An military airbase (sometimes referred to as a military airfield, military airport, air force station, air force base or short airbase) is an aerodrome used by a military force for the operation of military aircraft.
An airbase typically has some facilities similar to a civilian airport—for example air traffic control and firefighting. Some military aerodromes have passenger facilities; for example RAF Brize Norton in England has a terminal used by passengers for the Royal Air Force's flights by TriStar to the Falkland Islands. A number of military airbases also have a civil enclave for commercial passenger flights, e.g. Beijing Nanyuan Airport (China), Ibaraki Airport (Japan), Burlington International Airport (USA).
Some airbases have revetments, hardened aircraft shelters, or even underground hangars, to protect aircraft from enemy attack. Combat aircraft require storage of aircraft ordnance. An airbase may be defended by anti-aircraft weapons and force protection troops.
In baseball, a force is a situation when a baserunner is compelled (or forced) to vacate his time-of-pitch base—and thus try to advance to the next base—because the batter became a runner. A runner at first base is always forced to attempt to advance to second base when the batter becomes a runner. Runners at second or third base are forced only when all bases preceding their time-of-pitch base are occupied by other baserunners and the batter becomes a runner.
A forced runner's force base is the next base beyond his time-of-pitch base. Any attempt by fielders to put a forced runner out is called a force play. Think of forced runners as bumper cars. If with a runner on first, the batter hits a ground ball, the batter must run to first, and since two runners are not allowed to stay on one base at one time, the runner who was on first to begin with is now bumper-carred by the advancing batter over to second. If there already was a runner on second as well, that runner is now bumper-carred over to third, and so on. If a runner is bumper-carred over to the next base by the advancing batter or by another runner who was bumper-carred by the advancing batter, then that runner is considered to have been forced to advance to the next base. If, however, with a runner on third, for example, the batter hits a ground ball, the batter must run to first, but the runner on third, not having been bumper-carred by the batter, is not forced to advance and can stay where he is if he elects to.
Tinker Air Force Base (IATA: TIK, ICAO: KTIK, FAA LID: TIK) is a major United States Air Force base, with tenant U.S. Navy and other Department of Defense missions, located geographically in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The base, originally known as Midwest Air Depot, is named in honor of Oklahoma native Major General Clarence L. Tinker, the first Native American Major General.
Tinker is the headquarters of the Air Force Materiel Command's (AFMC) Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC), which is the worldwide manager for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles, software and avionics and accessories components. The commander of OC-ALC is Lieutenant General Bruce A. Litchfield. The host unit at Tinker is the 72d Air Base Wing (72 ABW) which provides services and support for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center and its tenant organizations. The Wing and Installation Commander of Tinker Air Force Base is Col. Christopher Azzano.
Tinker AFB is home to major Department of Defense, Air Force and Navy units with national defense missions.
An air force, also known in some countries as an air army, is in the broadest sense, the national military organization that primarily conducts aerial warfare. More specifically, it is the branch of a nation's armed services that is responsible for aerial warfare as distinct from an army, navy, or a marine corps. Typically, air forces are responsible for gaining control of the air, carrying out strategic and tactical bombing missions, and providing support to land and naval forces.
The term "air force" may also refer to a tactical air force or numbered air force, which is an operational formation either within a national air force or comprising several air components from allied nations. Air forces typically consist of a combination of fighters, bombers, helicopters, transport planes and other aircraft.
Many air forces are also responsible for operations of the military space, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), and communications equipment. Some air forces may command and control other air defence assets such as anti-aircraft artillery, surface-to-air missiles, or anti-ballistic missile warning networks and defensive systems. Some nations, principally Russia, the former Soviet Union and countries who modelled their militaries along Soviet lines, have an air defence force which is organizationally separate from their air force.
In physics, a force is any interaction that, when unopposed, will change the motion of an object. In other words, a force can cause an object with mass to change its velocity (which includes to begin moving from a state of rest), i.e., to accelerate. Force can also be described by intuitive concepts such as a push or a pull. A force has both magnitude and direction, making it a vector quantity. It is measured in the SI unit of newtons and represented by the symbol F.
The original form of Newton's second law states that the net force acting upon an object is equal to the rate at which its momentum changes with time. If the mass of the object is constant, this law implies that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on the object, is in the direction of the net force, and is inversely proportional to the mass of the object
Related concepts to force include: thrust, which increases the velocity of an object; drag, which decreases the velocity of an object; and torque, which produces changes in rotational speed of an object. In an extended body, each part usually applies forces on the adjacent parts; the distribution of such forces through the body is the so-called mechanical stress. Pressure is a simple type of stress. Stress usually causes deformation of solid materials, or flow in fluids.

A great video of US Air Force Early Warning Radar Aircraft. Nearly 150 Airmen from the 513th Air Control Group and 552nd Air Control Wing deployed July 17 from Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, to the Hawaiian Islands to participate in the world’s largest maritime exercise. Rim of the Pacific 2016, or RIMPAC, has grown to involve 26 nations, more than 40 ships and submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel. It involves forces in and around the Hawaiian Islands as well as Southern California. While Tinker-based Airborne Warning and Control System Airmen have supported RIMPAC before, this year marks the first time active-duty and reserve crews have worked together to provide consistent AWACS support to the exercise. “We’ve accomplished some fantastic total force integration t...

This video report discusses the Jade Helm Training exercise and the map shown to us in the Jade Helm Training Exercise PDF, that I feel is significant in many ways. This document will show its importance to us, as we prepare for the upcoming Jade Helm event. It is serious conspiratorial material worthy of consideration, and is provided with limited code discussion. It is the many conspiratorial elements of Jade Helm, that I will discuss and in doing so, it is only so others can be informed and be prepared for what may happen in the coming days should the Jade Helm exercise turn into a turning point, martial law event. This material is for the serious conspiracy types and will be most appreciated by those that can see the many connections to other events, that such the Jade Helm Trai...
Oklahoma City rail transit advocates voice concern to COTPA, Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority Board of Directors at their July 12, 2013 Board Meeting, regarding a private parking garage proposal to be located directly on the site of a major potential railway alignment. The rail alignment is proposed for the NE (Ward 7) "Adventure Line", commuter rail service to Del City, Midwest City, and Tinker Air Force Base. Also, there are major implications for distant proposed AMTRAK type "High Speed" rail connecting Oklahoma City to Tulsa.
Everyone's leaving
The house is in mess
You and your magic friend
Chose to confront me folding the air into a dark affair
We need an air force
To gather the pieces, the love and the fear
I made your skin crawl on this night
Oh, my love
Lock up the doors
There's no easing the pain
Losing a life of games
Brought to impostures and comfort in death
You walk alone, my friend
We need an air force
To gather the pieces, the love and the fear
I made your skin crawl on this night
Oh, my love
Take off these sad clothes I need you to feel my despair Breaking the atmosphere
All of your talk of the dead will not stop
Breathe me like toxic love
We need an air force
To empty the streets with their naked machines
You made my skin crawl on this night
Oh, my love
We won't be air borne
Caught with the dust and the salt on the floor
We need an air force in this life
