General (Editorial, Author, Sales, & Office)

D+Q is not hiring at this time. Please check back here for future updates regarding employment with us.

Unfortunately, we no longer run an internship program. Cheers to the many good ones we've had!

We are slowly rolling our books out on the KOBO platform, a list of available titles is here. If a title is available as an e-book, it will be listed as an option on the specific book's page. We plan to add more third party vendors in good time.

We love this! Email publicity@drawnandquarterly.com with the title, your name, mailing address, name of the class, number of students, and what bookstore they will be ordering from.

Email permissions@drawnandquarterly.com with your name and contact information, the book and author you want to excerpt, along with specific panels or pages. Also include the publisher, print run, cover price, and release date, if applicable.

Email publicity@drawnandquarterly.com and we will put you in touch with our foreign rights agent, Samantha Haywood of the Transatlantic Agency.

Please email publicity@drawnandquarterly.com and we will forward on all appropriate requests. Please do not mail us any fan mail or books to blurb, as most of our authors are international and it is expensive for us to forward this via post, if we do so at all. If we forward on your request, the author, their agent, or one of us will reply if there is interest. If you do not hear back, it is likely not a possibility.

Unfortunately, we do not accept visitors off the street as the disappointment when people visit our office is too great. Please visit our store in Mile End, Montreal, at 211 Bernard Ouest. You'll have a much nicer time.

Yes, it does.  Please use this URL https://www.drawnandquarterly.com/rss.xml with your RSS reader.

Distribution

D+Q books are available through two main distributors. We are a client publisher of Farrar, Straus and Giroux/Macmillan (MPS). Please note that Macmillan has a specialty sales team for the gift market, an academic department, and a library department. For the specialty comic book market, you can order from Diamond Comics. Our books are also available from sub distributors including Baker & Taylor, Ingram, and Last Gasp.

We are a client publisher of Publishers Group UK. Please note that we have sold British publishing rights for a number of our titles. Please visit the foreign editions section on each book’s page for more information on specific titles.

Our books are available from Macmillan International; please contact Macmillan international sales in New York City for more information. Or you can also order from speciality distributors Pinceel and Diamond.

Our books are available from Macmillan International; Please contact Macmillan international sales in New York City for more information.

All D+Q's pamphlet-style comics are distributed through Diamond Comics (US and international) and Last Gasp (US only). Please contact these fine distributors directly.

Shopping

No, unfortunately we do not. We only process orders online.

Canadian orders will be processed in Canadian dollars, and for these orders we accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. American and international orders are processed in US dollars, and for these orders we accept Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express in the USA.

Our website automatically charges for shipping and handling and orders are shipped from the D+Q office. If you would like to pick up from the store, we prefer for you to buy direct from the store.

At this time, no. We plan to have a webstore for Librairie D+Q in late 2014. You can call the store, however, and place a special order of non-D+Q books. Please call 514-279-2224, Monday through Friday, 9–5.

In Canada, all orders ship via Canada Post Regular Parcel. In the US, orders ship USPS Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation, unless otherwise specified as USPS Priority or FedEx Ground. Please note that FedEx Ground does not ship to PO Boxes.

Without delivery confirmation, we had too many undelivered packages. This allows us to know if a package was delivered to the doorstep by the USPS. We are not responsible for any packages that USPS deems delivered, but the recipient does not receive.

Our US warehouse uses a low-cost third party shipper that is cheaper and faster than USPS. International addresses need to be as complete as possible. Any returned packages that were shipped to the address on the billing invoice will NOT be resent, and will only ship again when the customer pays for the return shipping and new shipping, as D+Q gets charged shipping for returned packages.

We do not guarantee delivery within the estimated time frames—they are merely provided to give you an approximate idea of when to expect your order to arrive. Please add 1 to 2 business days for order processing and packing. Local conditions and other factors, such as customs delays for international orders, may cause actual delivery times to vary.

We will not accept inquiries on orders via Canada Post and USPS Media with Delivery Confirmation until three weeks after the order was placed. We will not accept inquiries on orders via USPS Priority or FedEx Ground until two weeks after the order was placed. We will not accept inquiries on international orders until six weeks after the order was placed.

Any duties or taxes levied against packages arriving from outside the destination country are determined by local Customs and Immigration agencies and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Our warehouses take great precaution to ensure that orders arrive in new condition. For any problems, email weborders@drawnandquarterly.com with photos of the damaged shipping package, the product, the order number, and the shipping name and address.

Please take a photo of the issue and email it to weborders@drawnandquarterly.com; please include the product, order number, and shipping name and address.

At this time we do not, but we hope to offer these options in the future.

Shipping will be charged in two amounts for the two shipments, but you will be charged the total amount of both shipments at the time your order is placed.

D+Q books are sold all over the world! Please check our retailer listing. Most stores are happy to accept special orders, and we encourage everyone to go to their local store and ask for our books. Also, on each book’s page, we list any e-book and international editions available. And lastly, you can always visit us at one of the North American festivals we attend or the Librairie D+Q here in Montreal!

All available pamphlet-style comic books published by D+Q are available right here on our website. You can also find them at comics shops around the world. To find a comics retailer in your city, please call 1-888-COMIC-BOOK.

Submissions

Please send all submissions via low resolution PDF to submissions@drawnandquarterly.com. We do not respond to all submissions and we do not read scripts. If you mail us a physical copy, which we strongly discourage, please do so knowing you likely will not hear back from us. Please research what we publish in advance to make sure your comic is well-aligned with Drawn & Quarterly's existing titles.

Please submit all books to submissions@drawnandquarterly.com. Please research what we publish and know that we do not pair writers with artists or read scripts.
