4-Skins & Infa Riot - Live And Loud

Two great UK punk Oi bands in this split CD live album... The 4-Skins are a working class Oi! punk rock band from the East End of London, England. Originally composed of Gary Hodges (vocals), 'Hoxton' Tom McCourt (guitar), Steve 'H' Hamer (bass) and Gary Hitchcock (drums), they formed in 1979 and disbanded in 1984 – although new line-ups formed in 2007 and 2008. Many of their songs dealt with violent topics, but the band has claimed they were discussing the realities of inner city life, not promoting violence. Other 4-Skins song topics include police harassment, political corruption, war and unemployment.

Sham 69 - Live In Japan

Sham 69 are an English punk band that formed in Hersham in 1975.

Youth Brigade - 4 álbuns

Youth Brigade was formed at the end of summer 1980 in Los Angeles, amid the explosion of the punk scene in Southern California, by brothers Shawn,Mark and Adam Stern. The brothers Stern have established YOUTH BRIGADE as one of the most powerful, independent groups in North America over the course of their 7 odd years of existence. The basic philosophy of the band is the “youth” is an attitude, not an age and that every generation has the responsibility to change what they feel is wrong in the world. Unfortunately, it seems that many people either forget or grow weary of this responsibility as they get older in years, so the band feels it is really important that every new generation
realize this responsibility and act upon it. It is with these ideals in mind that the band was started, and the eldest brothers Shawn and Mark formed the Better Youth Organization in ‘79. The BYO is dedicated to promoting alternative music, art and other creative endeavors in a completely independent manner. They started off promoting shows,(They ran the infamous Godzilla’s night club!), started BYO Records in 1982 (which has released 25 records to date and become one of the strongest and most respected indy labels in the world), set up tours for many bands, (including the first BYO tour which was done in a big school bus and documented on 60 hours of video tape to become the movie
“Another State of Mind”) as well as many other projects too numerous to mention.

Welt (2001) Brand New Dream

Formed in 1993, punk popsters Welt hail from Sacramento, CA. Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, founding member and main songwriter Jason Cooper (bass/vocals) has remained a constant fixture. Signing with the independent (and now defunct) Dr. Dream label shortly after Welt's formation, a series of singles were issued, as well as the full-lengths Better Days in 1995, Kicked in the Teeth in 1996, and Broke Down in 1998, during which time the band relocated to Orange County, CA. By the late '90s, Welt's permanent lineup became solidified, consisting of the ever-present Cooper, guitarists Tobe Bean and Todd Harper, plus drummer Marc Harrismendy. 2001 saw Welt's first release for the Better Youth Record Co., Brand New Dream. ~~ by Greg Prato

S.O.D. (2005) Speak English Or Die (Platinum Edition) (Request!!)

Stormtroopers of Death, known as S.O.D., was a crossover thrash band formed in New York in 1985. They are credited as being among the first bands to fuse hardcore punk with thrash metal into a style sometimes called crossover thrash. The song "March of the S.O.D.," from their 1985 debut album, was the Headbanger's Ball intro anthem for many years.
The band had some controversy due to the deliberately racist and misogynist lyrics. Bassist Dan Lilker stated: "The lyrics were never intended to be serious, just to piss people off." According to singer Milano, the 24-song extended "EP" of live and unreleased material called Rise of the Infidels, released in August 2007 on Megaforce Records, is the final release by the band. Milano said, "(the EP) will finally be the last of S.O.D.," laying to rest rumors of another S.O.D. reunion.

Toy Dolls (1995) Orcastrated (Request!!)

The Toy Dolls are an English punk rock band formed in 1979. Departing from the angry lyrics and music often associated with punk rock, The Toy Dolls worked within the aesthetics of punk to express a sense of fun, with songs such as "Yul Brynner Was a Skinhead", "My Girlfriend's Dad's a Vicar" and "James Bond Lives Down Our Street." There is often alliteration in their song titles (e.g. "Peter Practice's Practice Place", "Fisticuffs in Frederick Street", "Neville Is a Nerd"). They are probably best known however for their sole UK hit, a punk-rock cover of "Nellie the Elephant".

The Oppressed - Fight For Your LIfe, The Best Of The Oppressed

The Oppressed is a Welsh anti-fascist Oi! band that formed in 1981 in Cardiff. Most of the musicians in the band's various lineups were skinheads. Throughout the band's career, the members (especially vocalist Roddy Moreno) openly expressed opposition to racism and fascism — in their lyrics, interviews, on-stage comments and other actions. In 1989, Moreno visited New York City and met a few members of Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (SHARP). On his return to the United Kingdom, he started promoting SHARP ideals to British skinheads. The band has also had ties to other anti-racist groups, such as Anti-Fascist Action. Moreno is a Cardiff City F.C. supporter, and some of the band's songs express that support.
The band has split and re-formed several times. Their more recent split was in 2006, but they re-formed in 2009, and continue performing today.

The Testors (2003) Complete Recordings '76-'79 (Updated!!)

The Testors were formed by Sonny Vincent in New York City 1975 at the heart of what became punk rock as we know it today. They were loud, raw as fuck, and didn't give a shit about anybody but themselves. While contemporaries the Ramones, Blondie, and the Heartbreakers were making history, The Testors were lighting clubs on fire, going to jail, and Sonny eventually was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Along the way they were regulars at CBGBs, Max's Kansas City and shared the stage with the likes of Suicide, The Cramps, and the Dead Boys.

The Business (1995) The Complete Singles Collection

The band was formed in 1979 by school friends Steven ('Steve') Kent (guitar), Michael Fitzsimons ('Micky Fitz') (vocals), Nicholas ('Nick') Cunningham (drums) and Martin Smith (bass). They played their first gig in front of friends in February 1980, and after taking on Lol Pryor as manager, began performing more often. The band's first release was the song "Out in the Cold" on the A Sudden Surge of Sound compilation album. They played their first Oi! concert in 1981, supporting The 4-Skins, and they became closely associated with the Oi! scene from then on. While the Oi! movement was wrongly labelled as far right and racist (despite the fact that several Oi! bands played at Rock Against Racism concerts), The Business took a stance against political extremism with their Oi Against Racism and Political Extremism ...But Still Against The System tour.

SNFU (1986) If You Swear, You'll Catch No Fish

Considered by many to be the band's finest release, If You Swear, You'll Catch No Fish deservedly ranks high on many all-time punk lists. Core members Mr. Chi Pig on vocals and brothers Brent "Bunt" and Mark "Muc" Welke (providing a literal twin-guitar attack) are joined on this, their second full-length disc by a rhythm section consisting of Ted Simm (drums) and Dave Bacon (bass). Released in 1986 on the Better Youth Organization (BYO) imprint, If You Swear, You'll Catch No Fish contains many classic SNFU cuts like "Forgot" and "Better Homes and Gardens." The skate punkers pick up where fellow Canadians the Subhumans left off and take extra U.S. North American hardcore to new extremes with their slapshot-fast material and thick guitars. Mr. Chi Pig takes on some serious issues, including Alzheimer's disease ("I Forgot") and the cold war's nuclear threat ("Black Cloud"), while the guitarists Welke use pop, metal, and hardcore power-chording to create their band's unique sound and vision. Despite or perhaps because of the more polished and focused approach on later SNFU releases, If You Swear, You'll Catch No Fish holds up and holds on to it's lofty skate punk status, due mostly to its naïve but earnest purity. ~~ Vincent Jeffries

SNFU (1984) ...And No One Else Wanted to Play

SNFU is a Canadian hardcore punk band formed in Edmonton in 1981 and later relocated to Vancouver. They have released ten full-length albums and are cited as a formative influence on the skate punk sub-genre. The band came to fruition amid the inchoate Canadian hardcore punk scene of the early 1980s. Coupling horrific and occasionally humorous lyrical imagery with a dynamic punk sound, their 1985 debut album ...And No One Else Wanted to Play has remained influential. The group expanded its audience and style through two further studio albums.

The Generators have been at the forefront of the Los Angeles punk scene since 1997, and were recently mentioned by one of Americas leading news publications, the USA Today as one of Americas most under rated punk bands.
When the punk scene in Los Angeles was being recognized across the globe vocalist Doug “Dagger” Kane was one of the young familiar faces in the picture. Frequenting all the early Punk clubs like The Vex, The Cathay De Grande, and Godzilla’s, a then 16 year old Dagger joined in on the action, and started singing for his first punk band Doug &The Slugz. In 1983 The Slugz were documented as one of America’s first OI! Street punk bands, and on any typical night they were opening up for other notorious punk acts like The Abandoned, Ill Repute, Mad Parade, and the Flower Leopards.

The Kent 3 (2001) Spells @VBR

Bellingham, WA, group the Kent 3 offer blast upon blast of frenetic, nervy pop-punk on Spells. The trio seems to draw equally on the garage frenzy of '60s Northwest predecessors such as the Sonics and late-'70s/early-'80s art punk. "Bellingham" is equal doses of muscular, quick-stop guitars and hoarse-throated fury, while "The Changeling," with its choppy, angular vocal line, lands midway between the artier side of '70s punk and early works by the Jam. On the sunny side of things, the amiable, rolling beach punk of "15 Days" recalls the Queers at their best, while the friendly, upbeat "Man in a Woman's Body" revels in '60s-style sugar pop (in this way calling to mind the Ramones and the aforementioned Queers). Perhaps the only misstep is the ominous and spooky (in a silly way) "The Pines." Many would-be punkers of the '90s and beyond seem ill-versed in punk history, not realizing how varied their chosen genre's terrain can be. Not so for this band, who has created a high-energy and diverse punk-scape with Spells. This record is both arse-kicking and a lot of fun. ~~ Erik Hage

The GC5 (2003) Kisses From Hanoi & Horseshoes And Handgrenades @VBR

The GC5 (Grady Coffee Five) was a punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 1997 and who split in 2003. The GC5 provided a political charge to their music comparable to that of The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers. Lyrics included themes of social and political discontent, leftist politics, and the struggle of the working class. In 2000, The GC5 released their debut album Kisses From Hanoi, and in 2001, the band released the EP Horseshoes and Handgrenades. In 2002, the band released the album Never Bet the Devil Your Head. While most definitely presenting the sound of the streetpunk genre, the album was noted for not relying on the street fighting, hard-drinking themes that overruns many of the genre's songs. In 2003, Thick Records re-released their two albums Kisses From Hanoi (which was out of print) and Horseshoes and Handgrenades (which was originally only available as an import) on one CD. It was the final release from the band. After splitting up Doug and Dave formed Motel Blonde together with Ryan Foltz, who just left the Dropkick Murphys. Motel Blonde didn't last long and broke up in March 2004. Doug then joined Rosavelt on the bass guitar, and formed Doug McKean & The Stuntmen a year later. Dave is now playing with The Magpies.

Redd Kross (1982) Born Innocent @VBR

Redd Kross have always been too good, too perfect, too true, to believe. Mythic. Could this tuneful hardcore punk EP really be the work of a brother band with the 15-year-old on vocals and guitar and the 11-year-old on bass? Did Redd Kross really open for Black Flag? Could Jeff and Steve really have been born and raised in the Beach Boys’ hometown of Hawthorne, California, and did Jeff really see the Beatles live in 1966? Did one of them, dressed in Gene Simmons makeup, really kill a Bruce Springsteen impersonator onstage? Is that really their hair? Could Researching the Blues, their first studio album in 15 years, be not just the hottest thing since Cher went solo but the best start-to-finish Redd Kross record ever?

Nekromantix (2002) Return Of The Loving Dead @VBR

The Nekromantix are a Danish-American psychobilly band formed in 1989 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Their music is generally structured around monster and horror themes. A central icon of the band's image is founder and frontman Kim Nekroman's "coffinbass", a custom-built double bass with a body in the shape of a coffin and a headstock the shape of a cross. Nekroman has been the sole constant member of the band, the rest of the current lineup consisting of guitarist Franc and drummer Lux.
The Nekromantix released five albums on various European record labels during their first decade, then crossed over to American audiences in the early 2000s by signing to Los Angeles-based Hellcat Records, through which they have released three albums since 2002. Monster Trux (2002) Grind @VBR

Chicago based skate-punk band from US... amazing stuff!! Monster Trux's debut Grind is so retro that it's downright refreshing: in an age of cookie-cutter mall-punk bands like Sum 41 and blink-182, Monster Trux are pure '80s style skate punk along the lines of the early Gang Green or NOFX, with just a little of the pop culture brattiness of Born Innocent-era Redd Kross thrown in. Silly but not juvenile (the jokes are mostly along the lines of "Pool Shark," a goofy instrumental raveup based on the theme from Jaws) and filled with capable two-minute blasts of ramalama -- the opening "Svengoolie" and the blistering "Bones Brigade" resemble the Queers and early Clash, respectively -- that marry melody and attitude in equal parts, Grind is a solid first effort. Most encouragingly, Monster Trux understand the value of brevity; even with the endlessly extended, metal-tinged closer "Monster Show" appended, the whole album is over in a brisk half-hour. ~ Stewart Mason

Natives of New York City, band members have a well-documented history of back-and-forth conflict with the NYPD which precedes the band's formation.[1] The name "Leftöver Crack" is explained by Stza as being "an oxymoron", based on the idea that crack cocaine addicts are known for vigorous use, and are unlikely to have any "leftover" crack.

Guttermouth is a Huntington Beach, California punk rock band. They were formed in 1988 in California when Mark Adkins left La Habra punk band Republic to join Eric "derek" Davis's band Critical Noise. Critical Noise drummer Tim Baulch came up with the name Guttermouth for the newly merged members. After one year, Adkins and Davis relocated the band from La Habra California to Huntington Beach California where new members Clint Weinrich, James T. Nunn, & Scott Sheldon joined Guttermouth. A feew years after their inception, Guttermouth signed a recording contract with Offspring lead singer Bryan Dexter Holland's Nitro Records, and began issuing albums at a breakneck pace, including 1996's Teri Yakimoto, 1997's Musical Monkey, and 1999's Gorgeous, the latter featuring new drummer Ty Smith. By the dawn of the new millennium, Guttermouth had switched to Epitaph Records in 2000, and issued further releases such as 2001's Covered With Ants, 2002's Gusto! and 2004's Eat Your Face.

Charged GBH, commonly known as GBH, are an English street punk band, formed in 1978 by vocalist Colin Abrahall, guitarist Colin "Jock" Blyth, bassist Sean McCarthy and Drummer Andy "Wilf" Williams. GBH were early pioneers of English street punk, often nicknamed "UK82", along with Discharge, Broken Bones, The Exploited and The Varukers. They have gone on to influence several punk rock musicians. -FRANK BLACK - ('00) Oddballs

Originally released in 2000 as a tour album, Frank Black's odds and ends compilation, Odd Balls, was reissued in 2013 on Black's own label, The Bureau. Previously only available physically at shows, this re-release helps make the ironically rare rarities collection more accessible, giving fans a chance to dig into this collection of b-Dides and outtakes from the Pixies frontman's solo output.~~ by Gregory Heaney
