Attila

Attila (/ˈætᵻlə/ or /əˈtɪlə/; fl. 434–453), frequently referred to as Attila the Hun, was the ruler of the Huns from 434 until his death in March 453. Attila was a leader of the Hunnic Empire, a tribal confederation consisting of Huns, Ostrogoths, and Alans among others, on the territory of Central and Eastern Europe.

During his reign, he was one of the most feared enemies of the Western and Eastern Roman Empires. He crossed the Danube twice and plundered the Balkans, but was unable to take Constantinople. His unsuccessful campaign in Persia was followed in 441 by an invasion of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, the success of which emboldened Attila to invade the West. He also attempted to conquer Roman Gaul (modern France), crossing the Rhine in 451 and marching as far as Aurelianum (Orléans) before being defeated at the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains.

He subsequently invaded Italy, devastating the northern provinces, but was unable to take Rome. He planned for further campaigns against the Romans but died in 453. After Attila's death his close adviser Ardaric of the Gepids led a Germanic revolt against Hunnic rule, after which the Hunnic Empire quickly collapsed.

About That

About That (Про это) is a poem by Vladimir Mayakovsky written during the self-imposed two-months "exile" after a row with Lilya Brik. It was finished on 11 February 1923 and published on 29 March 1923, originally by the LEF magazine. The poem's first separate edition was illustrated by Alexander Rodchenko who in his montages used photographs made by Mayakovsky and Lilya Brik.

History

In summer 1922 Lilya Brik fell in love with Alexander Krasnoshchyokov, the then head of the newly formed Prombank. Mayakovsky was outraged, a quarrel ensued and the terms of the two-month separation have been agreed between the two. As a result, the poet departed to his 'boat-room' at the Lybyansky Lane, 3/6, "banned" from visiting the Briks at their Vodopyany Lane home. There, working for 16-20 hours a day, he wrote About That. On 11 February it was finished. "That was arguably my best poem in terms of the editorial work done upon it," he later wrote in a preface to the compilation This Year's Things.

About That Life

About That Life is the fifth full-length studio album by American metalcore band Attila. The album was originally released on June 25, 2013, through Artery Recordings. It is the band's third release on the label.

The album is the second by the band to be produced by Joey Sturgis, who has previously worked with such bands as The Devil Wears Prada, Emmure, We Came as Romans and Asking Alexandria.

Reception

Critical response

The album has been met with mostly indifferent reviews. Critics panned the CD on a number of fronts, from the musicianship, production, and lyrical content, however it has been highly praised by fans.

MetalSucks says "Totally obsessed with superficial bullshit, Chris 'Fronz' Fronzak seemingly can't help but leave a trail of douche slime everywhere he goes."

Allmusic states that "About That Life, from Southern-fried party-metalcore outfit Attila, sounds a little like Hinder, G.B.H., and Disturbed gave birth to a stillborn child and then had Fred Durst reanimate it."

Music video

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

Devil

The devil (from Greek: διάβολος or diábolos = slanderer or accuser) is believed in many religions, myths and cultures to be a supernatural entity that is the personification of evil and the archenemy of God and humankind. The nature of the role varies greatly, ranging from being an effective opposite force to the creator god, locked in an eons long struggle for human souls on what may seem even terms (to the point of dualistic ditheism/bitheism), to being a comical figure of fun or an abstract aspect of the individual human condition.

While mainstream Judaism contains no overt concept of a devil, Christianity and Islam have variously regarded the devil as a rebellious fallen angel or jinn that tempts humans to sin, if not committing evil deeds himself. In these religions – particularly during periods of division or external threat – the devil has assumed more of a dualistic status commonly associated with heretics, infidels, and other unbelievers. As such, the devil is seen as an allegory that represents a crisis of faith, individualism, free will, wisdom and enlightenment.

Egli intende trasferirsi a Los Angeles, per aiutare la cognata Hèlene e la nipote Nicole, in seri guai economici: costei lo respinge rimproverandogli di aver prima condotto il fratello sulla via della droga e poi di non essere arrivato in tempo a salvarlo dal baratro. Allora Léon fa aprire da Cynthia, che lo ospita e alle cui avance egli si sottrae, un conto bancario dove versa i proventi degli incontri, che poi fa recapitare alla cognata da Joshua, che si finge liquidatore di un'immaginaria assicurazione stipulata dal marito. Mentre Léon si riappacifica con la cognata, la Legione Straniera ha incaricato due militari di ritrovarlo e riportarlo in Francia per processarlo per la diserzione, ed in una colluttazione con loro egli riporta la frattura di una costola, alla vigilia di un incontro con Attila, un avversario particolarmente temibile ed aggressivo. Cynthia che, respinta a suo tempo da Léon, vuole vendicarsi, promette ai due legionari che lo consegnerà a loro dopo che l'avversario lo avrà massacrato. Dopo una drammatica gara Léon riesce a sopraffare il rivale e Cynthia, che ha scommesso contro, perde un'ingente somma. I due legionari, commossi, lasciano libero Léon

Továbbá számos történetvezetési hiba is terheli a filmet/előadást, ennek ellenére a zene és az énekhangok a legmagasabb szintet képviselik. A jobb érthetőség érdekében kis versecskéket írtam a fejezetek elé, akiket ez zavar azoktól elnézést, de ha egy embernek is segítette Atilla legendájának megértését, akkor már megérte. Bu 5 yılın sonunda Vizigotlar, vandallar, tursulinkler ve cermenler gibi pek çok savaşçı kavmi tek bayrak altında birleştirmeyi başardılar. Attilla bir askerdi ve tüm dünyayı feth etmek istiyordu. Ama kardeşi Bleda savaş yanlısı değildi ve Attillayı her zaman kısıtlıyordu. Bu sefer sırasında Attilla ile Bleda'nın arası bozuldu. Kısa bir süre sonrada Bleda çadırında hançerlenmiş bir şekilde ölü bulundu. Bazı tarihçiler bunu Attila'nın yaptığını söylese de gerçek hiç bir zaman öğrenilemedi. Attila ise bu teklifi kabul etti ama 3. Valentiniyanus dan çeyiz olarak imparatorluğun yarısını istedi. İmparator bunu reddetti ve savaş patlak verdi. 20 Haziran 451 günü Katalon Ovasında iki ordu karşı karşıya geldi. Doğu roma imparatorluğu ordusunun başında Attillayı gençliğinden tanıyan Flavius Aitus vardı. İki eski arkadaş yıllar sonra düşman olarak karşı karşıya geldiler. 24 saat süren savaşın sonunda iki tarafta çok büyük kayıplar versede bozguna uğrayan ve tamamen dağılan taraf Roma ordusu oldu. Herkes Attilla'nın kaçan Roma ordusunu takip etmesini beklerken o tüm ordusu ile Alp dağlarını aşarak İtalyanın kalbine, savunmasız Romaya doğru ilerlemeye başladı. Yol üstünde kendisine direnen pek çok şehri harabeye çevirdi. Ama Attilla sözüne sadık bir hükümdardı. Direnmeden teslim olan Milan ve Pavia gibi şehirlerde söz verdiği gibi kan dökmeden ayrıldı. Attilla aman dileyene dokunmuyordu ama karşısında kılıç çekenede hiç acımıyordu. Papa Attillayı geri dönmeye ikna ederek İtalyayı ve Hristiyanlık dininin geleceğini kurtarmıştır. Rivayete göre Attilla'nın papaya ''ben ve milletim tanrı'nın kırbacıyız. tanrı yoldan çıkan milletleri cezalandırmak için bizi gönderir'' sözünden sonra Attilla'nın adı tüm avrupada Tanrının Kırbacı olarak anılır. Günümüzde Attilla'nın kültürel mirasını Türkler ve Macarlar üstlenmektedir. Avrupada ve Hristiyan dünyasında ise şeytan olarak geçmekte ve adından hala tedirgin olunmaktadır.
