About That

About That (Про Ñ?то) is a poem by Vladimir Mayakovsky written during the self-imposed two-months "exile" after a row with Lilya Brik. It was finished on 11 February 1923 and published on 29 March 1923, originally by the LEF magazine. The poem's first separate edition was illustrated by Alexander Rodchenko who in his montages used photographs made by Mayakovsky and Lilya Brik.

History

In summer 1922 Lilya Brik fell in love with Alexander Krasnoshchyokov, the then head of the newly formed Prombank. Mayakovsky was outraged, a quarrel ensued and the terms of the two-month separation have been agreed between the two. As a result, the poet departed to his 'boat-room' at the Lybyansky Lane, 3/6, "banned" from visiting the Briks at their Vodopyany Lane home. There, working for 16-20 hours a day, he wrote About That. On 11 February it was finished. "That was arguably my best poem in terms of the editorial work done upon it," he later wrote in a preface to the compilation This Year's Things.

Meghan Trainor

Meghan Elizabeth Trainor (born December 22, 1993) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Nantucket, Massachusetts, Trainor wrote, recorded, performed and produced three independently-released albums between ages 15 and 17. In 2011, she signed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music, and pursued a career in songwriting.

After signing a record deal with Epic Records in 2014, Trainor rose to fame with the release of major-label debut studio album, Title (2015). The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and produced four top 20 singles: "All About That Bass", "Lips Are Movin", "Dear Future Husband", and "Like I'm Gonna Lose You". Later certified platinum by the RIAA, the record passed one million sales domestically.

Prominently influenced by the 1950s and 1960s eras in music, Trainor's music has been noted for its retro style aesthetic. Common themes in her lyrics include subjects of modern womanhood, body image, and empowerment. Trainor's work has been recognized with several awards and nominations, including the Music Business Association's Breakthrough Artist of the Year accolade and two Billboard Music Awards.

All About That Bass

"All About That Bass" is the debut single by American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor. Released by Epic Records on June 30, 2014, it was recorded for her 2014 debut EP and her 2015 studio album, both named Title. Trainor co-wrote "All About That Bass" with its producer Kevin Kadish; it is a bubblegum pop and doo-wop song that draws influences from various musical genres including R&B, hip hop and country. Lyrically, it discusses positive body image.

"All About That Bass" received favorable reviews from music critics for its melody and vintage sound, though some accused Trainor of anti-feminism for its lyrics. How About That?

How About That?, originally titled Weather and Why, is a Canadian children's science television series which aired on CBC Television from 1953 to 1954.

Premise

This series, hosted by the network's weather presenter Percy Saltzman, featured demonstrations of physics concepts and provided instructions on creating instruments such as rain gauges or anemometers out of common items.

Scheduling

This 15-minute series was broadcast on Tuesdays at 5:15 p.m. (Eastern) from 20 October 1953 until 29 June 1954. The first two weekly episodes were aired under the original title Weather and Why until it was retitled as of 4 November.
