OpenVRT asks another 3D illustrator every month to design their header. They're a creative lab working in media. They also organise events and workshops for young creative adults interested in innovation.
De Morgen is a Belgian paper that publishes an extra magazine about culture every Friday. Every week, they ask another Belgian designer to create a conceptual cover about the featured article. My cover was about 'Authenticity in art', and how we all want it but rarely appreciate it.
I was free to choose the concept, style and colours. The cover only had to contain the words 'echt?' ('real?'). Thanks to this article, I also got to know the beautiful works of Tjalf Sparnaay, questioning authenticity in his crazy detailed realistic paintings. The fried egg in my cover is a reference to his egg painting.
Eline hosted a pop-up shop at the most famous shopping street of Antwerp (Meir) and asked me to design a sweater for the occasion, based on her cute dog Odette who is also the mascotte of the brand.
