Danny Coleman 1946 - 2017

 

Avid team roper, great husband and father. Friend to many. One of the founding fathers of team roping in Louisiana. 

Danny was a lifelong resident of Pollock and member of the First Baptist Church. He attended Northwestern State University after high school. He owned land clearing, dozer and dirt work business for over 45 years. He loved cattle, horses, team roping and being a cowboy. 

He fought a hard battle with ALS but always had a smile on his face. He was respected and loved by all. Danny always had strong family values with the upmost integrity and character. He will will be dearly missed, but his memory will be cherished forever.

Survived by his wife of 39 years, Diane Coleman: mother, Betty ColemanBordelon and husband Nelson: daughters Tonya Coleman McGuire and Veronica Coleman: step-son, Thomas Johnson: sister Barbara Davis and husband, Raymond: and grandchildren, Victoria Johnson, Trusten Holy, Maylee McGuire and Kale McGuire: and a host of family members and friends.
