Kamari
Kamari (Greek: Καμάρι) is a coastal village on the southeastern part of the Aegean island of Santorini, Greece, in the Cyclades archipelago with a population of approx. 1800 according to the 2001 census. It is part of the Municipality of Thira and is situated approximately 8 km away from the island's capital Fira. Kamari was built by residents of the nearby village of Episkopi Gonias (Greek: Επισκοπή Γωνιάς, also Μέσα Γωνιά), which was almost flattened by a devastating earthquake that hit Santorini in July 1956.
The village got its name from a small arch (Greek: Καμάρα, Kamara) that still rises at the south end of its beach and is what remains from an ancient sanctuary dedicated to Poseidon. Today, it stretches along a beach covered with black pebbles, which is the longest of the island. The beach extends in a northeast to southwest direction from Monolithos to the feet of the Mesa vouno mountain that rises up to a height of approx. 400m, being Santorini's second highest peak. Once an agricultural and fishing village, modern Kamari boasts a thriving tourist industry, offering a wide choice of accommodation, restaurants, cafes, bars and night clubs, plus several water sport activities.

Kefalos was built on a hill that faces the sea at the end of the road crossing the island. There's a wonderful view of the scenic Kamari Bay and the caustic cliff with the chapel on it.
This is the most beautiful and most popular beach of Kos where we can find both sandy and rocky beaches. The protected bay is the favorite place of surfers as well.
Adjacent to the beach, on the rocky peninsula that stretches into the sea some columns wall relics and mosaics indicate that the Paleochristian Basilica devoted to Aristophanes used to stand here.
Castro was a fortress now in ruins which stands at the highest point of Kefalos. Its relics were taken away and used for building material by local people. The relics of Astypalea, the ancient capital of the island were excavated 1.5 to 2 kilometers south of the town which was destroyed by an earthquake in the fifth century. This was the birthplace of Hippocrates.
The windmills standing on top of the mountain has been inherited from father to son since 1410.

Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Kamari Bay, the most beautiful and most popular beach of Kos where we can find
both sandy and rocky beaches. The protected bay is the favorite place of surfers as well.
Visit Kamari Bay in Kos Greece
Kefalos was built on a hill that faces the sea at the end of the road crossing the island. There's a wonderful view of the scenic Kamari Bay and the caustic cliff with the chapel on it.
This is the most beautiful and most popular beach of Kos where we can find both sandy and rocky beaches. The protected bay is the favorite place of surfers as well.
Adjacent to the beach, on the rocky peninsula that stretches into the sea some columns wall relics and mosaics indicate that the Paleochristian Basilica devoted to Aristophanes used to stand here.
Castro was a fortress now in ruins which stands at the highest point of Kefalos. Its relics were taken away and used for building material by local people. The relics of Astypalea, the ancient capital of the island were excavated 1.5 to 2 kilometers south of the town which was destroyed by an earthquake in the fifth century. This was the birthplace of Hippocrates.
The windmills standing on top of the mountain has been inherited from father to son since 1410.
