Ann Parker may refer to:
Cynthia Ann Parker, or Naduah (also spelled "Nadua" and "Nauta") (c. 1825 – March 1871) was an American of European descent who was kidnapped in 1836, at the age of about ten (possibly as young as 8 or already over 11 – her birth year is uncertain), by a Comanche war band, who had massacred her family's settlement. Her Comanche name means "someone found" or "keeps warm with us". She was adopted by the Comanche and lived with them for 24 years, completely forgetting her American ways. She married a Comanche chieftain, Peta Nocona, and had three children with him, including the last free Comanche chief, Quanah Parker. At approximately age 34, she was finally recaptured by the Texas Rangers, but spent the remaining ten years of her life refusing to adjust to life in white society. At least once she escaped and tried to return to her Comanche family and children, but was again brought back to Texas. She found it difficult to understand her iconic status to the nation, which saw her as having been redeemed from the Comanches. Heartbroken over the loss of her family, she stopped eating and died of influenza in 1871.

Cynthia is a feminine given name of Greek origin: Κυνθία, Kynthía, "from Mount Cynthus" on Delos island. It can be abbreviated as Cindy or as Cyndy. There are various spellings for this name.
Cynthia was originally an epithet of the Greek goddess of the moon, Artemis, who according to legend, was born on Mount Cynthus. Selene, the Greek personification of the Moon, and the Roman Diana (by way of their identification with Artemis) were also sometimes called "Cynthia".

Cynthia Ann Parker, mother of Quanah Parker the last Chief of the Comanche Nation was wearing the robe now on display at the Comanche National Museum when she was taken by Texas Rangers. This robe is of great significance to the descendants of Quanah Parker ( and obviously descendants of Cynthia Ann Parker) who were given the opportunity to see the robe now on display before the museum unveiled the robe to the public. KSWO reporter Scott Miller has the story.
In December 1860, along a creek in northwest Texas, a group of U.S. Cavalry under Sgt. John Spangler and Texas Rangers led by Sul Ross raided a Comanche hunting camp, killed several Indians, and took three prisoners. One was the woman they would identify as Cynthia Ann Parker, taken captive from her white family as a child a quarter century before. This program provides new information about Cynthia Ann's capture at the Pease River. Program presented bu Paul Carlson and Tom Crum. Mr. Carlson is a retired professor of history and has been active in several Texas historical societies. His research concentrates on ranching, frontier life, the military and Indian affairs. Mr. Crum is a retired state district judge and a past president of the West Texas Historical Association.
