Funktion One is the second (after Turbosound) company driven by them. Ann joined Tony (and John) after their left Turbosound and for the first ten years of not releasing any products. About 2000 the Resolution series has appeared on the market...

Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in the mid- to late 1960s when African American musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of soul music, jazz, and rhythm and blues (R&B). Funk de-emphasizes melody and harmony and brings a strong rhythmic groove of electric bass and drums to the foreground. Funk songs are often based on an extended vamp on a single chord, distinguishing them from R&B and soul songs, which are built on complex chord progressions. Funk uses the same extended chords found in bebop jazz, such as minor chords with added sevenths and elevenths, or dominant seventh chords with altered ninths.
Like much African-inspired music, funk typically consists of a complex groove with rhythm instruments such as electric guitar, electric bass, Hammond organ, and drums playing interlocking rhythms. Funk bands sometimes have a horn section of several saxophones, trumpets, and in some cases, a trombone, which plays rhythmic "hits". Funk originated in the mid-1960s, with James Brown's development of a signature groove that emphasized the downbeat—with heavy emphasis on the first beat of every measure, funky bass lines, drum patterns, and syncopated guitar riffs. Other musical groups, including Sly & the Family Stone and Parliament-Funkadelic, soon began to adopt and develop Brown's innovations. While much of the written history of funk focuses on men, there have been notable funk women, including Chaka Khan, Labelle, Brides of Funkenstein, Klymaxx, Mother's Finest, and Betty Davis.

Funktion One is the second (after Turbosound) company driven by them. Ann joined Tony (and John) after their left Turbosound and for the first ten years of not releasing any products. About 2000 the Resolution series has appeared on the market...
"Tony and John, who were also responsible for founding Turbosound in the 1970s, are accredited with several generations of revolutionary loudspeaker designs including the TMS-3, Flashlight and Floodlight systems. They are widely known for their pioneering work and ethos which established many of the principles which subsequently became standard audio industry practice. Whilst often imitated their designs have not been surpassed and have been the first choice of many permanent and touring sound applications around the World.

In the first of our streams live and direct from Miami 2014, we welcome Drumcode label head Adam Beyer and Joseph Capriati to play an exclusive b2b set from the Adoré offices, home to our Lab Miami.
Their back to back concept started via an impromptu set at the annual Drumcode event at Berghain in 2011, one of those classic sessions that went all day. Since then they've been playing very selective clubs and festivals as a b2b act including two eight hour sets at Golden Gate, Metropolis in Capriati's hometown of Naples, Awakenings NYE 2013 and BPM Festival at the start of this year.
The pair have just announced a mini b2b tour across Europe for April playing Solar Easter in Sofia, Awakenings at Amsterdam's Gashouder, ZigZag club in Paris and ending in the place where it all begun, Berghain. Each venue has been chosen to provide the perfect backdrop for the pair's extended big room techno sets.

AudioFire. South African Producer & DJ based in East London, England. From a young age, AudioFire has been connected to music, he knew after his first clubbing experience in Bar Do-Me, Cape Town, that being part of the dance music scene was his future. With the 90’s underground scene taking off in South Africa, AudioFire, DJ'd at well established clubs around Cape Town, such as Delight, Nexus, G-spot and The Funktion. The vibe was fresh and left an everlasting impression. Gaining his first experiences as a club DJ in his hometown, he knew that to develop himself further and take on bigger challenges he would need to go where the music was truly cutting edge, London. It is here that he moved through various genres and grew his network of friends and fans, performing at venues such as, Scala, Mass, Camden Palace, Rocket Club to name a few and held down residencies at the Viaduct in Vauxhall and a small but always packed club in London Bridge. Not content with settling down just to DJ he decided to take things to the next level and focussed on learning music production at the prestigious Point Blank music academy. After a two year intensive course focused on sound design, composition, engineering, production and the art of mixing, he graduated with a diploma and since then he has been working tirelessly composing tracks, remixes and collaborating with a wide array of artists shaping his characteristic sound. His first two releases featured on an album for Deckajam (an electronica band from UK rave scene and household name Kevin Energy) and his original track "All of the lights" was remixed by the very talented Michael Stonebank Monstercat, A.K.A. Rocket Pimp. Other remixes include, 'Serena Ryder - Stompa' and 'Tibby Young - Dance to the beat'. Fast forward 20 years to Origin festival, South Africa 2015. As a personal guest of global trance legend Sonic Species, it was here where he fell in love with the PSY Trance scene, from the promoters to the artists, the people and of course the music, he now dedicates his time to writing and producing trance and has created the act we all now know as AudioFire. How does life enter into the formal structure of works of art and literature? How do those works enter into the life of their own and future times?
All works of art encode histories of longing or derision. These histories are easily forgotten. If a work is sufficiently powerful and compelling, it survives the forgetting, intriguing or moving its audiences in ways that the artist who created the work in the first place could only have dimly apprehended. This capacity to survive amnesia is part of art’s fascination.
New historicism emerged from a desire to investigate the lost or hidden circumstances that governed a work’s creation and that may, even when now forgotten, have left their marks. It emerged as well from an interest in the cultural and historical motives that condition the investigation in the present.

Im Film äußern sich führende Experten aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Pädagogik zu den Funktionen der vieldiskutierten Symbole wie Tod, Sterben und Leiden im Computerspiel. Was begeistert an der Thematik Tod? Welche Rolle spielt der Tod in unseren Kulturgütern? Wo liegen die Unterschiede der Darstellungen in den einzelnen Spielformen? Ist die Präsentation von Gewalt eine Art Theaterinszenierung? Was ist die Funktion des Symbols Tod im Spiel?
Die Dokumentation stellt Expertenmeinungen und Spielszenen gegenüber und nimmt eine emanzipatorische und kulturoptimistische Sichtweise im Umgang mit gewalthaltigen Darstellungen im Computerspiel ein. Ziel ist, zum gemeinsamen Dialog zwischen Spielern und Nicht-Spielern beizutragen, Einblick in die Perspektive der Spieler zu erlangen, Öffentlichkeit für eine differenzierte Auseinandersetzung zu sensibilisieren und Spieler zu Reflektion ihres Spielhandelns aufzurufen.
Anmerkung der Regie:
Der Film wagt sich an die unmögliche Vermittlung von Spielenden und Nicht-Spielenden hinsichtlich der Gewaltwirkungsdiskussion. Unmöglich bleibt dies Unterfangen deshalb, weil eine reine Deskription keinen Ersatz für das spielerische Erleben liefern kann. Erst im Spiel entfalten die verwendeten Symbole ihre Wirkung, erfüllen ihre Funktion, fallen ggf. auf, stoßen ab oder entlarven sich selbst und zerstören so vielleicht die sensible Balance zwischen spielerischer Interaktion und theatraler Inszenierung.
Den sachlichen Argumenten der Experten und Expertinnen werden im Film emotionale Ausschnitte entgegengestellt. Bewusst haben sich die Filmemacher dazu überwiegend auf Ausschnitte aus Trailern konzentriert. Diese Ausschnitte geben wohl am ehesten den Flow der Spielenden wieder (bzw. stellen ihn im Ansatz dar). Eben diese Oberfläche ist es jedoch, die Nicht-Spielende ohne ludische Wirkung aufnehmen. Die Zuschauer des Films sind daher dazu aufgerufen, die Aussagen der ExpertInnen mit den Emotionen der Bilder abzugleichen.
Es wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass der Film sich als Diskussionsgrundlage versteht und nicht ohne medienpädagogische Begleitung didaktisch eingesetzt werden sollte! Zudem erhielt der Film eine Alterskennzeichnung USK 16 die im pädagogischen Einsatz zu berücksichtigen ist.
Hier dient der Film im Sinne des Creative Commons einer breiten öffentlichen Zugänglichkeit und will so einen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung leisten.

✒ INFORMATIONEN SPEZIELL ZU DIESER FOLGE:
Nach einer kurzen Tour durch Rosaltstadt treffen wir Maike auf Route 103 und kämpfen gegen sie. Obwohl Geckarbor im Nachteil gegen ihr Flemmli ist, können wir gewinnen! Professor Birk ist über unseren Sieg gegen seine Tochter erstaunt und stattet uns mit dem Pokédex aus. Maike wiederum schenkt uns Pokébälle, damit wir unsere ersten Pocketmonster fangen können. Von der Abenteuerlust gepackt, wollen wir nun aufbrechen, um die Vielzahl an Arten von Pokémon zu erforschen, verabschieden uns von unserer Mutter und bekommen von Maike noch eine nützliche neue Funktion, den Pokédex-Navi hinterhergeschmissen. Damit lassen sich die Pokémon auf einer Route aufspüren und sogar Details wie Level, Fähigkeit und seltene Attacken sind vor dem Fangen bereits einsehbar. Krass! Weiter geht's auf Route 102.

Vor 12 Jahren erschienen ""Pokémon Saphir"" und ""Pokémon Rubin"" in Japan und läuteten die 3. Generation der Pocket-Monster-Reihe ein. Damals auf dem neuen Gameboy Advance! Heute erscheinen die Spiele erneut - als atemberaubendes Remake für den Nintendo 3DS. ""Pokémon Alpha Saphir"" und ""Pokémon Omega Rubin"" sehen nicht nur grafisch grandios aus und machen musikalisch was her, sie wurden auch von Entwickler GAME FREAK mit den Neuerungen der 4-6. Generation von Pokémon plus neuen Ideen verbessert. Zusammen machen wir uns erneut in der Region-Hoenn auf die Reise, auf der Suche nach starken Pokémon und dem Pokémon Liga Champion-Titel. Auf unserer Reise werden wir auf viele Legenden und böse Menschen wie die von Team Aqua & Team Magma stoßen, aber auch Freunde wie Troy und Maike finden und mit ihnen unvergessliche Tage verbringen.

China Eastern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines announced they canceled more than 200 round-trip flights on Tuesday that were bound for Taiwan over the busy Lunar New Year holiday, as tensions continued to escalate between China and Taiwan over airspace usage, according to Reuters.
