Just as Republicans were patting themselves on the back for passing a $1.5 trillion tax cut through the House, a technical parliamentary ruling is about to force them to vote on it again. The House passed a $1.5 trillion tax cut by a vote of 227-203. The Senate immediately took up the bill. Two small provisions may not meet a parliamentary test. The House will likely have to revote Wednesday morning if as expected the Senate parliamentarian rules a few minor provisions included in the bill were out of order.

In a phone call to Mrs May, the US President confirmed he will press ahead with a 'working visit' to London pencilled in for late February. He will use the trip to open the new US embassy in London, while he is also expected to hold talks with the Prime Minister in Downing Street. But a planned meeting with the Queen will not take place until he makes a full state visit - plans for which are on ice. The President's visit to the UK comes despite a series of public clashes with Mrs May, including a major row last month when the Prime Minister condemned Mr Trump's decision to re-tweet anti-Muslim propaganda from far-Right group Britain First.

The Buffy The Vampire Slayer star, 40, took to Facebook recently to share a photo of a woman who sent her a photo of herself grinning and showing off her engagement ring. Sarah Michelle explained that Charlyn Willis, 28, wanted to text her sister, but entered the wrong number-and amazingly, she unknowingly entered the actress' contact instead. 'This is #CharlynWillis. She got engaged yesterday, and meant to text her sister, but in all the excitement, got me instead,' Sarah Michelle wrote in her Facebook post. 'Her sister didn't respond, but I did. So please help me say congrats, to Charlyn. (And her fiancé whose name I don't know) #congratulations.'

Heather North has died at the age of 71 in Studio City, California after suffering from a long illness. The blonde actress was best known for voicing the character of pretty sleuth Daphne Blake on the popular animated TV series Scooby-Doo. North had time in front of the camera as she starred on the soap opera Days Of Our Lives.

Bill Clinton was once caught by the Secret Service trying to sneak out of the White House to presumably visit a mistress by hiding under a raincoat in the back of his personal lawyer Bruce Lindsey's (together top right) car, claims former Secret Service officer Gary Byrne. The officer refused to let Lindsey past the gate and radioed for backup, according to Byrne's new book Secrets of the Secret Service: The History and Uncertain Future of the US Secret Service, out next month. Byrne claims that Clinton would routinely sneak out to visit his 'well known and less well known mistresses' in Washington DC during his presidency. Royal Caribbean Cruises confirmed that passengers from the Celebrity Equinox and Serenade of the Seas were on the bus that crashed in Mexico, leaving 12 people dead and at least seven Americans injured.

Court records show that on Monday his ex-wife Britta Hanson(right) filed a petition for a protective order against Track. Britta, who is the mother of Track's 6-year-old daughter Kayla (inset right), was granted a short-term order by the judge and will be back in court early next month to try and get a long-term order keeping her ex away from her and possibly their daughter. At the same time, Track's ex Jordan Loewe (left) also filed an emergency motion to change the child custody agreement that is in place between the couple. Track and Jordan are the parents of a son Charlie (inset lft with Sarah), who is almost two.

Los Angeles-based model Lauren Wasser, 29, lost her right leg and toes on her left foot in 2012 after contracting toxic shock syndrome from a tampon, leading to gangrene in her feet (inset). She revealed she will 'inevitably' lose her other leg in the coming months because bone grows where her toes once were making it unbearable to walk. She now sports a golden prosthetic leg (right) as her modeling career has flourished and is an advocate, raising awareness about the dangers of tampons to women and young girls.

Jayzon Decker, 17, admitted in an adult court on Tuesday to plotting the death of Deserae Turner when she was shot in the back of the head in Smithfield, Utah earlier this year. His victim, who was left partially paralyzed and still has bullet fragments lodged in her skull, cried in court as she listened to the medical challenges she was left facing as a result of the incident. The court heard that Decker and his friend Colin Peterson had lured Deserae to a canal in February under the guise of selling her a pocket knife. The boys had plotted to 'get rid of' her after growing tired of her social media messages.

A woman who dated T.J. Miller (top right, performing stand-up comedy in June) in college told the Daily Beast in a report published Tuesday that he sexually assaulted her on two occasions. The accuser, referred to as 'Sarah', said Miller punched her when they were having sex in the fall of 2001. A few days later, she says he choked her and penetrated her with a beer bottle. Sarah reported the incidents to administrators at George Washington University about a year later. Sources say Miller was expelled from the Washington, DC school. Miller and his wife (left, in July), who he also met at GW, denied the claim in a joint statement. The Millers said that Sarah devised the story as a way to try and break them up. Miller is perhaps best known for starring in the hit HBO show Silicon Valley (far right, bottom right image) until he unexpectedly quit the series in May.

Silent movie mogul Fatty Arbuckle (pictured top inset) was accused of assaulting a young actress named Virginia Rappe (pictured right) at the St Francis Hotel in San Francisco in 1921 (main). Rappe died from a ruptured bladder, believed to have been a result of Arbuckle crushing her during the alleged assault. Smear campaigns were launched against both parties - and three manslaughter trials of Arbuckle ended with him being acquitted, and in a rare move, was issued an apology by the jury.

New details are emerging about the married Canadian couple who were found dead inside their multi-million dollar Toronto home last week. Sources close to the investigation tell the Toronto Sun that billionaire businessman Barry Sherman ad his philanthropist wife Honey were discovered hanging from a railing next to their indoor pool with men's leather belts wrapped around their necks. A nearby security camera which could have shown the couple's final moments was disabled shortly before their death according to those same sources, making it unclear if the deaths were a suicide, murder-suicide or if the couple was killed in a double murder.

Roy Moore's wife dedicated an anti-Muslim, pro-medical marijuana song titled 'Pissed Off Rednecks' to her husband on social media. In a December 15th message posted to her Facebook page and shared to the Friends of Roy Moore account, Kayla Moore wrote that she is dedicating the song by singer Jamie Jones to her husband. 'HERE'S A SONG DEDICATED TO OUR FAVORITE JUDGE FROM ALABAMA !!! ROY MOORE DOES STAND HIS GROUND AND DON'T BACK DOWN TO NO POLITICAL PRESSURE AND EVE. NOW FROM WASHINGTON AND THE LIBERAL FAKE NEWS MEDIA!!!!' the Republican Senate candidate's wife wrote. The former Alabama chief justice lost the Senate election last week to Democrat Doug Jones by an estimated 20,000 votes. Moore, who was accused of having improper sexual contact with teen girls in the 1970s, has not conceded to Jones.

The Fifty Shades Darker star, 28, cut a chic figure as she made her way through departures in a pair of leopard print boots and a tailored coat, as she and the Coldplay singer appeared to arrive using the same security escort. 

Cat Person by Kristen Roupenian was published in the December 11 issue of the New Yorker and thousands of women have since shared it online. Kim Jong-hyun, 27, who was found unconscious in an flat in Seoul, left behind a suicide note where he detailed that he had been 'engulfed entirely' by depression and loneliness. Kim's close friend, musician Nain9, released the suicide note on her Instagram account, saying he had asked her to publish the message in the event of his death. Today, fans gathered at a mourning altar in Seoul, with dozens of teenagers and young adults breaking down in tears as they paid their respects to their idol.

Abby, a tiny Maltese, has traveled all over the world with just one eye. Weighing just five pounds, she had emergency surgery to remove her right eye at two years old after a play fight with another dog left it bleeding and infected. The adorable puppy joined her owners, April Smith, 60 and husband of 32 years, Larry, 61, on a 12-month trip last summer which took them 5,600 miles from Alabama to New York, the Bahamas and Canada. The retired couple live on a boat called The One Eye Dog, named after their pet, and are cruising around the world with their precious Abby.

The lion is usually the top of the food chain in any safari park but for this vulnerable lioness who has been separated from her pride it is her who has become the hunted. The emaciated and injured big cat is launched into the air by the buffalo who is standing guard over his nearby herd. Without warning, he charges at the cat and launches her into the air. Field guide Bathabile Shakwane, 22, estimated that the lioness would have perished later that day due to starvation and exhaustion. The remarkable encounter was caught on video in the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

A long-haired Dachshund named Brady is nervous for bath time. A video shows Brady's owner holding his paw as the water runs over his body. Brady just needed emotional support from his owner Chris and then was okay and even started enjoying his bath. Brady and Chris live in Irvine, California.

This is the awkward moment a television anchor in east China panicked during a live show when a bee landed on his face.
