half of 2014. New dimensions, including liberalization of the market for home-use video game consoles and rise of Chinese- and foreign-made smartphone games, have begun appearing in the Chinese gaming business. We spent the day on Hong Kong Island, if you are not familiar with HK, it is broken up into different parts; such as Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and the New Territories. Even those areas are broken up into smaller segments. An example of that is this movie was made on HK island, and we spent most of the day in the Central district. While in Central, we went to: Statue Square, Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System, Jamia Mosque, Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, Bank of China Tower, Edward Youde Aviary, Hong Kong Park, Duddell Street Steps & Gas Lamps, One International Finance Centre, A Symphony of Lights Waterside Show, and the Temp...

China is one of the largest world powers but we can hardly put a face on it yet. Let alone have any idea of how the average Chinese man lives and works, or what his ambitions or fears are. Photographer Ruben Terlou took his camera along the banks of the River Yangtze, talking to the locals about the impact of the economic progress. In a six-episode series, we are taken from Shanghai, the most westernized part of China, to Shangri-La, the most authentic Chinese part, to discover the real China, 40 years after Mao's death. Whether it's Mahjong tournaments, acrobatics or street dance, everything happens in the central squares in the cities, and preferably with lots of people at the same time. For a talent to risk t...
[ruck whispering]
Oooh... astonishing!
[rock, (repz)]
Uh-ha! what do we have here?
Caught up in the center
(we equal emcee squared)
The square, every corner locked down
Four corners, take position, four soldiers
Every where ya turn there's one, boy
[chorus: rock, (repz)]
We be triple r rated, but we form a square
(we equal emcce squared)
Ruck and rock, representativz, ya worst nightmare
(we equal emcee squared)
Yo, when push came to shove, then I pushed and shoved
(we equal emcee squared)
Slugs in that nigga's mouth, when he show us no love
(we equal emcee squared)
[supreme]
Check it, styles surrounds to pound emcee's
Testin we, gets grooved in three
As in the triple r, my troups get biz by far
Supreme steams through ya team and leaves scars
We formed the square, now there's nowhere to turn to
Burn through crews wit troups that's nocturnal
Writin my journal, my first mission
Shittin on these faggot emcees, this industry's in submission
[rock]
Yo, who's the square there squared wit the back bender?
I beat blood out of ya number one contender
The representativz are, sent to ya drama
While I sneak up behind ya to put space in ya back like a comma
Time to battle, escape? how? trapped in four corners
Plus the walls or closin in on ya
Like that karate instructor in that bart simpson commercial
I hurt ya, by droppin bombs, god's universal
[lidu rock]
Niggaz be actin sweet like ladies and if they try and play me
Lidu rock will come through at wet ya block like the navy
Display mine, on point, god, the square keep
Label me as the nigga that smoked the grym reaper
Undercover like a campian wearin sneakers
Great ya wit a boot to ya face, then see ya
Off out on the range, beware of my terrain
Four levels of pain, you got caught, so who's to blame?
[ruck]
Man the battle station, as I plan to rattle a nation
Rock, lidu rock and supreme, the team you be facin
My mind's place in, between a rock and a hard place
But the god's safe, rocks my man in the heart place and y'all gay
We triple r, cripple y'all, get ya crutches
Sparsky and dutch is, rockin mad domes, causin ruckus
Who give a fuck if ya nice, ya get mangled and mashed
Like dope fiends dyin off a ten, goin hash
[chorus]
[lidu rock]
We be triple r rated, but we form a square
Tranform like decept's into a cubic shape and dare
Anyone to test this, I done roll wit the best fish
That sam wit the sharks, against crews that mad me restless
I bet this, here energy, you'll blow the vencinity
And blast motha fuckas who approach me like the enemy
I'm simply holdin my angle down, jack
So if ya self-defence is war, then I suggest you attack
[ruck]
Aiyyo, we equal emcee squared, dare tempt me
Empty shells, now ya layin where playas and pimps be
On microphones wit hyper tones
That's when I swipe ya bones wit knife and chromes
See, I'm r rated, pa' hated when I made it
In ya rap game, 'cause ya plane's been invaded
I laced it like sneakers and funny cigarettes
Niggaz get wet from flows they ass couldn't figure yet
[supreme]
Make way for the bum rush, niggaz get touched
Ya think ya tough, bring in the drama, if ya crew's rough
What? for motha fucks up in ya visual
Deliver blows to foes in my peripheral
My ill subliminal attack pety individuals
Tired of cliches, these days who come original?
Like criminals, and you get bust and such
Test my triple r rated and get crushed to dust
[rock]
Yo, we blew through the door, I said it before
You asked for it, who want beef? while here's war!
We two emcee's squared, equal four rated triple r
Leave you pretty boy playas scared, trapped in cars
When will you pirahnas learn?
Bitin my shit, larry, you fish burn
Here in the square, where you runnin, g?
You rather be trapped in a lion's den wit pork chop draws, then front on me
[chorus x2]
[rock]
Make way...
