The public parliamentary hearings "Partnership of branches of power as a prerequisite for successful implementation of SDGs” took place in the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
To implement green urban development plans it is important to have broad support of the local population and the media. This idea was emphasized by the participants of the press breakfast, organized in Polotsk by the "Green Cities" project’s team for journalists from Polack and Navapolack-pilot cities of the project, as well as representatives of some republican media.
The “Small towns” project carried out a study tour to the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) to learn the practices of implementing federal and regional programs to support small and medium businesses.
EU and UNDP are joining efforts to support small and medium businesses across Belarus.
Perspective directions for green urban planning in Belarus were discussed in Minsk. International seminar was held within the framework of the project "Belarus: Supporting Green Urban Development in Small and Medium-Sized Cities of Belarus" ("Green Cities").
The outcomes of the project “Supporting the Transition to a Green Economy in the Republic of Belarus”, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, have been presented in Minsk today.
On November 27, a press tour dedicated to the development of the tourist potential of the town of Smilavičy on the basis of its unique cultural heritage was held.
