Party Colour Gee, I love a palette. Not only are these little beauties works of art, they have serious party cred.
They're high in pigment, so lots of colour pay-off (start out light and build the intensity) with the eye and face palettes, while the soft, glowing hues of the luminising compact can be worn anywhere (we love it on eyes and cheekbones)

We love matchy-matchy nails this festive season, and this is the perfect duco-inspired party polish. The dense, rich shade of gloriously glitzy ruby is a standout, its metallic bling the perfect foil for an artfully placed cocktail ring. We love that it's non-chip, too. Ask Stephanie
In what order should you apply beauty products?
The simple rule for skincare: start with the finest consistency product and build up. So begin with a serum, moisturiser, then sunscreen. With makeup, start with a primer, followed by foundation/BB cream, then concealer, highlighter, blush, brows, eye primer, eye make-up and, finally, lipstick.
Road test
This week I try … some hair rehab
The lowdown I have embraced my mink-blonde locks, but the colouring process is pretty tough on my hair. To target my enfeebled follicles, I'm with my mane colour man, Damien Rayner, for an in-salon Olaplex treatment.
First, my hair is washed with Kerastase Nutritive Shampoo to help boost hydration levels. Th e hair-bond-reforming Olaplex treatment is next applied to my mid-lengths and ends before my hair is wrapped in a heated towel for 10 minutes. Next comes the Kerastase Nutritive Mask and soothing massage. The finishing touch is an O&M Cør glossing treatment to revive my tired colour and remove any brassy tones.
Downtime One hour, including a blow-dry.
Pain factor Zero. This is an hour of pampering right from the get-go.
Results My hair is a whole lot happier: it feels less parched and looks much smoother, even after I've slept on it.
Where to get it Sydney: Hair by PHD, hairbyphd. com.au. Cost: $165 (includes a takehome Olaplex product). Melbourne: Rokk Ebony, rokkebony.com.au. Cost: from $165.
At home Apply a dollop of Olaplex Hair Perfector Number 3, $50, adorebeauty. com.au, once a week on damp hair from mid-lengths to ends. Leave on for 10 minutes, then wash as normal.
