The Philadelphia Flyers are an American professional ice hockey team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Hockey League (NHL). They are members of the league's Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference. Part of the 1967 NHL Expansion, the Flyers were the first expansion team in the post-Original Six era to win the Stanley Cup, victorious in 1973–74 and again in 1974–75.
The Flyers' all-time points percentage of 57.7% (as of the 2014–15 NHL season) is the second-best in the NHL, behind only the Montreal Canadiens' 59.0%. Additionally, the Flyers have the most appearances in the league semi-finals (known as the conference finals since the 1981–82 season) out of all 24 expansion teams (16 appearances, winning 8), and they are second behind the St. Louis Blues for the most playoff appearances out of all expansion teams (37 out of 47 seasons).
The Flyers have played their home games on Broad Street since their inception, first at the Spectrum from 1967 until 1996, and then at the Wells Fargo Center from 1996 to the present.
Philadelphia (/ˌfɪləˈdɛlfiə/) is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the fifth-most-populous in the United States, with an estimated population in 2014 of 1,560,297. In the Northeastern United States, at the confluence of the Delaware and Schuylkill River, Philadelphia is the economic and cultural anchor of the Delaware Valley, a metropolitan area home to 7.2 million people and the eighth-largest combined statistical area in the United States.
In 1682, William Penn founded the city to serve as capital of the Pennsylvania Colony. Philadelphia played an instrumental role in the American Revolution as a meeting place for the Founding Fathers of the United States, who signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the Constitution in 1787. Philadelphia was one of the nation's capitals in the Revolutionary War, and served as temporary U.S. capital while Washington, D.C., was under construction. In the 19th century, Philadelphia became a major industrial center and railroad hub that grew from an influx of European immigrants. It became a prime destination for African-Americans in the Great Migration and surpassed two million occupants by 1950.

The Flyers season is over, coming to a fitting end in an overtime loss to Carolina. There were some huge highs (the ten game win streak) as well as some huge lows (the two months that followed said winning streak), but I still had fun all the same. I had fun watching, and I had just as much fun making all of these videos. While I'm bummed that I can't make any more Flyers videos until October, I still might make a video or two for other teams in the playoffs. Still trying to figure out what exactly I'd do, though. All videos come from NHL.com. Philadelphia Flyers goalie Michal Neuvirth was taken from the ice on a stretcher 7:37 into the first period against the New Jersey Devils after collapsing during a stoppage in play. With the teams setting up for a neutral-zone faceoff, Neuvirth fell to his back in his crease. He was tended to by medical personnel. He was conscious and moving before leaving the ice after a delay of about 10 minutes. Neuvirth was replaced by Anthony Stolarz, who was recalled from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League on Saturday to replace Steve Mason, who was unavailable to play.

They have some cap space. They have some holes to fill. How do they deal with the goaltending dilemma that seems to crop up every other year for this team since Hextall was playing in the NHL?
