Kevin Vincent Muscat (born 7 August 1973) is a former Australian international association football player who has been head coach of Melbourne Victory since 2013. Muscat earned a reputation as a "hard man" during his playing career, with his aggression and passion occasionally boiling over into some violent incidents.
After beginning his professional career in the Australian National Soccer League with Sunshine George Cross in 1989, Muscat forged a successful, albeit controversial career in the United Kingdom with Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Rangers and Millwall. He returned to Australia in 2005 to captain Melbourne Victory in the inaugural season of the A-league.
Muscat retired from professional football in March 2011 after Melbourne Victory's 2011 AFC Champions League campaign, citing his growing frustration at his inability to keep pace with the game. In June 2011 Muscat was reconfirmed as assistant coach at Melbourne Victory. Muscat briefly rejoined his former club Sunshine George Cross for part of the 2011 Victorian State League Division 1 season.
Muscat may refer to:
Kevin (/ˈkɛv.ɪn/; Irish: Caoimhín [kiː.vʲiːnʲ], Middle Irish: Caoimhghín [kəiṽʲ.ʝiːnʲ], Old Irish: Cóemgein [koiṽʲ.ɣʲinʲ], Scottish Gaelic: Caomhainn, Latin: Coemgenus) is a male first name of Goidelic origin. Among the earliest famous bearers of the name was Saint Kevin, although Kevin is not a biblical name. Caoimhghín derives from the Irish caomh (Old Irish cóem) "kind, honest, handsome" and -gin (Old Irish gein) "birth". Kevin influenced the similarly Irish-derived Kelvin, as well as the Latin Calvin. "Kevin" is one of the top 100 male baby names in Chile, France, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden and the United States. It can also be spelled Kevyn, Keven, or Kevan.
In the United Kingdom, its popularity peaked during the 1950s and 1960s, when it was frequently among the 20 most popular male first names, but by the 1990s it had fallen out of the top 100. In France, the name was very popular during the 1980s and 1990s, especially in the lower class. There is wide variation both on the pronunciation and accentation. A more Franco-Celtic pronunciation is often written as Kévin, while a consciously Anglo-American pronunciation is written without the accent. For example, French horseman Kevin Staut's and French runner Kévin Hautcœur's official websites differ, though the French media may pronounce both names similarly.

Melbourne Victory played Perth Glory in its first ever Hyundai A-League home game in September 2005, wearing a navy blue kit without the famous white V that exists today. That match, played in front of a sell-out crowd of 17,960 at Olympic Park Stadium, ended in a 2-2 draw, with the kit to be brought back for a one-off appearance at AAMI Park on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Richard Kitzbicher opened the scoring with MVFC's first ever Hyundai A-League home goal, before Adrian Caceres and then Bobby Despotovski found the net to put Perth Glory in front. But it was Melbourne Victory captain Kevin Muscat who secured a share of the spoils for the home team, converting an 85th-minute penalty to the delight of the MVFC members and fans.
I am taking part in one of the biggest rivalries in Aussie football - the "Big Blue" (so called because both teams primary colour of their playing strips is blue) match between Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC, albeit through the auspices of FIFA 15 for my Xbox One. I am controlling the Victory players. Okay, I lost - something Kevin Muscat's men did not do at all this A-League season. Mind you, this was my first play of this particular game in about three months, pretty good as I was just learning the controls again. Did you enjoy the video? Which big footballing rivalry should I play in next? You decide. ---------------------------------==============-------------------------------- This is another installment in my NES Retro Gaming series, which I will be adding to every Monday night....

Extended highlights of Sky TV's broadcast of the First Division derby between Wolves and West Bromwich Albion at Molineux on 18th March 2001. Following the sacking of Colin Lee after a home defeat to Birmingham City on 17th December, Dave Jones signed a three-year contract on 3 January 2001 to become Wolves manager. Wolves were in 16th position at the time of Lee's dismissal and just a single point clear of the relegation zone. At the time of Jones' appointment Wolves had risen to 12th, but results remained indifferent under Jones as the club eventually finished 12th - their lowest league finish for five seasons. However, two seasons later, Jones guided Wolves to promotion to the Premier League following an absence of nearly 20 years from the the top flight. Prior to their match against...
