Senior is a term used in the United States to describe a student in the 4th year of study (generally referring to high school or college/university study).
In the United States, the 12th grade is usually the fourth and final year of a student's high school period and is referred to as senior year. In England and Wales, students in their tenth year and above in Secondary School are seniors; in Scotland, students in their fifth year and above are seniors. In the Canadian province of Ontario, high school students in their third year and above are considered to be seniors.
In the United States, the final year of a student's education towards a bachelor's degree, typically the fourth year, is known as the senior year.
In college athletics, a student in their final year of eligibility is known as a senior.
The term super senior is used in the United States to refer to a fifth-year student who has not completed the graduation requirements by the end of the fourth year, and thus is required to stay an additional year to complete said requirements.
Senior is the fourth studio album by Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp, released on 8 September 2010 by Wall of Sound. Consisting of instrumental tracks only, the album is described as more introspective and withdrawn than its predecessor, Junior (2009). The CD's final track "A Long, Long Way" also includes the hidden track "The Final Day", which is available as a separate track on the iTunes Store.
The album debuted at number 33 on the UK Albums Chart with first-week sales of 3,864 copies.Senior spawned two singles: "The Drug" and "Forsaken Cowboy".
Senior is intended to be an introspective, withdrawn, atmospheric counterpart to the "bubbly dance grooves" of Junior (2009), with Röyksopp stating it has a more "autumn mood" to it, in contrast to Junior's "spring feel". In an interview with KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, Svein Berge dubbed Senior "the senile sibling of Junior who lives in the attic". Berge cited "The Alcoholic" as a standout track, explaining that they had "this romantic, nostalgic idea based on this hobo who hitchhikes on trains and travels from place to place".
Senior is a surname. Notable people with the surname include:
Li (Chinese: 李; pinyin: Lǐ) is the second most common surname in China, behind only Wang. It is also one of the most common surnames in the world, shared by 93 million people in China, and more than 100 million worldwide. It is the fourth name listed in the Song dynasty classic text Hundred Family Surnames. According to the Sixth National Population Census of the People's Republic of China, Li takes back the number one surname in China with a population of 95,300,000 (7.94%).
The name is pronounced as "Lei" in Cantonese, but is often spelled as Lee in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and many other overseas Chinese communities. In Macau, it is also spelled as Lei. In Indonesia it is commonly spelled as Lie.
The common Korean surname, Lee (also romanized as Yi, Ri, or Rhee), and the Vietnamese surname, Lý, are both derived from Li and are historically written with the same Chinese character, 李. The character also means "plum" or "plum tree".
According to tradition, the Li surname originated from the title Dali held by Gao Yao, a legendary minister of the Xia dynasty, and was originally written with the different character, 理. Laozi (Li Er), the founder of Taoism, was the first historical person known to have the surname and is regarded as the founding ancestor of the surname.
Tenacious D is the first studio album by American comedy rock band Tenacious D, released on September 25, 2001 by Epic Records. The album's polished production was a departure from the band's acoustic origins, due in part to the production of the Dust Brothers.
"Tribute" was the first single released from the album, followed by "Wonderboy". Both singles had music videos filmed for them, with the Liam Lynch–directed Tribute video achieving cult status. While Tenacious D did not achieve chart success after its release, it was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America by the end of 2005. Despite only peaking at #38 in the UK, it had sold 426,000 copies countrywide by 2006.
For their first album, they enlisted the help of drummer Dave Grohl, keyboardist Page McConnell of Phish, guitarist Warren Fitzgerald, and bass player Steven Shane McDonald. The Dust Brothers produced the album. The majority of the songs on their debut album stem from early versions as seen on their HBO TV series, Tenacious D. The record itself does not list the song titles on the back cover as is the convention but instead on the back cover of the jacket; therefore one must open the CD (after presumably buying it) to read them. This is perhaps to allow songs with expletives or words otherwise deemed offensive to escape censorship or omission.
Shaker – Lee is a station stop on the RTA Green Line in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. It is located at the intersection of Lee Road and Shaker Boulevard (Ohio State Route 87) in Shaker Heights.
The station is located 1.0 mile (1.6 km) north of Van Aken – Lee station on the Blue Line.
The station comprises two side platforms, the westbound platform west of the intersection, and the eastbound platform east of the intersection, with small shelters on each of the platforms. The platforms are located on the opposite side of the intersection than most other Green Line platforms on Shaker Boulevard because there are left turn lanes on Shaker Boulevard. Thus, trains must go through the intersection before picking up or discharging passengers, rather than loading before going through the intersection.
The station opened on December 17, 1913 with the initiation of rail service on what is now Shaker Boulevard from Coventry Road to Fontenay Road. The line was built by Cleveland Interurban Railroad and initially operated by the Cleveland Railway.

You’re never too old to learn how to code. Three years ago, Masako Wakamiya noticed the lack of fun game apps for senior citizens and created her own at the age of 81. It’s called Hinadan, and it’s inspired by a traditional Japanese doll festival. We met Wakamiya, now 84, in Kanagawa, Japan, and learned how this IT evangelist and digital creator is empowering other senior citizens to make the most of technology. #Coder #MasakoWakamiya #Hinadan SUBSCRIBE: https://goo.gl/vR6Acb This story is a part of our Frontiers series, where we bring you front and center to the dreamers, pioneers, and innovators leading society at the cutting edge. Learn more about the creative writing and English degree Amy Craton earned at http://bit.ly/2jHFZzH The goal of earning a college degree lingers in the minds of many. For Amy Craton, that glimmer of a thought burned for decades – over five, in fact. The 94-year-old Hawaiian completed her BA in Creative Writing & English in November 2016. The pursuit of her degree didn’t advance her career. It wasn’t going to position her for a bigger paycheck. Said SNHU President Paul Leblanc, “I think it’s the sense of satisfaction … the sense of achievement … the sense of being engaged in life, in the world.” Craton’s long road to her degree sounds like the journey of many other SNHU students: “I’ve always wanted to have my degree. … Things have gotten in the way. Life itself got in the way.” While...
