Plot: King Kaiyan and Aberon Hero of Silverhawk set out on a search for a magical tome called the Ledger of fate. Each of these men has a different reason for searching for the tome; Kaiyan for power and Aberon to save his dying son. Aberon seeks to learn whether his son will die in fear that he might, as well as any knowledge that might help save his son. The two men end up meeting and Kaiyan learns of Aberon's hunt for the ledger so he betrays Aberon and beats him to the books however Aberon manages to get there and the two have a battle which results in Kaiyan disappearing and Aberon gains the book.
