Perth police investigate Friday night fatal crashes

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Perth's east on Friday night.

Police said about 10:40pm a white 2009 Mitsubishi Triton utility was being driven north on Hopkinson Road when it collided with a pedestrian near Cavanagh Close.

The 45-year-old man from Cardup died at the scene - the driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured.

Anyone with information regarding this crash, or who saw the white Mitsubishi Triton or the pedestrian in the Cardup area prior to the crash, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

Meanwhile,  Major Crash investigators are looking into a fatal traffic crash in Ellenbrook in which a motorcycle rider lost control, hit a curb and was thrown from the bike.

Police said the crash happened at about 8.05pm on Friday evening on Mitre Bend in Ellenbrook.

The 33-year-old man from Ellenbrook was taken to hospital by St John Ambulance to Midland Hospital but later died of his injuries.
