(en) Britain, MEDIA, Class War calling to "wreak havoc and mayhem"

Date Wed, 10 Jan 2018 08:24:07 +0200

Class War activists are calling on followers to "wreak havoc and mayhem" following calls by Windsor and Maidenhead council leader Simon Dudley for the town to be cleared of homeless people before the big day. ---- The group's founder Ian Bone warned on Facebook of a "Battle of Windsor" on May 19. ---- And in a bizarre twist, Bone last night claimed that Meghan Markle's sister-in-law Darlene Blount is to speak at Class War's rally in Windsor. ---- Blount, 37, was arrested on New Year's Day at the Oregon home she shares with Meghan's half-brother Tom Markle Jnr after being accused of hitting her fiancé. ---- Anarchists have called for individuals to 'cause havoc and mayhem' in Windsor for the royal wedding Now is the time for every anarchist to get down to Eton and cause havoc and mayhem on May 19 ---- Ian Bone"

Mr Bone said: "Eighty of our class are murdered at Grenfell. Seven months later not one member of the council even asked about it by police. At the same time the rich flaunt their money by partying within Grenfell's shadow.

"Now a royal wedding leads to demands for social cleansing at Windsor by the council leader - to remove the homeless from view."

"To improve the view for the rich, like the prettification of the Grenfell cladding."

The anarchist even compiled a poem in which he threatened: "Hark Hark! We're all coming down to Windsor to throw some things at you, but no it ain't confetti, so let the blood run blue. We hear the ringing bells, we'd rather wring your necks. We burned down Hampton Court, now Windsor Castle's next."

He later added: "Now is the time for every anarchist to get down to Eton and cause havoc and mayhem on May 19."

Mr Dudley had written to police seeking action against "aggressive begging and intimidation".

He said: "Tourist interest is set to multiply and there are concerns from residents about safety. The situation presents a beautiful town in an unfavourable light."

A police spokesman said: "Everyone has a right to express their views peacefully. Criminals looking to disrupt the event will be dealt with in a robust, yet proportionate manner."
