Obviously due in large part to the talent of the decorated punk rock veterans that make up this outfit, The Old Firm Casuals have become a staple in their own right, and tour-by-tour have become a crowd favorite all over the world; writing a slew of incredible records along the way. Their live show is as energetic and exciting as they get, and the tunes are timeless and just seem to get better and better.

Originally released in 2004 on Hellcat Records, “Viking” was the followup to the (S/T) debut album that brought this Rancid side-project into the limelight. Written by Lars and Tim Armstrong, and mixed by Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion), this album received an overwhelmingly great response from critics and fans alike. Along with a handful of tracks about Campbell, CA and a couple of covers (Shakin’ Stevens / Anti-Nowhere League) “Viking” focused on a more recent period in Lars’ life, and an array of topics that people have come to expect from this prolific song writing duo. A slew of friends and fellow musicians contributed to this record, and the result is powerful and passionate, on all fronts.
This pressing is on 180gram virgin vinyl, and includes an exclusive foil art print insert, lyric sleeve and high gloss cover; and the limited mailorder-exclusive 300 unit “smoke” version is bound to disappear quickly!

RE-ISSUE OF THE DEBUT LP!
Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards was formed after Lars' friend and bandmate in Rancid, Tim Armstrong suggested writing songs about growing up in Campbell, California. The band was then put together as an outlet to release these songs, as well as covers of Billy Bragg's "To Have and to Have Not", Holland-Dozier-Holland's "Leaving Here" (which was also covered by Motörhead).
Originally released in 2001, this self-titled critically acclaimed album is hailed as a true ‘classic’ by swarms of Rancid fans worldwide. Long out of print, it has become a very difficult record to find, so re-issuing this album is important to make sure that any fan can find a copy - and what better than to throw a few extra bells and whistles on there, giving everyone even more of a reason to pick one up.
