In this video Nellie Benner takes in MDMA crystals to see what effect it has on her body. MDMA is a psychoactive drug used primarily as a recreational drug. Desired effects of MDMA include increased empathy, euphoria, and heightened sensations.
USE:
When taking MDMA powder or “crystals”, the user licks small amounts of the substance from a wet finger. This way, the dose can slowly be increased. Another option is to put the powder in a capsule or to roll it in cigarette paper (creating a “bomb”) and then to swallow it. Very occasionally MDMA powder is snorted and it can also be smoked, but this almost never happens. MDMA can damage your tooth enamel; if you dissolve the powder in a drink or lick it up, you increase the chance of damaging your teeth.
DOSE:
A recreational dose is between 1 and 1.5 mg MDMA for each kilogram body weight per occasion (or between 0.4 and 0.7 mg MDMA for each pound body weight). This means that when you weigh 60 kg (or 130 pounds), a recreational dose would be between 60 and 90 mg MDMA for the whole evening. Does your tablet contain more than 180 mg MDMA? In that case, a half tablet (or two times a quarter tablet with at least one and a half hour in between) should be enough for the desired effect. If you take more, you will especially experience more unwanted effects like jaw tension, forgetfulness, confusion and nausea. Of course the use of MDMA is never without risks, but if you follow this advice you can limit the risks and side effects as much as possible.

This episode Bastiaan Rosman swallows MDMA (3,4 methylenedioxy-methamphetamine). After swallowing the MDMA he feels like he is at a kids party.

Another option is to put the powder in a capsule or to roll it in cigarette paper (creating a “bomb”) and then to swallow it. Very occasionally MDMA powder is snorted and it can also be smoked, but this almost never happens. MDMA can damage your tooth enamel; if you dissolve the powder in a drink or lick it up, you increase the chance of damaging your teeth.

High Society is a new VICE documentary series about drugs in the UK.
British people statistically take more MDMA in one session than any other country on the planet. And not just a little bit more: on average, Brits take 420 milligrams per session. To put that in perspective, Germans, the same people who invented minimal techno and nightclubs that stay open for 60 hours – take only 200 milligrams.
It’s still one of the safest drugs to take, but last year, ecstasy-related deaths reached their highest level in a decade, and now it’s back in the headlines. Some people say it’s drug dealers’ responsibility for selling pills that are dangerously strong and cut with adulterants. Other people point to the government, who have failed to reduce the supply of ecstasy and are refusing to embrace harm reduction strategies that have worked in Europe.
In this episode of High Society, we find out what’s making ecstasy so dangerous again, and how that danger can be reduced.

MDMA
MDMA (contracted from 3,4-methylenedioxy-methamphetamine) is a psychoactive drug of the substituted methylenedioxyphenethylamine and substituted amphetamine classes of drugs that is consumed primarily for its euphoric and empathogenic effects. Pharmacologically, MDMA acts as a serotonin-norepinephrine-dopamine releasing agent and reuptake inhibitor.
MDMA has become widely known as ecstasy (shortened to "E", "X", or "XTC"), usually referring to its tablet form, although this term may also include the presence of possible adulterants. The UK term "Mandy" and the US term "Molly" colloquially refer to MDMA in a crystalline powder form that is thought to be free of adulterants. In the media "Molly" can sometimes also refer to the related drugs methylone, MDPV, mephedrone or any other of the pharmacological group of compounds commonly known as bath salts.
Possession of MDMA is illegal in most countries. Some limited exceptions exist for scientific and medical research. In 2013 between 9 and 28 million people used ecstasy (0.2% to 0.6% of the global population between the ages of 15 and 65). This was broadly similar to the number for cocaine, substituted amphetamines, and opioids, but far fewer than the number of cannabis users. It is taken in a variety of contexts and is commonly associated with dance parties, raves, and electronic dance music.

Spuiten en Slikken (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈspœy̯tə(n) ɛn ˈslɪkə(n)]) (translated in English as Shoot and Swallow, referring to the different methods of taking drugs, as well as referring to the male orgasm and the act of swallowing semen during sex) is a Dutch television program on public television. It is a program about sexuality and drugs. It has been shown on BNN.
In the show, discussions about sex and drugs take place with weekly guests. The discussions are led by Nicolette Kluijver . Filemon Wesselink has tried several types of drugs during the shows and showed and told about the effects they had.
In later seasons, Dennis Storm did sex experiments in the show.
The show first aired October 10, 2005.

The Following
The Following is an American television drama series created by Kevin Williamson, and jointly produced by Outerbanks Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television.
The first season follows former FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) trying to help recapture serial killer Joe Carroll, while Carroll's assembled cult captures Carroll's son from his ex-wife and sends Carroll's messages to the world. The second season introduces Hardy's niece, who provides help in finding Carroll after his fake death while also dealing with a new cult.
The series is broadcast on the commercial broadcast television network Fox. In its first two seasons, it starred Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy in leading roles, as well as Shawn Ashmore, Natalie Zea, and Valorie Curry. The first season, comprising 15 episodes, premiered on January 21, 2013 and concluded on April 29, 2013. This episode Bastiaan Rosman swallows MDMA (3,4 methylenedioxy-methamphetamine). After swallowing the MDMA he feels like he is at a kids party. USE: When taking MDMA powder or “crystals”, the user licks small amounts of the substance from a wet finger. This way, the dose can slowly be increased. Another option is to put the powder in a capsule or to roll it in cigarette paper (creating a “bomb”) and then to swallow it. Very occasionally MDMA powder is snorted and it can also be smoked, but this almost never happens. MDMA can damage your tooth enamel; if you dissolve the powder in a drink or lick it up, you increase the chance of damaging your teeth. DOSE: A recreational dose is between 1 and 1.5 mg MDMA for each kilogram body weight per occasion (or between 0.4 and 0.7 mg MDMA for each pound body weight). This means that when you weigh 60 kg (or 130 pounds), a recreational dose would be between 60 and 90 mg MDMA for the whole evening. Does your tablet contain more than 180 mg MDMA? In that case, a half tablet (or two times a quarter tablet with at least one and a half hour in between) should be enough for the desired effect. If you take more, you will especially experience more unwanted effects like jaw tension, forgetfulness, confusion and nausea. Of course the use of MDMA is never without risks, but if you follow this advice you can limit the risks and side effects as much as possible. Another option is to put the powder in a capsule or to roll it in cigarette paper (creating a “bomb”) and then to swallow it. Very occasionally MDMA powder is snorted and it can also be smoked, but this almost never happens. MDMA can damage your tooth enamel; if you dissolve the powder in a drink or lick it up, you increase the chance of damaging your teeth.
DOSE:
A recreational dose is between 1 and 1.5 mg MDMA for each kilogram body weight per occasion (or between 0.4 and 0.7 mg MDMA for each pound body weight). This means that when you weigh 60 kg (or 130 pounds), a recreational dose would be between 60 and 90 mg MDMA for the whole evening. Does your tablet contain more than 180 mg MDMA? In this video Nellie Benner takes in MDMA crystals to see what effect it has on her body. MDMA is a psychoactive drug used primarily as a recreational drug. Desired effects of MDMA include increased empathy, euphoria, and heightened sensations.
USE:
When taking MDMA powder or “crystals”, the user licks small amounts of the substance from a wet finger. This way, the dose can slowly be increased. Another option is to put the powder in a capsule or to roll it in cigarette paper (creating a “bomb”) and then to swallow it. Very occasionally MDMA powder is snorted and it can also be smoked, but this almost never happens. MDMA can damage your tooth enamel; if you dissolve the powder in a drink or lick it up, you increase the chance of damaging your teeth.
DOSE:
A recreational dose is between 1 and 1.5 mg MDMA for each kilogram body weight per occasion (or between 0.4 and 0.7 mg MDMA for each pound body weight). This means that when you weigh 60 kg (or 130 pounds), a recreational dose would be between 60 and 90 mg MDMA for the whole evening. Does your tablet contain more than 180 mg MDMA? British people statistically take more MDMA in one session than any other country on the planet. And not just a little bit more: on average, Brits take 420 milligrams per session. To put that in perspective, Germans, the same people who invented minimal techno and nightclubs that stay open for 60 hours – take only 200 milligrams.
It’s still one of the safest drugs to take, but last year, ecstasy-related deaths reached their highest level in a decade, and now it’s back in the headlines. Some people say it’s drug dealers’ responsibility for selling pills that are dangerously strong and cut with adulterants. Other people point to the government, who have failed to reduce the supply of ecstasy and are refusing to embrace harm reduction strategies that have worked in Europe.
In this episode of High Society, we find out what’s making ecstasy so dangerous again, and how that danger can be reduced.

High Society is a new VICE documentary series about drugs in the UK.
British people statistically take more MDMA in one session than any other country on the planet. And not just a little bit more: on average, Brits take 420 milligrams per session. To put that in perspective, Germans, the same people who invented minimal techno and nightclubs that stay open for 60 hours – take only 200 milligrams.
It’s still one of the safest drugs to take, but last year, ecstasy-related deaths reached their highest level in a decade, and now it’s back in the headlines. Some people say it’s drug dealers’ responsibility for selling pills that are dangerously strong and cut with adulterants. Other people point to the government, who have failed to reduce the supply of ecstasy and are refusing to embrace harm reduction strategies that have worked in Europe.
In this episode of High Society, we find out what’s making ecstasy so dangerous again, and how that danger can be reduced.

In this video Rens Polman takes in Ecstasy (XTC / MDMA) to see what effect it has on his body. XTC is a psychoactive drug used primarily as a recreational drug. Desired effects of XTC (or MDMA) include increased empathy, euphoria, and heightened sensations.
USE:
Usually MDMA is swallowed in pill form (Ecstasy). Because every tablet contains a different amount of the active ingredient, you never know how much MDMA you take in when you swallow a whole, a half or a quarter tablet.
DOSE:
The dose of MDMA in ecstasy pills varies widely. Also, some tablets can contain a different (dangerous) substance like PM(M)A or mCPP. These substances are more harmful than MDMA and can cause unpleasant side effects. A recreational dose is between 1 and 1.5 mg MDMA for each kilogram body weight per occasion (or between 0.4 and 0.7 mg MDMA for each pound body weight). This means that when you weigh 60 kg (or 130 pounds), a recreational dose would be between 60 and 90 mg MDMA for the whole evening. Does your tablet contain more than 180 mg MDMA? In that case, a half tablet (or two times a quarter tablet with at least one and a half hour in between) should be enough for the desired effect. If you take more, you will especially experience more unwanted effects like jaw tension, forgetfulness, confusion and nausea. Of course the use of MDMA is never without risks, but if you follow this advice you can limit the risks and side effects as much as possible.

- Water intoxication (hyponatremia)
- Serotonin syndrome (serotonin poisoning)
- Higher risk of heart problems (cardiovascular disease)
- Epileptic seizure
- Acute confusional state
- Liver damage
- Psychological symptoms / hangover
