Juan Carlos I of Spain

Juan Carlos (/ˌhwɑːŋˈkɑːrloʊs/, Spanish: [xwaŋˈkaɾlos]; Juan Carlos Alfonso Víctor María de Borbón y Borbón-Dos Sicilias, born 5 January 1938) reigned as King of Spain from 1975 to 2014, when he abdicated in favour of his son, Felipe VI.

Generalísimo Francisco Franco, the Spanish dictator, took over the government of Spain from the short-lived Second Spanish Republic by leading a successful rebellion in 1939, and ruled as "Regent to the [exiled] King of Spain". In 1969, he chose Prince Juan Carlos, grandson of King Alfonso XIII, to be the next head of state, bypassing his father Juan de Borbón and expecting him to continue Franco's own authoritarian regime. Juan Carlos became King on 22 November 1975, two days after Franco's death, the first reigning monarch since 1931. His father did not abdicate in favor of his son until 1977. Soon after enthronement, however, Juan Carlos introduced reforms to dismantle the Francoist regime and begin the Spanish transition to democracy. This led to the approval of the Spanish Constitution of 1978 in a referendum, which established a constitutional monarchy. In 1981, Juan Carlos played a major role in preventing a coup that attempted to revert Spain to Francoist government in the King's name.

Juan Carlos Alvarado

Juan Carlos Alvarado (born December 28, 1968 in Guatemala) is a Christian pop singer, known for songs such as: Cristo no esta muerto, El borde de su manto, No Basta, Vivo para Cristo,"Soy deudor", "Santo es el Señor", and among others.

In 1987, musician, songwriter, singer, author, speaker and pastor, Alvarado, was the worship band director of Palabra en Accion, recorded his first album, Digno de alabar. Today he has recorded more than 18 albums that are available on cassette, CD, and DVDs. He has sold over 10,000,000 copies of his records in Mexico, the United States and Latin America. In 1992 Alvarado recorded his first "Live" album as a singer, entitled Aviva el fuego. A year later Alvarado recorded Lion of Juda in Spanish under Word Records, an American label; more than 7,000 attended this spectacular event to praise and worship the Lord.

After the blessing achieved by the production Aviva el Fuego, Hosanna Integrity and Canzion Productions worked together with Alvarado to produce Glorificate and Tu Palabra consecutively in 1993 been this projects best sellers. In 1995 Alvarado celebrated his 10th anniversary and produced one of the most acclaimed albums: "Hoy mas que ayer" been this one of the best sellers album in Spanish with Word Music. Since those years Alvarado has been recording many projects like "FUEGO en vivo" and "Tu palabra cantare" Recently Alvarado travels all over Latin America and the world teaching leaders and musicians to go back to the roots of the Bible on praise and worship. He loves the bible.

Luis Alvarado

Luis César Alvarado Martínez (January 15, 1949 – March 20, 2001), born in Lajas, Puerto Rico, was a utility infielder in Major League Baseball.

From 1968 through 1977, he played for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Indians (1974), New York Mets and Detroit Tigers. Alvarado batted and threw right-handed. In nine seasons, he posted a .214 batting average with five home runs and 84 runs batted in (RBIs) in 463 games played.

Nicknamed "Pimba", Alvarado broke into the majors in 1968 with the Boston Red Sox. In 1969 he started at Triple-A with the Louisville Colonels, and led the International League in runs (89) and hits (166), garnering Most Valuable Player honors. He returned to the Red Sox at the end of the season.

Alvarado divided much of his career playing time between shortstop and second base. After hitting .224 in 59 games for Boston in 1970, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox along with Mike Andrews in the same transaction that brought Luis Aparicio to the Red Sox. His most productive season came in 1972, when he posted career-highs in runs (30), hits (57), doubles (14) and games (103). He played in parts of 1974 to 1977 divided between the Cardinals, Indians, Mets and Tigers and for several teams in the Mexican League from 1979 to 1981.
