Shōbu, Saitama

Shōbu (菖蒲町, Shōbu-machi) was a town located in Minamisaitama District, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 21,837 and a density of 797.84 persons per km². The total area was 27.67 km². Shobu is well-known among other parts of Saitama for housing the large shopping complex Mallage, which is a source of shopping and enjoyment for many of Shobus' citizens, and has put Shobu on the map. There is a large road, Ken-O expressway which is being built through Shobu at this present time. The famous conservationist, Honda Seiroku, who designed many of Japan's city and National parks was born in Shobu.

On March 23, 2010, Shōbu, along with the towns of Kurihashi and Washimiya (both from Kitakatsushika District), was merged into the expanded city of Kuki.

At Shōbu, there was Shobu-Kuki transmitter, one of the largest stations for AM and shortwave broadcasting in Japan.

Shobu Yarlagadda

Shobu Yarlagadda (born 19 March 1971) is an Indian film producer. He is the co-founder and CEO of Arka Mediaworks, a film production company known for its works exclusively in Telugu cinema. In 2015, Shobhu produced Baahubali: The Beginning, which recorded the highest grossing opening for an Indian film. Touted to be the most expensive Indian film, the film was featured in the BBC's documentary on 100 Years of Indian cinema.

Early life

Shobu Yarlagadda is the son-in-law of veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao. Shobhu was Born in Gudivada in Krishna District. He graduated in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Andhra University in 1992. He went on to Texas A&M and graduated in Agricultural Engineering in 1995. For over an year and the half, he worked as an Air Resources Engineer in Greater Los Angeles Area for California Air Resources Board. In 2001 he established Arka Mediaworks with Prasad Devineni.

Career

In 2001, he established Arka Mediaworks; Arka means sunrays in Sanskrit. It produces television content in six languages (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Oriya, Bangla and Marathi). He has worked as line producer for films such as Morning Raaga, and Anaganaga O Dheerudu. He was Executive Producer for films such as Bobby and Pandurangadu

Wii Menu

The Wii Menu (known internally as the System Menu) is the graphical shell of the Wii game console, as part of the Wii system software. It has four pages, each with a 4:3 grid, and each displaying the current time and date. Available applications, known as "channels", are displayed and can be navigated using the pointer capability of the Wii Remote. The grid is customizable; users can move channels (except for the Disc Channel) amongst the menu's 47 customizable slots by pressing and holding the A and B button while hovering over the channel the user wants to move. By pressing the plus and minus buttons on the Wii Remote users can scroll across accessing empty slots.

Homebrew Channel

The Homebrew Channel, commonly abbreviated as HBC, is a freeware homebrew application loader that was developed to provide a way of easily running unofficial software on the Wii console. Once installed, it appears as a standard Wii Channel on the Wii Menu. When launched, it displays a list of applications found on an SD card or a USB drive. The user then can control and select an application to launch by using a Wii Remote or the GameCube controller. It also accepts application uploads via a USB Gecko or TCP/IP (over Wi-Fi or Ethernet), which allows for quick application testing during development. When first launched from the Wii Menu, the Homebrew Channel will check for updates to itself and automatically download them if the user chooses to do so.

Rana Daggubati

Rana Daggubati is an Indian film actor, producer, Visual Effects co-ordinator,and photographer known for his works in Telugu cinema and Bollywood. As a Visual Effects producer, Rana won the State Nandi Award for Best Special Effects in 2006 for the Telugu film Sainikudu starring Mahesh Babu. In 2006, he received the National Film Award for co-producing Bommalata – A Bellyful of Dreams.

In 2010, he made his acting debut with the Telugu blockbuster Leader, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. He received critical acclaim for his performance in the 2012 crime thriller film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. In 2015, he starred as the main antagonist in Baahubali: The Beginning, which recorded the highest gross opening for an Indian film.

Early life

Rana was born on 14 December 1984, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to Telugu film producer Daggubati Suresh Babu. His paternal grandfather was D. Ramanaidu, a famous film producer who was conferred with the third highest civilian award in the Republic of India, the Padma Bhushan, in recognition for his contribution to Telugu cinema. His paternal uncle Venkatesh and his cousin Naga Chaitanya are also actors in Telugu Cinema.
