Marsha Wedgeworth Blackburn (born June 6, 1952) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, she represents Tennessee's 7th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.
Born Marsha Wedgeworth in Laurel, Mississippi, she attended Mississippi State University, earning a B.S. in home economics in 1973. In college, she joined Chi Omega and worked as a student manager for the Southwestern Company, selling books door-to-door.
Blackburn's professional career began in 1973 when she was hired as a sales manager for Times Mirror, Inc. In 1975 she was named Director of Retail Fashion and Special Events of the Caster Knott Co. Division of Mercantile Stores, Inc. She held this position until 1978, when, she became the owner of Marketing Strategies, a promotion-event management and image consulting firm. She continues to run this business to this day.
Blackburn was a founding member of the Williamson county Young Republicans. She became chair of the Williamson county Republican party in 1989. In 1992, she was a candidate for Congress and a delegate to the 1992 Republican National Convention. She lost the congressional race, but remained active in politics. Blackburn was appointed executive director of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment, and Music Commission, in 1995, by Tennessee governor Don Sundquist and held that post through 1997. In 1998, she was elected to the Tennessee state senate where she served for six years and rose to be minority whip.

Blackburn i/ˈblækbərn/ is a large town in Lancashire, England. It lies to the north of the West Pennine Moors on the southern edge of the Ribble Valley, 9 miles (14 km) east of Preston, 20.9 miles (34 km) NNW of Manchester and 9 miles (14 km) north of the Greater Manchester border. Blackburn is bounded to the south by Darwen, with which it forms the unitary authority of Blackburn with Darwen; Blackburn is its administrative centre. At the time of the UK Government's 2001 census, Blackburn had a population of 105,085, whilst the wider borough of Blackburn with Darwen had a population of 140,700. Blackburn had a population of 106,537 in 2011, a slight increase since 2001. Blackburn is made up of fifteen wards in the Northeast of the surrounding borough.
A former mill town, textiles have been produced in Blackburn since the middle of the 13th century, when wool was woven in people's houses in the domestic system. Flemish weavers who settled in the area during the 14th century helped to develop the woollen cottage industry.James Hargreaves, inventor of the spinning jenny, was a weaver in Oswaldtwistle near Blackburn and the most rapid period of growth and development in Blackburn's history coincided with the industrialisation and expansion of textile manufacturing. Blackburn was a boomtown of the Industrial Revolution and amongst the first industrialised towns in the world.

This may encompass providing a spouse in the context of forced marriage, or the extraction of organs or tissues, including for surrogacy and ova removal. Human trafficking can occur within a country or trans-nationally. Human trafficking is a crime against the person because of the violation of the victim's rights of movement through coercion and because of their commercial exploitation. Human trafficking is the trade in people, and does not necessarily involve the movement of the person from one place to another.
Human trafficking represented an estimated $31.6 billion of international trade per annum in 2010. Human trafficking is thought to be one of the fastest-growing activities of trans-national criminal organizations.
Human trafficking is condemned as a violation of human rights by international conventions. In addition, human trafficking is subject to a directive in the European Union.
Bakari T. Sellers (born September 18, 1984) is an American politician who represented South Carolina's 90th district in the lower house of the state legislature from 2006 to 2014. He vacated his seat in the South Carolina House of Representatives to run for Lieutenant Governor that year. but lost. He was succeeded in office by Justin T. Bamberg.
Sellers is also the first vice chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party.
He is an alumnus of Morehouse College.
He is the son of Gwendolyn Sellers and civil rights activist and professor Cleveland Sellers.
Sellers was named HBCU Top 30 Under 30, in July 2014
Brianna Marie Keilar (born September 21, 1980) is the senior political correspondent and fill-in anchor for CNN in the Washington, D.C. bureau. She previously worked as a White House correspondent, Congressional correspondent and general assignment correspondent for CNN in Washington. Prior to that, Keilar worked at CNN Newsource as a national correspondent, also in Washington.
Keilar started in television news as an intern and production assistant at KTVU Channel 2 in Oakland, California. In 2001, she went to work as a general assignment reporter at KIMA-TV, the CBS affiliate in Yakima, Washington. During that same time, she also worked in radio as a morning show personality on "Billy, Blue and Brianna, Too: The Morning Zoo" on 107.3 KFFM.
In 2003, Keilar moved to New York to be an anchor, reporter and producer for CBS News on mtvU, a newscast that aired on MTV's college network. At CBS News on mtvU, she covered the 2004 presidential primaries and election from New Hampshire, Boston and New York. Brianna also covered the 2005 NFL Draft for mtvU. Keilar was 23 when she filled in as anchor of CBS News' overnight newscast, Up to the Minute, for the first time.
