Rainbow Bridge is a 1971 film directed by Chuck Wein about different countercultural figures interacting on the Hawaiian island of Maui. According to author Harry Shapiro, "the idea was to shoot an antidote to Easy Rider showing the positive side of the youth movement". Wein described it as "a kind of space-age Candid Camera. We're going to place Pat [New York model Pat Hartley, the protagonist] in all kinds of real-life situtations, and film what happens. We're going to shoot a lot of film and just see what comes out of it".
Filmed with non-professional actors and without a script, it features improvised scenes with a variety of characters. When it became apparent that it was floundering, producer Michael Jeffery brought in his client Jimi Hendrix to film an outdoor concert (July 30, 1970). Hendrix's heavily edited (no complete songs) performance appears near the end of the film. Rainbow Bridge was a critical failure and has been re-released on video tape and DVD formats. Although it only contains 17 minutes of Hendrix performing, it continues to attract attention as his second-to-last American concert and the last one filmed.
One of the most Cosmic '60's films to be made.
Rainbow Bridge is a 1972 film directed by Chuck Wein that features footage from a Jimi Hendrix concert, and a short piece of conversation between Pat Hartley, Wein and Hendrix. It was mainly financed by Hendrix manager Mike Jeffery, hence his appearance. The film is about Pat Hartley's "spiritual awakening" via a visit to the 'Rainbow Bridge' planetary meditation cult on Maui, where, as part of the proceedings Jimi Hendrix visits to play a concert during a 'Rainbow Bridge' mass meditation/colour/sound "experiment". The "Rainbow Bridge" concert was a free concert by Jimi Hendrix that was held on July 30, 1970, in a horse pasture above Seabury Hall, on the "Upcountry" slopes of Haleakala, the volcano that makes up 75% of the island of Maui, Hawaii, although it probably last erupted in the 17...

This is a clip from the film Rainbow Bridge made in 1972. Dr. Bronner was invited to speak to this group in Hawaii which was hosted by the Rainbow Bridge meditation center. Dr. Bronner speaks on fluoridation, Halley's Comet and humanity in his usual enthusiastic manner. Dr. Bronner was an opening act for Jimi Hendrix who arrived at the Rainbow Bridge scene later to perform a free concert on the island. Rainbow Bridge is a rare film. And those that usually find it are looking for the Jimi Hendrix concert footage which appears at the end. But for those who tuning in and turning on in California and Hawaii in the early seventies this film is a piece of precious history for it unexpectedly catches a candid and truthful glimpse of those times.

Beautiful story of the Rainbow Bridge set to pictures and moving music.
Inspirations from the book "Jack McAfghan", a story written from beyond Rainbow Bridge to bring light and hope to those who've lost a best friend. We're always together in the Home of our hearts. Keep the faith. Love never dies.

Climbing Rainbow Bridge (Tokyo) 126m I left Japan with good and bad memories. On my last day I decided to climb to the top of the Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo with an explorer from Tokyo. We both got caught by the police and we were arrested for 10 days in Japanese jail. I had no contact to anyone even to my family. I waited for one month to leave Japan finally. Please don't try to repeat this action because in a bad case you can face 6 months prison. Thank you for everyone who supported me in this time especially Vitaliy Raskalov who found out that I got arrested and told my family that I'm alive. (Most of the footage got deleted by the police but I hope I made the best of it!) Blog-Story: https://andrejcie.com/2016/06/06/rainbow-bridge-tokyo-126m/ Contact: andrej.ciesielski@googlemail.com ...
Hello everyone, this video and facebook page were created to raise awareness of spleen tumor in dogs. Awareness can prevent others from losing their pet. Spleen tumor is very common in dogs over 8 years old but can attack dogs even 1 year old. REMEMBER IN MANY CASES THERE ARE NO SYMPTOMS....TAKE YOUR DOG FOR REGULAR CHECK-UPS. I created this group in memory of my boy who at the age of 12 undergone a surgery on the 7th of January 2011 to remove spleen tumor. Sadly it had already spread on his liver and there was nothing I could do. Two days after the surgery I brought him home but he suffered too much and it was too painful to watch and listen to him crying. Even very strong pain killers were not enough. I had to face the toughest decision of letting him go to end his pain. He was my everyt...

Oh, say can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hail'd
At the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare!
The bombs bursting in air!
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave?
