'I'm jealous of all the partners she's going to have': 'Single and jobless' Strictly champ Joe McFadden discusses his relationship with Katya Jones... as he 'denies bust-up claims with close pal'
He cemented his place in the Strictly Come Dancing history books when he became the oldest contestant to lift the Glitterball trophy at age 42 on Saturday.
And as he gets used to life outside the ballroom, Joe McFadden has admitted he will be overcome with jealousy when his pro partner Katya Jones is paired up with a new celebrity, in a post-victory chat on Monday's Lorraine.
The interview came after Joe was reportedly forced to deny claims that he had a physical bust-up with a close male pal, according to The Sun.

Praising his 28-year-old Russian dance partner he said: 'Any partner is going to do well with that girl. I’m jealous of all the partners that she’s going to have because they’re all going to do well because she wouldn’t have it any other way.'
Speaking of Katya’s reaction to their victory he said: 'She was so, so happy and I’m so happy for her. She has literally dragged me through kicking and screaming!'
'We’d had a not very good dress rehearsal in the afternoon. Katya turned to me and said, ‘If we do it like that then there’ll be no glitterballs tonight!’
The star added that he was 'so proud' not only to be the oldest contestant to win, taking the accolade from 2009 winner Chris Hollins, but to be the first ever Scottish person to triumph.

Joe also opened up about the pair's incredible cantilever move, which saw Katya balance Joe's entire bodyweight during their semi-final Argentine Tango to Human’ by Rag 'n’ Bone Man.
He said: 'It was one of those moves that we’re saying, ‘Is this going to be OK?’ In the rehearsal in the afternoon she put heels on for the first time and our balance was all over the place.
'She said, nope, the adrenaline will kick in, we’ll get there. She was right, she’s always right that girl.'
Speaking of their show dance, which included an amazing costume change from Katya, he said: 'That costume change, even though I know how it happened it still blows my mind. It’s like magic in front of your eyes. She’s so good at those iconic moves and bringing the right moves out at the right time.'

Joe said he hopes to keep dancing as a tribute to dance partner Katya's training and work ethic, saying: 'I really hope that I am [going to]. Katya has put in so much work and she really has persevered with me.
'I think it would be a real shame for it just to disappear. At the very least I’m going to go and do some tap classes, a little dance class…”.
Of his future plans, the star, who recently admitted he was 'single and jobless' said: 'That would be nice [to do a West End show]. Maybe a bit of telly now I’ve finished on Holby, it would be nice to just try on some different hats and see if I’m capable of playing any other characters.
'That was the great thing about doing Strictly, it got me a chance to do something other than playing a surgeon on Holby for a while.'

He said: 'There was a little bit of a party Saturday night. The four finalists were all so exhausted; I don’t think we partied very hard. And I of course had the obligatory cold which descended instantly, the second I won.'
He also thanked his fans for their support and keeping him in the competition: 'Everyone’s just been so, so lovely and so supportive. And that’s been from day one – to not be in the dance-off throughout the whole thing!'

His appearance came after it was claimed that Scottish actor David Paisley, 38, made allegations on social media in a now deleted series of posts that he and the former Holby City actor had been involved in an incident had happened in a nightclub,
Sources told the website that Joe had 'vehemently denied' the claims.

Speaking about finding himself out of work, the Strictly star said: 'I'm very optimistic about the future, things are looking up.
'I'm feeling really good and looking forward to having a really good rest over Christmas.
'I’m going to lie in a dark room for about a week and sleep.'

More than 3.1 million viewers tuned in to watch Joe make history on Saturday as he took the age record from the 2009 winner, presenter Chris Hollins, who was 38 when he won.
He scored 39 for both his Viennese Waltz and his showdance, and a perfect 40 for his Charleston, placing him second on the leaderboard, behind Alexandra Burke.
While partner Katya Jones burst into tears as they were crowned champions, an elated Joe whooped in amazement and gushed: 'Oh my goodness. It's completely surreal! I can't believe we did it! Not in a million years did I think we could do it.'

He continued: 'I'm so in awe of everyone who started all those weeks ago. We've become such a tight-knit group and every single one of us are winners. I love them all to bits.'
Turning to Katya, he added: 'This woman is the most amazing woman. Thank you so much for sticking with me and persevering with me and for being the most amazing dancer and counsellor and slave driver. She's amazing, utterly amazing.'
The pair looked at each other in disbelief, with a sobbing Katya rendered unable to speak through her tears. She finally managed to squeal 'We did it!' as Joe responded: 'I don't know how we did it but we did it!'

Despite finding himself out of work, it is unlikely Joe will feel the pinch this Christmas as he is reportedly set to get a whopping £100,000 paycheck for winning the coveted Strictly title, while other contestants may only see £25,000 for their efforts.
According to The Mirror, the basic standard rate for all contestants entering the show is £25,000, which rises to £40,000 if they make it to the end of October.
The hefty sum will then rise by another £20,000 should they make the quarterfinals, taking the total to £60,000
The winner walks away from the competition with an extra £40,000 on top for winning the overall title, finishing the BBC show with £100,000.
