A family of eight in Thailand were killed ‘execution-style’ in Krabi after gunmen disguised as military officials stormed their house early Tuesday.
Three others were also injured in the incident.
According to authorities, the seven assailants who arrived in two vehicles had earlier raided the house in Kampung Ban Klang, Aolud, about 4 pm Tuesday and detained seven members of the family.
The group waited for four hours for village head Worayut Sanlang to arrive home about 8 pm and what appeared to have been an ensuing altercation, shot the family members in the head just after midnight.
The killers left, taking Worayut's car with them.
Police called to the scene found four people dead inside the house, with four others sustaining serious gunshot wounds.
They were rushed to the hospital and later succumb to their injuries.
Three others who were wounded remained in hospital with one in critical condition.
Police say they believe the motive for the shootings was personal dispute and a manhunt for the killers is now underway.
We didn't get hit anything like some other Southern Thailand provinces, but today we got hammered pretty good. It was raining at a 6-7 inches per day rate. I know because I had a couple of those days in Miami where it rained all day like it did today. We got it for 10 hours or so.
In Krabi, it rarely floods - so, today was quite a site. I had to go out and capture some footage on the GoPro camera. What happened was, there were some spots that were really flooded out, and then in Krabi Town - nothing. No flooding at all. It was great really because nobody in town had to deal with it. However, Uttaradit Road - the River Road - was surely flooded in some spots. I didn't hear whether the Krabi airport was closed, but I'm sure it was for a while. Right now it's 7 pm and only a very light rain. Radar shows more rain and storms coming, but it could miss us, or hammer us. No idea yet.
Some of the areas by the mountains - Khao Phanom - always flood, so all those places will be off limits for a few days. The Huay Toh Waterfall must be gushing hard - and will be cool to see in a day or so after the rain stops.
In January we very rarely get heavy rain. I can't remember any heavy rain in 9 years here in Jan, so this was really odd.
If you're coming to Krabi in January, check the weather first, but usually you're fine - all the way through September. Sept, Oct, November we can have some heavy storms.

Jan 8 2017 Krabi town, the next stop on our South East Asia adventure, experienced intense rain and flooding. We had just left flooding on the island of Koh Samui and hoped to find sunshine. Instead, stores/shops were flooded and items were floating down the road. We managed to save a few items and pass them off to the people on higher ground. After trudging through knee high water and taking backroads we made it back to our hotel. Let the adventure continue!

Geoff Carter heads out to sea on a Longtail boat on the 4 Islands tour from Ao Nang in Krabi. the tour leaves at 8 am and return at 4pm. snorkling, swimming, sunbathing, walking, kayaking, A great way to spend the day exploring the islands. at the time of filming it costs 2,200 Baht for the day and includes up to six people. You have to provide your own food and drinks. Also there is a 200 baht charge for the boat to park on the islands beaches (includes all 4) It a National Trust charge for the day.

Krabi
Krabi Town (Thai: กระบี่) is the main town in the province of Krabi (thesaban mueang) on the west coast of southern Thailand at the mouth of the Krabi River where it empties in Phang Nga Bay. As of 2010 the town had a population of 52,867. The town is the capital of Krabi Province and Krabi District. Tourism is an important industry. Krabi is 783 km south of Bangkok by road.
Administration
The town covers the tambon Paknam and Krabi Yai of Krabi district, and is subdivided into 10 communities (chumchon).
Location
Krabi is a southern province on Thailand's Andaman seaboard with perhaps the country's oldest history of continued settlement. After dating stone tools, ancient colored pictures, beads, pottery, and skeletal remains found in the province's many cliffs and caves, it is thought that Krabi has been home to Homo sapiens since c. 25,000–35,000 BCE. In recorded times it was called the "Ban Thai Samor", and was one of twelve towns that used, before people were widely literate, the monkey for their standard. At that time, c. 1200 CE, Krabi was tributary to the Kingdom of Ligor, a city on the Kra Peninsula's east coast better known today as Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Krabi Floods 1-8-2017 - Thailand Living
We didn't get hit anything like some other Southern Thailand provinces, but today we got hammered pretty good. It was raining at a 6-7 inches per day rate. I know because I had a couple of those days in Miami where it rained all day like it did today. We got it for 10 hours or so. In Krabi, it rarely floods - so, today was quite a site. I had to go out and capture some footage on the GoPro camera. What happened was, there were some spots that were really flooded out, and then in Krabi Town - nothing. No flooding at all. It was great really because nobody in town had to deal with it. However, Uttaradit Road - the River Road - was surely flooded in some spots. I didn't hear whether the Krabi airport was closed, but I'm sure it was for a while. Right now it's 7 pm and only a very light rain....

Krabi town Flood Thailand
Jan 8 2017 Krabi town, the next stop on our South East Asia adventure, experienced intense rain and flooding. We had just left flooding on the island of Koh Samui and hoped to find sunshine. Instead, stores/shops were flooded and items were floating down the road. We managed to save a few items and pass them off to the people on higher ground. After trudging through knee high water and taking backroads we made it back to our hotel. Let the adventure continue! Follow us through our trip. We post vlog updates and do crazy things. Experience this amazing place with us.

A family of eight in Thailand were killed ‘execution-style’ in Krabi after gunmen disguised as military officials stormed their house early Tuesday.
Three others were also injured in the incident.
According to authorities, the seven assailants who arrived in two vehicles had earlier raided the house in Kampung Ban Klang, Aolud, about 4 pm Tuesday and detained seven members of the family.
The group waited for four hours for village head Worayut Sanlang to arrive home about 8 pm and what appeared to have been an ensuing altercation, shot the family members in the head just after midnight.
The killers left, taking Worayut's car with them.
Police called to the scene found four people dead inside the house, with four others sustaining serious gunshot wounds.
They were rushed to the hospital and later succumb to their injuries.
Three others who were wounded remained in hospital with one in critical condition.
Police say they believe the motive for the shootings was personal dispute and a manhunt for the killers is now underway.

In January we very rarely get heavy rain. I can't remember any heavy rain in 9 years here in Jan, so this was really odd.
If you're coming to Krabi in January, check the weather first, but usually you're fine - all the way through September. Sept, Oct, November we can have some heavy storms.

Geoff Carter heads out to sea on a Longtail boat on the 4 Islands tour from Ao Nang in Krabi. the tour leaves at 8 am and return at 4pm. snorkling, swimming, sunbathing, walking, kayaking, A great way to spend the day exploring the islands. at the time of filming it costs 2,200 Baht for the day and includes up to six people. You have to provide your own food and drinks. Also there is a 200 baht charge for the boat to park on the islands beaches (includes all 4) It a National Trust charge for the day.

I went on this trip with no plan whatsoever. Literally. I just booked my flight to Krabi Thailand and figured it all out as I went. I stayed at a really cheap hotel near the city center of Krabi, and I went and booked my tours.
The first tour I went on was out to the Phi Phi Islands. It was fabulous. We stopped of at a few different islands on the way as we snorkeled, went fishing, chilled on the beach, played in the water and so much more. The tour guides were fabulous. We took a speed boat that day.
My second day: I rented a motorcycle for 250 Baht/day (aprx. 10 dollars) and I just drove around. I hit up the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua) and hiked up to the top... it was extremely tiring! I felt like Frodo and Sam from Lord of the Rings when they had to take the back way into Mordor up the big staircase (yes... i totally sounded like a nerd right there) I also hit up the Emerald Pool, hot streams, and anything else along the way.
Third and final day: I took a tour out to Hong Island on a long tail boat. On the way we hit up Red Island and snorkeled there. We stopped at another island... which I have since forgotten the name. and finally we got to Hong Island. We kayaked and it was just a blast.
If you ever want to go to Krabi, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure!

Film by Nathan Bartling using a Panasonic GH4 filmed at 4K/UHD resolution.
Edited using Premiere Pro CC
Barely any colors were changed in Post Production. This is literally all straight out of the camera. There were three shots that I stabilized at 15% and I believe about 5 shots with little color correction, but besides that it's all straight out of the camera.
I used a Glidecam HD 2000 for all of the smoothe "floating" shots

Hey guys, I been missing my Travel vlog for the longest and believe me when I said I did miss all these travel adventures.
One of my favourite country to travel is Thailand. Why Thailand?
Because, it is quite near to Malaysia, it’s a beautiful country, things are cheaper there, people are nice, and it has lots to offer in tourism.
We went to Krabi, Thailand on 2nd November 2015 and stayed for 4 days 3 nights. It was a well spend trip and we enjoyed it so much.

One of my favourite country to travel is Thailand. Why Thailand?
