Subscribe for new videos: http://goo.gl/SaufF4 Voiceover by Rodney Tompkins: https://www.youtube.com/c/BigBadada2012 7: The Mississippi Civil Rights Workers' Murders In 1964, while Mississippi was heavily segregated, two civil rights workers, 24-year-old Michael Schwerner and 20-year-old Andrew Goodman, travelled from New York to help organize civil rights efforts, along with 20-year-old local African American James Chaney. They were working on behalf of the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE). When he arrived in Mississippi in January, Michael Schwerner organized a black boycott of a variety store in the city of Meridian, and afterwards fought for voting registration for African Americans. His acts aroused the interest of the Imperial Wizard of the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan of Mississippi, Sam Bowers, who sent word for Schwerner to be eliminated. On the evening of June 16th, two dozen armed KKK members attacked the African American Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Neshoba County, that Schwerner had previously arranged to use as a “Freedom School”. Although he wasn’t at church at that time, the Klansmen 6: The Triple KKK Murder in Kansas Nowadays, white supremacists are less violent than back in the day, when African American people were still fighting for their rights. Even so, in a more recent case, 74-year-old Frazier Glenn Cross, former leader of the Ku Klux Klan, was sentenced to death by lethal injection after he was found guilty of murdering three people outside Jewish retirement homes and community centers in Kansas. On April 13th, 2014, mid-day, Frazier Glenn Cross opened fire in a parking lot outside the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. First, he aimed his gun at two men, but both of 5: The Teenage Girl Killed with a Crossbow Three days after Christmas, in 1992, former KKK leader Russel Hinson, was riding around in a red pickup truck, with his friend and co-worker Guy Brown, in the driver’s seat. At that time, 16-year-old Felicia Houston was walking down Burke Street in Monroe, North Carolina, along with her cousins. While Brown was trying to convince him out of shooting at Felicia and her two cousins, telling him that they were “only girls”, Russel pulled out a crossbow and aimed it at the teenagers, saying “I don’t care, one of them 4: The murders of Charles Eddie Moore & Henry Hezekiah Dee Between 1963 and 1965, in Franklin County, Mississippi, the Ku Klux Klan was on a mission to deny equal rights and access to public services to African Americans, and to repress resistance to racial domination. The white supremacist group was engaged in a campaign of terror and racial violence, and its members often carried out attacks against both African Americans and whites they believed disobeyed the Klan edicts. African American 19-year-olds Charles Eddie Moore and Henry Hezekiah were thought to be bringing firearms into Franklin County. The KKK members 3: The lynching of Michael Donald On the evening of March 21st, 1981, nineteen-year-old African American Michael Donald was walking home, in Mobile Alabama. He was forced into a car by two other individuals, Ku Klux Klan members Henry Hays and James Knowles, who had been hunting him for allegedly killing a white policeman. He was then lynched, and his body was hanged from a tree, in the pattern of mob lynchings. Michael Donald had previously been trialed with the murder of a cop, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict. Ku Klux Klan members were left upset, because they believed that the case remained unsolved because some members of the jury were African American. After the trial, the KKK held a meeting. Henry Hays said “If a black man can get away with killing a white man, we ought to be able to get away with killing a black man”, and then proceeded to follow Michael Donald along with James Knowles 1: The Greensboro Massacre On November 3rd, 1979, approximately 100 people gathered on the streets of Greensboro, North Carolina. Members of the Communist Worker’s Party, along with other people, protested against the Ku Klux Klan, chanting “Death to the Klan” and challenging the Klansmen to a confrontation. Other similar demonstrations against the white supremacist group had previously taken place that year, so the civil-rights battles had started to get seriously heated by that time. Without warning, ten vehicles full of Ku Klux Klan members drove through the narrow streets where the Communist Worker’s Party
