And Anna Friel set pulses racing as Erica Myles once again on Sunday, as she stripped to just her black lace lingerie in the new episode of The Girlfriend Experience.

The actress, 41, was seen staggering around her living room in nothing but a plunging bra and lace briefs as her character got a little worse for wear, following a heavy session of drinking.

During the episode, Erica was struggling to contain a major professional scandal from her colleagues.

With the scandal threatening to take away not only her professional credibility but also her freedom, Erica found herself in disarray - and sought comfort in booze.

However, things soon get awry when her heavy session of drinking got out of hand, and she ended up missing work altogether.

The drama has become known for its racy sex scenes - with the two lead characters embarking on a steamy romp on the sofa during last week's episode.

Discussing the scenes with Metro.us, Friel urged audiences to look beyond the sexual scenes at the drama taking place away from the sheets.

She said: 'We’ve got to concentrate on it as a piece of work. I've never really had an issue with nudity as long as I didn't ever feel like I was made to do it or thought that it was salacious.

'But if you're dealing with something where you know that sex is going to be involved, it's something that we really shouldn't shy away from.'
