Zeenat Aman
Zeenat Aman (born 1951 in Bombay) is an Indian actress, model and beauty queen best known for her work in Hindi films during the 1970s and 80's. She won the Miss Asia Pacific 1970 title. She is the first South Asian woman to win the title. Upon making her debut in Bollywood, Zeenat Aman, along with Parveen Babi, was credited with making a lasting impact on the image of its leading actresses by introducing the modern look to Hindi cinema. Throughout her career she has been considered a sex symbol.
Early life
Zeenat Aman was born in Mumbai (then called Bombay) in 1951 to Amanullah Khan and Scinda. Her father, Amanullah Khan, was related to the Bhopal State ruling family. He was a script writer who made the script for such movies as Mughal-e-Azam and Pakeezah. Amanullah Khan often wrote under the nom de plume 'Aman' which she later adopted as her second name on screen. He died when Aman was 13. Her mother remarried a German man called Heinz (and was constantly referred to as Mrs. Heinz in all subsequent articles published in film magazines). Aman's mother obtained a German citizenship and took her to Germany where Zeenat Aman stayed temporarily. She returned to India when she turned 18. She is the cousin of actor Raza Murad and niece of actor Murad.

Vinod Mehra
Vinod Mehra (Hindi: विनोद मेहरा) (13 February 1945 – 30 October 1990) was an Indian actor in Bollywood films. He started out as a child actor in the late 1950s before starting his film career as an adult in 1971. He acted in over 100 films through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film Gurudev which was released 3 years after his death...
Career
Mehra made his debut in the 1958 film Raagni as a child artist playing the younger version of the character played by Kishore Kumar. After playing a few more minor roles as a child, he started his film career as an adult in 1971 with Ek Thi Rita, a smash hit based on the English play, 'A Girl Called Rita', along with Tanuja. He was one of finalists in the 1965 All India Talent Contest organised by United Producers and Filmfare from more than ten thousand contestants. He lost the contest to Rajesh Khanna and became male runner up of the contest.
This was followed by the film Parday Ke Peechhay opposite debutant Yogeeta Bali followed by Elaan (with Rekha), Amar Prem (1972) and Lal Patthar, though it was only Shakti Samanta's Anuraag (1972) with Maushmi Chatterjee, which established him as an actor. He went on to appear in over 100 films in his career spanning over two decades. He played the lead role in some of his earlier films but often acted in many multi-starrers as the secondary lead or played supporting roles such as a brother, friend, uncle, father and police officer. He worked with many actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Sunil Dutt and Dharmendra. His frequent female co-stars included Rekha, Maushmi Chatterjee, Yogeeta Bali, Shabana Azmi and Bindiya Goswami.

Girish Karnad
Girish Raghunath Karnad (Kannada: ಗಿರೀಶ್ ಕಾರ್ನಾಡ್; born 19 May 1938) is an Indian actor, film director, writer and playwright who predominantly works in South Indian cinema. His rise as a playwright in 1960s, marked the coming of age of modern Indian playwriting in Kannada, just as Badal Sarkar did in Bengali, Vijay Tendulkar in Marathi, and Mohan Rakesh in Hindi. He is a recipient of the 1998 Jnanpith Award, a prestigious literary honour conferred in India.
For four decades Karnad has been composing plays, often using history and mythology to tackle contemporary issues. He has translated his plays into English and has received acclaim. His plays have been translated into some Indian languages and directed by directors like Ebrahim Alkazi, B. V. Karanth, Alyque Padamsee, Prasanna, Arvind Gaur, Satyadev Dubey, Vijaya Mehta, Shyamanand Jalan and Amal Allana. He is active in the world of Indian cinema working as an actor, director, and screenwriter, in Hindi and Kannada flicks, earning awards along the way. He was conferred Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan by the Government of India and won four Filmfare Awards where three are Filmfare Award for Best Director – Kannada and one Filmfare Best Screenplay Award.

The film may begin with Sanjay's and Anita's love story but it soon leads to the triangle story Rekha-Shashi-Rakhee which is the film's central motive. Whereas Shashi Kapoor appears only in flashbacks, like a supporting character necessary for the plot, the central characters are Rakhee Gulzar's and Rekha's. The two actresses create in the scenes they share together a tension like the two famous enemy queens Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart. Rakhee has in this stride the more ungrateful role of the wife who takes away the illegitimate child from her rival, but Rakhee comes fairly by her task and surprises with nuances of expression she otherwise rarely shows. But the film's true heroine is Rekha who not only has to abandone her beloved and her child but even gets convicted for murder and is permitted to leave prison only for the final scene which moves to tears. Rekha acts intensely and convincingly and, like Rakhee too, makes no visible attempt to outplay her antagonist which benefits the plot very much. Sanjay and Anita fit beautifully into the story and do more than just good support. Anita Raaj comes across as mature and juvenile at the same time and assorts well with Sanjay (as well as shortly thereafter in Mera Haque). Sanjay "what the hell", who catches your eye with a terrific wardrobe range (from classical suit to colourful jumpers and from disco outfit to skintight jeans shorts), this time coped better with his drug addiction than at the same time in Mera Faisla; nevertheless his temperament and his presence go roller coaster: Partially he is top, e.g. in the first quarter of an hour with his tirades against Anita and a gorgeous mimic, but in between again there are scenes where he seems to be just not involved. And sorry, I will never understand why he had to expose himself topless though he was putting on weight at that time. I simply don't get it. All in all, Sanjay's performance in Zameen Aasman is okay. But honestly, even back then this role, where he primarily had to be just a nice young chap, was no big challenge for him. At most the dance scenes might have caused him some endeavour, as he had to master classical standard dance as well as hot disco dances. For like in Rocky, Sanjay once more goes John Travolta. One night Brindavan sees Mrs. Misra running away with the family jewellery, he tries to stop her but she does not. She gets away in Heera's car. One day Heera meets with Champa (Rameswari) and both fall in love and get married. Shortly after that Heera meets with an accident and his arms get paralyzed. Brindavan takes to driving the car and becomes the sole earner of this family. Misra takes advantage of this and manipulates Brindavan into taking a loan by pawning the car, which Brindavan does so. Then Misra spreads rumors about Brindavan and Champa having an illicit affair. Heera gets taken in by these rumors. The film may begin with Sanjay's and Anita's love story but it soon leads to the triangle story Rekha-Shashi-Rakhee which is the film's central motive. Whereas Shashi Kapoor appears only in flashbacks, like a supporting character necessary for the plot, the central characters are Rakhee Gulzar's and Rekha's. The two actresses create in the scenes they share together a tension like the two famous enemy queens Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart. Rakhee has in this stride the more ungrateful role of the wife who takes away the illegitimate child from her rival, but Rakhee comes fairly by her task and surprises with nuances of expression she otherwise rarely shows. But the film's true heroine is Rekha who not only has to abandone her beloved and her child but even gets convicted for murder and is permitted to leave prison only for the final scene which moves to tears. Rekha acts intensely and convincingly and, like Rakhee too, makes no visible attempt to outplay her antagonist which benefits the plot very much.
Sanjay and Anita fit beautifully into the story and do more than just good support. Anita Raaj comes across as mature and juvenile at the same time and assorts well with Sanjay (as well as shortly thereafter in Mera Haque). Sanjay "what the hell", who catches your eye with a terrific wardrobe range (from classical suit to colourful jumpers and from disco outfit to skintight jeans shorts), this time coped better with his drug addiction than at the same time in Mera Faisla; nevertheless his temperament and his presence go roller coaster: Partially he is top, e.g. in the first quarter of an hour with his tirades against Anita and a gorgeous mimic, but in between again there are scenes where he seems to be just not involved. And sorry, I will never understand why he had to expose himself topless though he was putting on weight at that time. I simply don't get it.
All in all, Sanjay's performance in Zameen Aasman is okay. But honestly, even back then this role, where he primarily had to be just a nice young chap, was no big challenge for him. At most the dance scenes might have caused him some endeavour, as he had to master classical standard dance as well as hot disco dances. For like in Rocky, Sanjay once more goes John Travolta. Synopsis: Heera (Girish Karnad) lives with his adopted brother Brindavan Biharilal (Mazhar Khan). While Brinda is employed with Ram Pyare Misra (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), Heera drives his car as a private taxi. One night Brindavan sees Mrs. Misra running away with the family jewellery, he tries to stop her but she does not. She gets away in Heera's car. When Misra finds out he is enraged and has Brindavan beaten-up. He is also angry with Heera for transporting his wife, and vows to take over his car by hook or by crook. One day Heera meets with Champa (Rameswari) and both fall in love and get married. Shortly after that Heera meets with an accident and his arms get paralyzed. Brindavan takes to driving the car and becomes the sole earner of this family. Misra takes advantage of this and manipulates Brindavan into taking a loan by pawning the car, which Brindavan does so. Then Misra spreads rumors about Brindavan and Champa having an illicit affair. Heera gets taken in by these rumors. Misra then asks the villagers that the only way Champa can redeem herself is to place her hands in boiling oil.

The film may begin with Sanjay's and Anita's love story but it soon leads to the triangle story Rekha-Shashi-Rakhee which is the film's central motive. Whereas Shashi Kapoor appears only in flashbacks, like a supporting character necessary for the plot, the central characters are Rakhee Gulzar's and Rekha's. The two actresses create in the scenes they share together a tension like the two famous enemy queens Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart. Rakhee has in this stride the more ungrateful role of the wife who takes away the illegitimate child from her rival, but Rakhee comes fairly by her task and surprises with nuances of expression she otherwise rarely shows. But the film's true heroine is Rekha who not only has to abandone her beloved and her child but even gets convicted for murder and is permitted to leave prison only for the final scene which moves to tears. Rekha acts intensely and convincingly and, like Rakhee too, makes no visible attempt to outplay her antagonist which benefits the plot very much.
Sanjay and Anita fit beautifully into the story and do more than just good support. Anita Raaj comes across as mature and juvenile at the same time and assorts well with Sanjay (as well as shortly thereafter in Mera Haque). Sanjay "what the hell", who catches your eye with a terrific wardrobe range (from classical suit to colourful jumpers and from disco outfit to skintight jeans shorts), this time coped better with his drug addiction than at the same time in Mera Faisla; nevertheless his temperament and his presence go roller coaster: Partially he is top, e.g. in the first quarter of an hour with his tirades against Anita and a gorgeous mimic, but in between again there are scenes where he seems to be just not involved. And sorry, I will never understand why he had to expose himself topless though he was putting on weight at that time. I simply don't get it.
All in all, Sanjay's performance in Zameen Aasman is okay. But honestly, even back then this role, where he primarily had to be just a nice young chap, was no big challenge for him. At most the dance scenes might have caused him some endeavour, as he had to master classical standard dance as well as hot disco dances. For like in Rocky, Sanjay once more goes John Travolta. Synopsis: Heera (Girish Karnad) lives with his adopted brother Brindavan Biharilal (Mazhar Khan). While Brinda is employed with Ram Pyare Misra (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), Heera drives his car as a private taxi. One night Brindavan sees Mrs. Misra running away with the family jewellery, he tries to stop her but she does not. She gets away in Heera's car. When Misra finds out he is enraged and has Brindavan beaten-up. He is also angry with Heera for transporting his wife, and vows to take over his car by hook or by crook. One day Heera meets with Champa (Rameswari) and both fall in love and get married. Shortly after that Heera meets with an accident and his arms get paralyzed. Brindavan takes to driving the car and becomes the sole earner of this family. Misra takes advantage of this and manipulates Brindavan into taking a loan by pawning the car, which Brindavan does so. Then Misra spreads rumors about Brindavan and Champa having an illicit affair. Heera gets taken in by these rumors. Misra then asks the villagers that the only way Champa can redeem herself is to place her hands in boiling oil.

Synopsis: Heera (Girish Karnad) lives with his adopted brother Brindavan Biharilal (Mazhar Khan). While Brinda is employed with Ram Pyare Misra (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), Heera drives his car as a private taxi. One night Brindavan sees Mrs. Misra running away with the family jewellery, he tries to stop her but she does not. She gets away in Heera's car. When Misra finds out he is enraged and has Brindavan beaten-up. He is also angry with Heera for transporting his wife, and vows to take over his car by hook or by crook. One day Heera meets with Champa (Rameswari) and both fall in love and get married. Shortly after that Heera meets with an accident and his arms get paralyzed. Brindavan takes to driving the car and becomes the sole earner of this family. Misra takes advantage of this and manipulates Brindavan into taking a loan by pawning the car, which Brindavan does so. Then Misra spreads rumors about Brindavan and Champa having an illicit affair. Heera gets taken in by these rumors. Misra then asks the villagers that the only way Champa can redeem herself is to place her hands in boiling oil.

The story is set in a small village in India where the villagers of different communities live in harmony. Pandit (Mazhar Khan) a Hindu, and Mirza (Gajanan Jagirdar) a Muslim, are two old friends who function as the village elders and look out for each other's families. An industrialist, Onkar, arrives to construct a dam in the village. He is opposed by the two friends and the other villagers. Onkar decides to create distrust and disunity between the two communities and friends. When a house is set on fire, Mirza is made to believe it is the work of Pandit and his son. Encouraged by the villagers, he is forced to ex-communicate the two. This causes strife and the dam is constructed. Finally the dam breaks and the two old friends come together again and die in their attempt to save lives.

Whilst the US and UK have committed unwavering support for the Zionist entity, it is clear to the rest of world that it is an occupying force terrorising the inhabitants of Gaza. Following these events we would like to make the following points:
1. The Zionist entity’s latest murderous assault proves more than ever that it has little regard for human life. They did not care that they were condemned after previous massacres in Jenin, Lebanon and Gaza. Calls for a ‘peace process’ only strengthen the Zionists. A ‘two-state solution’ would institutionalise imprisonment and oppression of Muslims. A repeated use of massive force, murderous actions and arrogance is the response of all nationalists and supremacists throughout history justifying killing and oppression in order for their ‘survival’.
2. Only armies can defend against an army of occupation. The Arab countries surrounding Palestine have sufficient force to liberate the usurped land, and end the oppression of the people – with over 2 million soldiers, spending over $100 billion on arms annually. Egypt alone has over 200 F-16 fighter planes and 450,000 soldiers.
3. The treacherous regimes in the Muslim world are the real protectors of the Zionist entity. It is only the treacherous regimes that block the Muslim armies from fulfilling their duty. Their condemnations and calls for ‘emergency summits’ are meaningless gestures while they maintain diplomatic, trade and military cooperation with the Zionist entity, as they have done before and after every criminal act of the past few decades.
4. These regimes must be replaced with the Islamic Khilafah Rashidah state – with rulers like Salahuddin or Muhammad al Fatih – that would mobilise the armies, liberate the land and rule over Muslim lands with justice, stability and harmony. Indeed, it is only under Islamic governance that this region enjoyed any peace and stability for any significant period.
