Goldman Sachs Tower (30 Hudson Street) is a Goldman Sachs office tower in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is the tallest building in New Jersey, and the tallest in the United States that is not in its metropolitan area's largest city. The tower has 42 floors and is 238 m (781 feet) tall.
The tower was designed by Cesar Pelli, who also designed the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, One Canada Square in London and the Key Tower in Cleveland. The World Financial Center located just across the Hudson river was also designed by him. The tower, except for the black roof, resembles 1IFC, and to a lesser extent, 2IFC, two buildings of the IFC complex he designed in Hong Kong.
Completed in 2004, 30 Hudson Street is ranked at number 54 on the list of tallest buildings in the United States. It houses offices, a cafeteria, health unit and full service fitness facility including a physical therapy clinic. The property is managed by Grubb & Ellis Property Management. Provident Bank of New Jersey and Così (restaurant) are also located on the ground level, and open to the general public. The building is easily accessible by the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail at the Essex Street and Exchange Place stops.
The Goldman Sachs Tower is in Jersey City's Exchange Place area close to a PATH station about 200 yards (180 m) north and sits immediately on the waterfront overlooking the Hudson River and Lower Manhattan. The tower is easily visible from the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn , Manhattan and Staten Island. On a clear day, the building may be visible from as far away as Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.
Originally the tower was meant to be the centerpiece of an entire Goldman Sachs campus at Exchange Place, which was to include a training center, a university, and a large hotel complex. Many of the company's Manhattan-based equity traders refused to move away from Wall Street, delaying the occupation of the building's top 13 floors, which had remained vacant until early 2008.
Once a derelict and mostly industrial part of Jersey City, the Exchange Place area forms part of New Jersey's Gold Coast, a revitalized strip of land along the formerly industrial west bank of the Hudson. Economic development in the 2000s spurred large-scale residential, commercial, and office development along the waterfront.
Although the location was largely rejected by the company's financial executives, 4,000 Goldman Sachs employees made the move to the building, including much of the company's real estate, technology, operations, and administrative departments. The company completed construction of another tower in 2010 at 200 West St. to house the bulk of their sales and trading departments just north of the World Financial Center, directly across the water from 30 Hudson in Lower Manhattan. The company plans to shuttle workers between the two buildings on private ferries when necessary, calling this their "Venice strategy".
The building is certified under LEED-NC Version 2.0 of the U.S. Green Building Council.

The skyscraper was designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, with Adamson Associates Architects, and was erected at the cost of $2.1 billion. The building received a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification.
Features
The building features an environmentally friendly raised floor underfloor air system. Conditioned air for the occupants is provided by multiple environmental air towers located in the tenant space that deliver 62 °F (17 °C) air into a raised access floor plenum. This underfloor air system provides users with the ability to control their own space temperature as well as improving the ventilation effectiveness. When building churn occurs, workstation moves can be performed more easily with lower cost and less product waste.

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is an American multinational investment banking firm that engages in global investment banking, securities, investment management, and other financial services primarily with institutional clients.
Goldman Sachs was founded in 1869 and is headquartered at 200 West Street in the Lower Manhattan area of New York City, with additional offices in international financial centers. The firm provides mergers and acquisitions advice, underwriting services, asset management, and prime brokerage to its clients, which include corporations, governments and individuals. The firm also engages in market making and private equity deals, and is a primary dealer in the United States Treasury security market.

West Side Highway
The West Side Highway (officially the Joe DiMaggio Highway) is a mostly surface section of New York State Route 9A (NY 9A) that runs from West 72nd Street along the Hudson River to the southern tip of Manhattan in New York City. It replaced the West Side Elevated Highway, built between 1929 and 1951, which was shut down in 1973 due to neglect and lack of maintenance, and was dismantled by 1989. The term "West Side Highway" is often mistakenly used, particularly by the news media traffic reporters, to include the roadway north of 72nd Street which is properly known as the Henry Hudson Parkway.
The current highway was complete by 2001, but required some reconstruction due to damage sustained in the 9/11 attacks. It uses the surface streets that existed before the elevated highway was built: West Street, Eleventh Avenue and Twelfth Avenue. A short section of 12th Avenue still runs between 125th and 138th Streets, under the Riverside Drive Viaduct. Eleventh Avenue is a separate street north of 22nd Street. The portion between West 42nd Street and Canal Street is part of the Lincoln Highway.

Goldman Sachs Tower (30 Hudson Street) is a Goldman Sachs office tower in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is the tallest building in New Jersey, and the tallest in the United States that is not in its metropolitan area's largest city. The tower has 42 floors and is 238 m (781 feet) tall.
The tower was designed by Cesar Pelli, who also designed the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, One Canada Square in London and the Key Tower in Cleveland. The World Financial Center located just across the Hudson river was also designed by him. The tower, except for the black roof, resembles 1IFC, and to a lesser extent, 2IFC, two buildings of the IFC complex he designed in Hong Kong.
Completed in 2004, 30 Hudson Street is ranked at number 54 on the list of tallest buildings in the United States. It houses offices, a cafeteria, health unit and full service fitness facility including a physical therapy clinic. The property is managed by Grubb & Ellis Property Management. Provident Bank of New Jersey and Così (restaurant) are also located on the ground level, and open to the general public. The building is easily accessible by the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail at the Essex Street and Exchange Place stops.
The Goldman Sachs Tower is in Jersey City's Exchange Place area close to a PATH station about 200 yards (180 m) north and sits immediately on the waterfront overlooking the Hudson River and Lower Manhattan. The tower is easily visible from the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn , Manhattan and Staten Island. On a clear day, the building may be visible from as far away as Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.
Originally the tower was meant to be the centerpiece of an entire Goldman Sachs campus at Exchange Place, which was to include a training center, a university, and a large hotel complex. Many of the company's Manhattan-based equity traders refused to move away from Wall Street, delaying the occupation of the building's top 13 floors, which had remained vacant until early 2008.
Once a derelict and mostly industrial part of Jersey City, the Exchange Place area forms part of New Jersey's Gold Coast, a revitalized strip of land along the formerly industrial west bank of the Hudson. Economic development in the 2000s spurred large-scale residential, commercial, and office development along the waterfront.
Although the location was largely rejected by the company's financial executives, 4,000 Goldman Sachs employees made the move to the building, including much of the company's real estate, technology, operations, and administrative departments. The company completed construction of another tower in 2010 at 200 West St. to house the bulk of their sales and trading departments just north of the World Financial Center, directly across the water from 30 Hudson in Lower Manhattan. The company plans to shuttle workers between the two buildings on private ferries when necessary, calling this their "Venice strategy".
The building is certified under LEED-NC Version 2.0 of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Goldman Sachs Tower (30 Hudson Street) is a Goldman Sachs office tower in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is the tallest building in New Jersey, and the tallest in the United States that is not in its metropolitan area's largest city. The tower has 42 floors and is 238 m (781 feet) tall.
The tower was designed by Cesar Pelli, who also designed the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, One Canada Square in London and the Key Tower in Cleveland. The World Financial Center located just across the Hudson river was also designed by him. The tower, except for the black roof, resembles 1IFC, and to a lesser extent, 2IFC, two buildings of the IFC complex he designed in Hong Kong.
Completed in 2004, 30 Hudson Street is ranked at number 54 on the list of tallest buildings in the United States. It houses offices, a cafeteria, health unit and full service fitness facility including a physical therapy clinic. The property is managed by Grubb & Ellis Property Management. Provident Bank of New Jersey and Così (restaurant) are also located on the ground level, and open to the general public. The building is easily accessible by the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail at the Essex Street and Exchange Place stops.

The tower is easily visible from the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn , Manhattan and Staten Island. On a clear day, the building may be visible from as far away as Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey.
Originally the tower was meant to be the centerpiece of an entire Goldman Sachs campus at Exchange Place, which was to include a training center, a university, and a large hotel complex. Many of the company's Manhattan-based equity traders refused to move away from Wall Street, delaying the occupation of the building's top 13 floors, which had remained vacant until early 2008.
Once a derelict and mostly industrial part of Jersey City, the Exchange Place area forms part of New Jersey's Gold Coast, a revitalized strip of land along the formerly industrial west bank of the Hudson. Economic development in the 2000s spurred large-scale residential, commercial, and office development along the waterfront.
Although the location was largely rejected by the company's financial executives, 4,000 Goldman Sachs employees made the move to the building, including much of the company's real estate, technology, operations, and administrative departments. The company completed construction of another tower in 2010 at 200 West St. to house the bulk of their sales and trading departments just north of the World Financial Center, directly across the water from 30 Hudson in Lower Manhattan. The company plans to shuttle workers between the two buildings on private ferries when necessary, calling this their "Venice strategy".
The building is certified under LEED-NC Version 2.0 of the U.S. Green Building Council.

In this travel video travel guide to Malaysia, I travel to Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur, and to Terangganu, the country's second-largest city.
I start off my trip by exploring Kenyir Lake, located just west of Terangganu, which is actually the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia (it's the size of Singapore). I head to the far end of the lake by speedboat to go trekking into the hilly jungle where I come across a school of hungry fish waiting for eager tourists like myself to provide them with a cheap snack. I then head back on the lake to explore the many islands that call this lake home.
Next, I head back onto the water -- this time onto the ocean -- to do a little squid jigging as part of the first annual Terengganu International Squid Jigging Fest. Squid jigging, for those of you that don't know, is the act of fishing for squid by hand with a line and hook, something I have questionable skill doing.
Back onto dry land, I explore the market in Terangganu, one of the best places to find fresh seafood in the entire country, and try some of the region's favorite desserts and iced coffee.
For the second half of the video, I head east to the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, where I -- what else? -- find some street food in the famous Chow Kit neighborhood, followed by a little more food in Kampung Baru, a sleeping Malay enclave flanked by the city's downtown tower.
I then take the monorail (!) to explore the Petronas Towers and the KL Tower, two of the city's most famous landmarks, followed by dinner in Jalan Alor, the city's famed outdoor street food district.
Finally, it's time for a little rest and relaxation back on the west coast of Malaysia at the island of Redang, one of the country's most beautiful tropical islands, where I get to experience what beach life is like in Malaysia.

Darjeeling, India, is located in the very Northern part of the West Bengal state. Coming from Kolkata, it's hard to believe that Darjeeling is actually in the same state, it's such a vastly different place.
In order to get to Darjeeling, India, it's easiest to take the train to the nearest station which is located at New Jalpaiguri (known just as NJP by the train code). There's little to do in NJP, but from right outside the train station you can then board to a shared jeep and for 200 Rupees, you can take the jeep straight to Darjeeling. The jeep normally takes about 4 hours to reach the town and they will often stop for a few bathroom and snack breaks. The ride to Darjeeling is very windy and very uphill into the mountains, so if you get sick easily, be sure to take motion sickness medication. You will have some amazing views on the road!
Darjeeling, India, is an old hill station that offers beautiful views of the Himalayas. It's a small town and unlike other huge Indian cities, it's much quieter, peaceful, and it's a very nice place to just explore on foot (though not all the attractions are accessible on foot). So after arriving in Darjeeling, I first set off to explore the Chowrasta Square, which is a non-vehicle area with shops restaurants and cafes. There are also many trails leading from the square to other parts of the town. I explored a few of the footpaths leading in various directions to discover Buddhist Tibetan temples and other residential areas.
Probably the most famous thing about Darjeeling, India, is its production of tea; It's one of the most famous places in the world for tea. The climate, elevation, and rich Himalayan soil make it prime growing conditions. Surrounding Darjeeling you'll have a chance to see rolling tea fields and if you have time you can even visit a tea farm such as Happy Valley. Don't forget to buy plenty of tea in Darjeeling before you depart.
At the top of the main hill in Darjeeling is the Mahakal Temple, one of the most famous Hindu / Buddhist temples in the city. The temple is fully decorated by Tibetan colorful flags and there are lots and lots of monkeys, that can at times be aggressive. You can also walk around the area and explore the cave. Just be careful of the scammers in this area that try to ask you for donations. Another one of the most famous attractions in Darjeeling, India, is the Darjeeling Himalayan railroad which is better known as the Toy Train. It's an old locomotive train that runs of burning coal. You can go to the railroad station and purchase tickets daily for the joy ride, which is a 1.5 hour circuit that takes you on a leisurely ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom, the highest elevation railroad station in all of India. The railroad is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center is a center for Tibetan refugees where you'll find handicrafts and other things to purchase. When I went it was quite quiet and there actually wasn't much to do there. Other really popular attractions in Darjeeling, India, include the Himalayan Zoo and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, which are located on the same compound and accessed with the same entrance ticket fee. The zoo was interesting and included a snow leopard and lots of red pandas. The mountaineering institute is a museum that houses many artifacts from Himalayan mountain climbing expeditions.
While many choose to wake up and go to Tiger Hill for the sunrise of the beautiful Himalayan mountain range, I was so cold that I didn't wake up and just stayed on the balcony of my hotel to view the gorgeous sunrise over the mountains. Darjeeling, India, is a beautiful little town and you'll have a great and relaxing time when you travel there!

From here, wander down Stuart Street to New Zealand’s most photographed building, Dunedin Railway Station. Just up the tracks, venture back in time at the Toitū Otago Settlers Museum, while just across town is the Otago Museum.
Retracing centuries of history can be thirsty work, so combine a little learning with leisure, at Speight’s Brewery, which has been serving up the Pride of the South since 1876. Then stretch your legs on St Clair Beach, a popular summertime hangout for generations of Dunedinites.
Rent a car and head into the peninsula’s hills to Larnach Castle. Further up the peninsula is the Ōtākou Marae, the hub of Ngāi Tahu cultural life. The peninsula comes to an end at Taiaroa Head, home to the world’s only mainland albatross breeding colony.
In Dunedin’s North, visit rare Yellow Eyed Penguins at Shag Point. Then just up the road at Hampden, marvel at the mysterious Moeraki Boulders. At the historic port town of Omaru, Victorian warehouses have become places where imaginations run free, earning the town the title of The Steampunk Capital of the World.
If it’s total isolation you’re yearning for, turn southward to the sparsely-populated Catlins Coast, and for even more adventures, head west into the rugged interior of Central Otago.

When I was in Dubai, I had the privilege of hanging out and eating with my friend Peyman (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu2SDLtoqPZlZYgbyMI5c2A). He’s from Dubai, he loves to eat, and he knows some of the best food spots in Dubai. So in this Dubai food tour, we went around and ate Emirati food, rice and lamb, street food, karak tea, and finally ended with home cooked Emirati food at Peyman’s home.
One thing I want to quickly mention, and Peyman and I discussed this in the video as well, is that Emirati food at restaurants is still not very common in Dubai. This is because there are so many international restaurants in Dubai, and local Emiratis typically just eat their food at home. But things are changing and there is starting to be a higher demand for Emirati food in Dubai.
Al Fanar Restaurant - One of the only full Emirati food restaurants in Dubai. We ordered Luqaimat, Tharid, Madrooba, Balaleet. All the food was fantastic, and it’s a nice environment.
Total price - 280 AED ($76.21)
Karak - 0.50 AED ($0.14) per cup - This is originally adapted from India, but it’s a full part of the culture in UAE, and you can get cups of karak tea right to your car.
Al Marhabani Restaurant - Mandi is one of the greatest Arabian food dishes, originally from Yemen. It includes rice and meat that’s traditionally cooked in an underground oven. The lamb here was outstanding.
Total price - 200 AED ($54.44)
Al Labeeb Grocery - Regag bread - This is a little gem of a shop that Peyman took me to. They make some Dubai street food style crepes with cheese and fish sauce, and it’s awesome.
Price - 6 AED ($1.63) each
Machboos - Finally at Peyman’s house for dinner, he cooked machboos, one of the national dishes of UAE. It was a great way to end this Dubai food tour!

The following is a list of things to do in Israel with a focus on the top attractions in this travel guide:
1) Regardless of whether you can swim (or not swim) well you will most certainly float when visiting the Dead Sea. Covering yourself in gooey mud and joining others floating is one of the top attractions in Israel.
2) No trip to Israel would be complete without sampling the local cuisine and especially the street food. With this in mind we walked all the way from our hotel room in Tel Aviv to Jaffa - an ancient city renowned for its amazing hummus and other street food. Aside from just hummus we were able to try Shaksouka, cheese stuffed pastries, malabi and kanafeh.
3) Having the opportunity to take a tour of the West Bank (or Palestine) is an eye opening experience. Media coverage, from the perspective of the west, often depicts this area as being quite unruly and poor; however, a tour there really dispels a lot of myths. We had the opportunity to eat falafel, walking around the streets and get a real sense of what life is like in this region. Some highlights included visiting Sheppard's Field, the Jordan River and oldest city in the world - Jericho. To end our trip we drank beer at the West Bank Palestinian brewery.
4) Getting off the beaten track a little we visited Rosh Hanikra. Known as the window to the Mediterranean we were treated to breathtaking views and an amazing sunset.
5) Aside from just eating our way around Jaffa, we took the time to properly explore it on foot. One of the top highlights was visiting a traditional flea market,
6) Taking the cable car up to visit Masada was a welcome relief considering how hot it was on the day we visited. As we wandered about we visited an old water cistern and Byzantine church.
7) Caesarea! The ruins of the ancient city once given from Agus Caesar to Harrod the Great was an experience we'll never forget. Walking around in the Hippodrome allowed me to visualize what the old chariot races must have been like.
8) One of my favorite meals in Israel was prepared by a Druze family. This amazing feast, in the form of a buffet, featured kebabs, olives, chicken and stuffed cabbage just to name a few.

When you think of traveling to Israel visiting religious sites in Jerusalem or basing yourself in Tel Aviv may initially come to mind. However, when exploring Israel it is paramount to set aside enough time to get off the beaten path and explore more of the country. Fortunately, for us, we were able to make two separate trips to Israel experiencing as much food, culture, historical and modern attractions as we possibly could.

The following is a list of things to do in Israel with a focus on the top attractions in this travel guide:
1) Regardless of whether you can swim (or not swim) well you will most certainly float when visiting the Dead Sea. Covering yourself in gooey mud and joining others floating is one of the top attractions in Israel.
2) No trip to Israel would be complete without sampling the local cuisine and especially the street food. With this in mind we walked all the way from our hotel room in Tel Aviv to Jaffa - an ancient city renowned for its amazing hummus and other street food. Aside from just hummus we were able to try Shaksouka, cheese stuffed pastries, malabi and kanafeh.
3) Having the opportunity to take a tour of the West Bank (or Palestine) is an eye opening experience. Media coverage, from the perspective of the west, often depicts this area as being quite unruly and poor; however, a tour there really dispels a lot of myths. We had the opportunity to eat falafel, walking around the streets and get a real sense of what life is like in this region. Some highlights included visiting Sheppard's Field, the Jordan River and oldest city in the world - Jericho. To end our trip we drank beer at the West Bank Palestinian brewery.
4) Getting off the beaten track a little we visited Rosh Hanikra. Known as the window to the Mediterranean we were treated to breathtaking views and an amazing sunset.
5) Aside from just eating our way around Jaffa, we took the time to properly explore it on foot. One of the top highlights was visiting a traditional flea market,
6) Taking the cable car up to visit Masada was a welcome relief considering how hot it was on the day we visited. As we wandered about we visited an old water cistern and Byzantine church.
7) Caesarea! The ruins of the ancient city once given from Agus Caesar to Harrod the Great was an experience we'll never forget. Walking around in the Hippodrome allowed me to visualize what the old chariot races must have been like.
8) One of my favorite meals in Israel was prepared by a Druze family. This amazing feast, in the form of a buffet, featured kebabs, olives, chicken and stuffed cabbage just to name a few.
