Nearly 90 percent of men & women globally hold some sort of bias against women, reveals United Nations Development Programme - UNDP's latest Gender Social Norms Index (GSNI) launched on 5 March ahead of 2020 International #WomensDay. The GNSI show vast gender power gaps that still exist in economies, political systems, & corporations worldwide. Progress towards #GenderEquality is slowing down and is not happening at the speed and scale we need to achieve the #SDGs, it warns. Women make up half the world’s population and must have an equal say in all decisions that affect people’s lives. Despite progress in closing the #gendergap in areas like health and education, politics remains overwhelmingly the domain of men. Globally, not even a quarter of all elected politicians are women. This International Women's Day, let's join #GenerationEquality in realising women's rights for an #EqualFuture. #IWD2020
