Just posted the top 10 sales through our retail channels in 2020 those who follow our monthly charts will not be too surprised, but the list definitely underlines the fact that our customers like pretty extreme music, and they like to read too!

‘Covid denier’ Gary Matthews dies from virus day after testing positive. He didn't wear a mask, or take precautions and continued to meet friends after falling for conspiracy theories online. A victim of the anti-mask, anti-lockdown brigade.

I’ve asked in a Woodberry Down Facebook group about the urban myth that the estate was used as a backdrop in Schindler’s List. A few say they remember it and the fake snow, film crew, ‘German’ cars and flyer about it. However SL filmed in ‘93 and they are referring to early 80s

The group discussions on whether to back a major TV series about our politics in Hackney in late 80s and 90s is progressing well although no decision yet taken. Sadly we are discovering some people who would appear in it have died.

The police might decide to stop you at any time and ask you questions. You do not have to answer any of these questions and must only give your name and address if police have reason to believe that you have engaged, or are engaging, in anti-social behaviour.

Not sure how to put it, but Ken Weller, co-founder of the London Solidarity group, died last night at the age of 85. It seems Ken might have contracted Covid after a visit to the hospital. We had a short chat last weekend about the far right storming the US capitol building...

we had as live be dead drunk every day of the weeke, and lye with whores i’th market place, and account these as good actions as taking the poore abused, enslaved ploughmans money from him, we had rather starve, I say, then take away his money from him, for killing of men.

My nearly impossible to find 2014 novel 9 Lives of Ray of Ray The Cat Jones will be reissued by next month. Here's the new cover. In it housebreaking is considered as a form of class war in a bitter sweet tale of a boxer turned thief - & it's based on a true story!
